Rachel was great! She did all the objective things well - was on time, fed and medicated correctly, etc. She was also a clear and consistent communicator, she took great photos, and my dog liked her (he's quick to go on a hunger strike if he's stressed but he ate well with her). My cat full-time hides when there's a human who isn't me in our house, but Rachel sent detailed updates on what she was able to observe (e.g., food consumed, frequency of litter box use). After I left, I realized I had forgotten to put the compost in my freezer into the bucket, so I texted Rachel to ignore the instructions about putting the compost bucket at the curb - Rachel responded by asking if the bin in the freezer was what needed to go in the bucket and said she'd take care of it, which was a huge help. We had a pretty bad storm while Rachel was here and she gathered up the many sticks and branches that had fallen all over my yard. Totally above and beyond!
I really can’t say enough great things about Maddie. She’s the first pet sitter we’ve ever hired and I immediately felt good vibes from her and felt I could trust her with my babies. She sent me pictures and updates and even drew a beautiful pictures of my Birdie Girl 🩷 My house was clean when we came home and nothing was out of place.
