I work remotely 100% of the time, so I am able to do my job from anywhere in the world. I don’t mind travelling more of a distance for house sitting or spending a couple days away from home, however, for drop ins, dog walking and quicker or multiple times per day services, I will keep my radius set to 10 miles. This is better for myself, but it also guarantees each of your babies will get the consistency they deserve! On weekdays, I can spend the afternoon with your animals, or I can pop in multiple times throughout the day for exercise, feeding and snuggles. I can also be available to stay overnight during the week if the plan is made in advance. On weekends, again, with advanced planning I can stay in your home with your pets, or I can pop in as needed or spend several hours at a time with your pets, depending on your preference. If doing a drop in for more than 3 hours but not overnight, I will need to charge a baseline of 3 hours drop in fees. Overnight fees are for 2+ nights only.

I will be mindful of caring for your pet as close to the way you do it as possible. If walks are preferred for your dogs, we will spend the days walking on the same schedule you would. If running around the back yard playing fetch or catch is your dog’s favorite game, we will wear ourselves out with all the fetch and shenanigans we can take. For cat lovers, if your cat is one who would simply like to come to the person when pets are wanted, I will respect this, but if your baby wants to spend the day chasing laser pointers and playing with feather dangles, we can do that too! If you’re someone who has both cats and dogs, let me know what they love and what they are not big fans of and I will adapt to accommodate anything needed for your special fur babies! My goal will always be to maintain routine and allow your pets the most stress free experience possible. Being away from their human is hard, they should at least know what they can expect throughout their day.

The daily activities for your pet will depend highly on their preferences. Some animals want to spend the day doing high energy exercise, while others prefer a low stimulation, quiet day. I want your pet to feel relaxed and as though there is no upheaval in their daily routine.

Hello! I am one of the lucky individuals who has lived my entire life around pets in my home and in the homes of those around us. I started officially dog sitting when I was 18 years old (how has it already been 20 years since then!?) I have loads of experience with animals of all kinds. I spent time as a surgical assistant at an emergency vet. I have volunteered at shelters and adoption organizations. My vet teases that I am the Olathe animal rescue for animals who need special care. I have rescued many and I always find a way to adapt to the needs of my babies. I have experience with Seniors, special dietary restrictions, medication administration including insulin injections and blood sugar testing. I have developed many of my own in home practices for my own animals. With a big boy (133lb Labrador) who has digestive issues and severe allergies, I have developed a meal plan that’s easily digestible and allows his digestive tract the peace it needs to calm down and reset, as well as many different options for maintaining allergy relief, both homeopathic and medicinal as needed. I believe dogs are far too good for us humans, so we need to treat them as the blessings they truly are. There is nothing more genuine than a dogs love.

Cortney was fantastic. Her love of animals is unparalleled. Our dog Stormy is picky of those she lets in her circle and she took to Cortney almost immediately. Definitely someone I would let look after my fur babies anyday!! Highly recommend!!

If I could leave 100 stars for Cortney…I would. She’s absolutely amazing in every way. I usually do not go on vacation much as I hate to leave my doggies. We took a 9 day trip and I didn’t worry ONCE about them. Cortney provided daily updates and pictures. My very timid Chihuahua doesn’t trust anyone but he LOVED Cortney. To say she’s a blessing is an understatement. We will without a doubt book with Cortney again.
Cortney did such a great job taking care of our dogs!!! She was so conscientious and went above and beyond. I would love having her take care of our pups again!!!
