Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I attend school online, which gives me a very flexible schedule. This allows me to travel for pet-sitting jobs and even stay overnight when needed, as long as there’s Wi-Fi so I can keep up with my classes. Since I’m currently applying for more jobs, my availability is open and adaptable, making it easy for me to provide consistent, reliable care for pets whenever I’m needed.

When caring for pets in my client’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routines as closely as possible so the pets feel comfortable and secure. I provide regular feeding, fresh water, playtime, and plenty of affection. I also take time to clean up after them, whether that’s refreshing litter boxes, wiping paws, or tidying up their spaces. If I’m staying overnight, I make sure the home stays neat and the pets get extra attention and companionship. My goal is always to create a safe, calm, and loving environment while keeping the owner’s home just as they left it.

A typical day
I love spending quality time outdoors with the pets I care for. Going on walks is one of my favorite activities, whether it’s taking dogs for a nice stroll or safely walking cats who enjoy exploring outside. I really enjoy being in nature and seeing how happy and curious animals get when they’re out having fun. I make sure every walk or playtime is both safe and enjoyable, giving the pets a chance to get fresh air, exercise, and attention.

Mikyra is a very sweet and well intentioned young woman. Unfortunately, things did not go as well as I had hoped. I had hired someone to stay with my dog full time (at holiday rates, I might add) for 9 days. I explained that I had never left her alone for this long with someone she didn't know, because she has abandonment issues. Indeed, in all seriousness, I referred to her as a "special needs" dog. I came home to find many signs that my dog had been extremely unsettled. My Nala was skinny. The house stank of dog urine and feces, a smell which I am still fighting 2 weeks later. It turns out that Mikyra had a part time job, which she had not mentioned to me. While she was only leaving for a few hours a day, had I known I would never have hired her. I know that Mikyra's coming and going had to be confusing and actually devastating to my "special needs" dog. I don't know whether she truly did understand the assignment, had bitten off more than she could chew, or is simply trying to do to much at a time. I really do wish her well, but she needs further training. Furthermore, I came home late at night on the 9th day to find lights on in nearly every room in the house on all 3 floors, with the AC blasting at 65 degrees! Seriously, girl?! Cabinet doors open, the microwave door open?! I did want you to be at ease in my home, but I didn't expect a hurricane to blow thru. I am saying this not at all in anger, but so you may know for the future. You might consider what it means to be at ease as a welcome guest in someone's home vs how you may behave at home. I turned to Rover because of a strong recommendation from my sister when my important trip came up suddenly. Unfortunately, I am very unhappy that I paid a small fortune for much less than I expected. (9 days at holiday rates when only the 1st two days were part of a long holiday weekend!) I doubt that I will be using your service again.
Mikyra was amazing! Sent photos and updates of my dogs daily. Also took good care of my house. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Mikyra was amazing when she took care of our dogs. She made sure the house was clean and sent us lots of pictures of the doggos while she was away.
