About: I've cared for pets since I was a kid and have always had a pet of my own. From high school through college, I worked as a Boarding Assistant at a veterinarian's office, caring for both dogs and cats. Although pets were boarded at the vet, I made it a priority tonhelo them feel safe, comfortable and at home. I walked dogs, played fetch, and spent time socializing with the cats. I also have experience administering medication to dogs and cats, both orally and injections. I have personal experience with kittens and puppies, as well as fostering and caring for cats and dogs for family friends beyond my own pets. I currently work as an Industrial Designer and I go to the office for a regular 9 to 5. I recently relocated from Detroit so my afternoons are wide open, as well as the weekends. I treat pets as I would want my own to be treated—with care, patience, and respect for their routines. I adhere to each pet’s individual needs, whether it’s daily walks, diet, or specific quirks and preferences shared by their owner.
About: I have lived decades with animals in my life. Dogs, Cats, Birds, Rodents, Fish and more. With the exception of a few years deployed on a Navy Sub I have always lived with animals. As I approach retirement from the Sheriff's 911 center I plan to travel internationally and need to experiment with ways to get my dog fix when back in the USA. So the next 2 yrs I will try adding this (dog sitting) into my very flexible work schedule and see if it will become part of Carter 2.0 I can say with confidence I can't handle most anything that arises. Recently retired from the Sheriff's 911 center. I have a very flexible schedule. I can adjust as needed to fit the needs of the stay. I am respectful and caring. I will work with you to ensure that your family members are as comfortable with me as possible. If a few introductory visits are needed I will be available.
