“Kianne was an excellent sitter for our cats! Our cats are older so they have a bit more nuance to their routine. Kianne was more than happy to accommodate them and is a PRO at giving medication. She sent many cute pictures and played with them lots. She even left on cat tv for them before she left. I would 100% recommend Kianne and book her again. Definitely someone who loves and cares for your pets as her own!”

“Stephanie was so helpful and kind with our two dogs! This was a first time using Rover and Stephanie exceeded all needs and eased our worry. With a senior dog who needs extra care and a younger dog who has much more energy, she was able to accommodate both of our boys to keep them happy and safe!”

“I can’t say enough good things about Amber! She took such wonderful care of my two cats and two dogs while I was away. From the very beginning, she was reliable, communicative, and clearly an animal lover. She gave me daily updates and photos, which gave me such peace of mind. When I came home, my pets were relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. The dogs had been exercised and loved on, and the cats had their routines kept up perfectly. Amber went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and that my home was just as I left it. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely caring for your pets, I highly recommend Amber. I’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“Allison was absolutely exceptional with my girls, Bella and Izzy while we went on vacation. She went above and beyond every single day, showering both pups with so much love and care. My ball-obsessed Lab had the best time when Allison played ball with her (even in the snow)—she really embraced her endless energy and made sure she got all the play she craves. Izzy got her special walks too! She did all the little extras, sent tons of adorable photos and updates so I never worried once while on our trip. I could tell from every message that both Bella and Izzy were getting the best possible care. Allison is incredibly reliable, thoughtful, and clearly passionate about what she does. I felt completely at peace having her help with my dogs and I can’t wait to book with her again soon. Highly recommend Allison to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving sitter—she’s a true gem!”

“Emily is very timely and spends time with our dogs and they really seem ti like her. We are feeling very lucky to have finally found someone we can trust in our home and with our dogs when we aren’t there !”

“Griffin was awesome with my 9 month old, energetic puppy! He was reliable and prompt and sent awesome updates with pictures! Would definitely recommend!”

“Beth is very nice, punctual and caring. Beth did an amazing job checking on Lea (my cat) while I was out of town. She gave her medicine and then sat and played with her a bit after feeding her too. It was such a relief knowing someone was checking on her and taking care of her. I would definitely re-book with Beth!”

“Jennifer was great! She came over once a day to feed the cat and clean the litter box. I got lots of updates and photos. It was nice to get messages from someone who enjoyed hanging out with my cat.”
“Valerie was amazing, and was so caring and detailed with our two kitty boys. We’ve been so worried about not being able to leave them due to medication schedules, but Valerie was reliable and consistent with medication administration and gave them much needed love and attention while we were gone!”

“Erin has been a very responsible caretaker. I give her very good ratings. Hopefully she can be a repeat sitter while I'm kennel training a new puppy. Erin did wonderful.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Overland Park
August was simply amazing! This was our first time utilizing Rover and having someone we didn't know check in our pets. We also know that our puppy isn't the easiest of puppies, but August really handled each drop in with intention and grace. They made sure that Shadow had all she needed and was sure to work her brain and her body even if Shadow wasn't as interested in participating. We loved the updates and pictures during the day, and the puppy even lost her first tooth and August was able to find it!

Alison was amazing with my kitty Tilly! She sent me updates every day to let me know how she was doing. She took such great care of her and even took the time to play with her and give her some treats. Tilly was in great hands while I was out of town. Alison is a rockstar!

Stephanie was so helpful and kind with our two dogs! This was a first time using Rover and Stephanie exceeded all needs and eased our worry. With a senior dog who needs extra care and a younger dog who has much more energy, she was able to accommodate both of our boys to keep them happy and safe!

Kianne is the best rover person we’ve ever had! She is so caring and patient with our dog. Her notes are very detailed and she takes a lot of pictures that show all of the fun things she does with our dog. We recently had a baby, and Kianne was a huge life saver helping us take care of our dog while we were in the hospital. I cannot say enough good things about her!

Grace! You are so wonderful! Thank you so much for watching our boys! We were out of town for an extended holiday and it was so relieving seeing how much fun the boys had with Grace. We anxiously waited for photos and the report card and were never disappointed. She took amazing care of them and we can not thank her enough!

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
