“Cheyanne was amazing! I had to find a last minute sitter for my senior dog because she was under the weather and couldn’t go to her typical boarder. In addition to being sick, my dog needs extra help doing some day to day things due to her age. Cheyanne was great and helped my dog feel safe in an unfamiliar environment.”
“Medley was incredible. She stepping in at the last minute. Her home is full of love and care. Willow had all the play and snuggles she could handle. Bruno the dog is super patient and gentle. I would leave our pups here anytime!!!”

About: Moonbabies Little Lodge offers boutique home boarding designed especially for small dogs who enjoy a calm household environment. Your dog will stay in a cozy home setting with a small resident pack of friendly toy-breed dogs and plenty of supervised outdoor playtime in our secure backyard play yard. Our yard features enrichment areas just for small dogs, including ramps, tunnels, lounging spots, and shaded cabana areas where pups can relax between play sessions. In warm weather we even bring out a splash pad for dogs who enjoy cooling off. Inside the home, dogs are part of the family during the day and sleep comfortably in their own individual night pens with beds and toys for a peaceful evening routine. Because this is a small home environment, we typically host only 2–3 guest dogs at a time, allowing us to give each dog plenty of attention and supervision. This setup works best for dogs who: • are under about 20 lbs • are comfortable around other small dogs • are house trained • can relax calmly in a pen or crate if needed A meet-and-greet is required before first bookings to ensure everyone is a good fit. We look forward to welcoming your pup to Moonbabies Little Lodge — where little dogs have big fun. Caring for dogs is already part of my everyday life! Guest dogs join our calm daily small-dog household routine with supervised backyard playtime, indoor relaxation, naps, cuddles, and social interaction throughout the day. I keep my guest list intentionally small so each dog receives close supervision and personal attention in a comfortable home environment. Moonbabies Little Lodge is designed specifically for friendly small dogs. Dogs enjoy supervised play in a secure fenced backyard and are introduced gradually to maintain a calm group dynamic. Guest dogs are monitored closely and separated if needed for rest, meals, or quiet time. Overnight, dogs sleep safely in cozy individual pens with their own bedding, food, and water.

“Nicole was wonderful! She provided excellent communication throughout our trip and sent photos, which gave me great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dog was well cared for, and having fun. In fact, when he came home, he cried because he missed his new friends and the environment he had grown so attached to. We couldn’t ask for a better indication of how happy and comfortable he was in her care. Highly recommend!”

“Shannon did a wonderful job with Royal. We felt so comfortable leaving him in her care. She walked him every morning and treated him like her own. We loved all the pictures and updates.”

“Julie was a wonderful fit for Sarge. She was very accommodating with a last-minute reservation and even with me messing up the drop off time she took great care of Sarge. Kept us updated with pictures and information about how he was doing”

“Olga is such a kind person and it is very clear how nice she loves and cares for dogs. I was anxious about leaving my pup because it was our first time apart. I got so many updates, my mind was put to ease right away! Highly recommend. I am absolutely going to use Olga in the future!”

“Kristy was absolutely wonderful with our amstaff/lab mix, Coltrane. From the very beginning, she was incredibly communicative, responsive, and thoughtful. She sent us lots of photos and updates throughout his stay, and it was obvious from every picture that Coltrane was happy, relaxed, and genuinely enjoying himself with Kristy and her family. One of the things we appreciated most was seeing Coltrane interacting so naturally and comfortably in their home environment. It gave us complete peace of mind knowing he was being treated like part of the family instead of just being “watched.” Kristy clearly loves dogs and pays close attention to their comfort and well-being. We would absolutely trust her with Coltrane again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and communicative sitter.”

“Cameron was great! He made Sadie feel right at home and made sure she got walked and given lots of attention. He was great at giving her her medicine and he even noticed that she was starting to get an ear infection and cleaned out her ear and let us know right away so we could call our vet. He sent lots of communication and Sadie stories and photos. There was a logistical issue that was entirely not his fault and he worked with me to make sure everything was settled correctly. I had to make a last minute change and he was flexible and ubderstanding.”

“Courtney was a wonderful sitter for our Colt! She provided daily updates with photos included. So glad we chose her to watch him while we were away, and I know who we will go to if we need her services in the future!”

“Gail is THE BEST!! You can tell she really loves animals, especially the dogs. She made my Fredo feel very relaxed and at home under her care. She has a lovely home and makes all of the dogs she cares for very comfortable. I would use her again to watch Fredo. Fredo can't wait to go back to play with Sky! Thanks Gail.”

“Amanda did a great job with Luna. She did not want to come home when I went to pick her up. She became friends with her little dog. Luna is almost 100 pounds and her dog like 10 pounds. I think they became buddies which is all good, I would definitely use Amanda again”

“Cooper’s home away from home! Cassie is great about sending regular updates and I can tell Cooper loves it there 😊 definitely our go-to when we’re out of town and can’t take Cooper with us!”

“We moved here from CA and dont have anyone to watch our babies. This was was first time using Rover or anyone i didn't know to watch our babies. I highly recommend Ashley to watch your fur kids. Our dogs stayed 4 nights and felt right at home. She sent many pictures each day and the girls were loving their doggie hotel. Ashley and her family treat the kids as their own. Lots of snuggles and ?”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Blue Springs
Buster just had his second stay with Alaniz and her family. It was wonderful and he did so well that I was able to relax on vacation. She takes great care of our guy and follows all of the instructions we provide. It is well worth driving a bit out of our way to know that Buster will be well cared for.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
