This is my first time ever using a dog service app. My search was short notice. I am forever grateful for Ms. Lindsey and her compassion for animals. I was very upfront to Ms. Lindsey for everything. I even got home early, therefore she was not able to walk my second. However, because it was short notice, and I’ll invest money into my babies, I did not care about the second walk or paying for it. For a person like me to have trust issues, is not easy to have strangers come into my house with animals that have never had a chance to defend themselves. Ms. Lindsey was so kind, etc. that I felt as ease with her coming in. I EXTREMELY recommend her. I am also disabled and will use Ms. Lindsey in future services from her. A shout out to you Ms. Lindsey and thank you to Rover that helps the community in big ways! 🫶🏼💕🐶🤙🏽👍🏽🙏🏽

Iryna has been absolutely incredible with helping take care of my baby boy Rango during my transition to California to Kansas and getting settled into my career my work schedule is VERY demanding and long days. I have absolutely nothing negative to say and only positive feedback as far as her commitment to making sure that he’s not only walked for a good long distance, but also loved and taken care of with affection and care while I am gone during my work hours I see pictures constantly of her petting and holding him and he is a very compassionate, loving dog and needs exactly that while I’m gone on my long days I’m very appreciative as well of the treats and comfort she has provided him thank you so much for over for allowing me to find someone to help me and my little guy!

I can’t say enough about how great Piper has been with our dogs and cat. She walked our dogs four times a day for seven days. I have one dog that has high anxiety around strangers, she worked with her the whole time and was able to become best friends with her. If you need someone to help with any of your pets, Piper is your best choice. Thanks Piper!

He leaves detailed notes with tons of pictures about our pup’s walks and really cares about our dog and her well being and health. Thank you, Griffin!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was two years old—often caring for multiple dogs at once—so managing different personalities, energy levels, and routines comes naturally to me. I’ve also cared for a dog with special needs, which has given me a deeper understanding of patience, attentiveness, and the importance of following specific care instructions. I treat every pet like they’re my own, focusing on their comfort, routine, and emotional well-being so they feel safe, happy, and loved while in my care. I run my own business from home, which allows me to seamlessly incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I’m able to be with my dog throughout the day, giving her plenty of attention, playtime, cuddles, and care whenever she needs it. I’m able to provide attentive, consistent care for pets both in my home and in a client’s home. Since I have full control of my schedule it allows me to be present throughout the day for feeding, walks, playtime, and companionship. In my home, pets receive a calm, comfortable environment with plenty of supervision and affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to maintain their usual routines and environment, ensuring they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while their owner is away.

About: I have three years of consistent dog-walking experience with the same family and their two dachshunds, visiting three times a week (1 hour walking) without missing a scheduled walk. That long-term commitment taught me the importance of reliability, routine, and building trust with both pets and their owners. I have also provided dog-sitting care for several families, often for about one month at a time, and have cared for dogs of different sizes and personalities. I take time to understand each pet’s normal routine, energy level, preferences, and communication style so they can feel safe and comfortable in my care. In addition to dogs, I am comfortable caring for cats and have many years of experience around horses through riding and handling. This has helped me become patient, observant, calm, and attentive to changes in an animal’s behavior. I genuinely enjoy building a bond through dependable care, play, companionship, and respect for each pet’s individual needs. I currently have a flexible weekday schedule and am usually available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. I have plenty of time to give each pet calm, unhurried attention and am happy to follow their usual routine for walks, meals, playtime, rest, and companionship. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable in their own routine. I take time to learn each pet’s feeding schedule, personality, favorite activities, boundaries, and any special instructions from their owner. Whether I am caring for a dog or a cat, I keep doors and gates secure, handle leashes and carriers carefully, and pay attention to their behavior and comfort level. I also respect the owner’s home, keep pet areas clean, and leave everything as I found it. I am happy to send photos and updates during each visit, so you can relax knowing your pet is being cared for with patience, attention, and kindness.

About: I have had dogs my entire life and seriously don't know a life without them. I have two stubborn, little dachshunds who think they're in charge most of the time. They also have two human sisters who they are very overprotective of (they’re 8 years old and 1 year old). My oldest dachshund had surgery for IVDD a few years ago so I am familiar with administering oral medication and providing needed crate rest. I have experience in taking care of puppies all the way up to the more cranky and older dogs. My husband and I work opposite schedules so there will always be someone home with your pup. I'm responsible, reliable, and I promise to treat your fur babies as if they were my own! For boarding, the amount of time your dog is left alone will be very minimal since my husband and I work opposite schedules. I have my dogs to take care of too so I’m used to caring for pets. For drop in visits, I can only do so before 7:30am and after 5pm, unless it’s a weekend. My availability can vary on weekends so just reach out and I’ll see if I can help! I have a fenced in yard for your pets to play in and go potty. I’m also able to crate them if necessary. I will feed your pets separately from mine so there are no altercations.

Allison is amazing! She does drop-in visits for our dog and is always perfectly on time, super reliable, and great at communicating. She’s also incredibly flexible with our schedule, which we appreciate so much. Most importantly, she truly loves our dog — and he absolutely adores her right back. He’s always sad when she leaves! Knowing he’s in such good hands gives us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend Allison to anyone looking for someone caring and dependable.

This is our 2nd week using Matthew. He has been on time every day & spends the full hour with our two boys. It’s nice to know that they are being taken care of when we are at work. One of our dogs needs medication during the visit & he makes sure that it’s given at the scheduled time.

  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
