“Amy has been absolutely amazing. She has been walking Jack 5 days a week for last couple months. She was always there and on time, exactly on time. She was amazing to deal with and was always flexible if we had unexpected day off due to weather. Unfortunately our dog passed away and is the only reason we had to cancel, otherwise we would have continued to depend on her services. Thank you Amy.”

“Lilli absolutely wonderful! I book with her pretty much weekly and she is very flexible and communicative when days do/ don’t work! I can tell Archie is well taken care of when she comes to walk him!”

About: I have taken care of dogs and puppies and knowing how they need to be handled during highschool and while being in college as a pre med student. I have had people rely on me for dog walks, baths, dog sitting, interacting with other dogs as well. I have experience with different types of breeds as well and with their temperaments. I also have a 2 year old husky and a 9 month old husky that I taught silent commands to. So I am experienced in training puppies as well! I am very for boarding because your dogs will always be entertained and comforted due to me also having dogs myself that need alot of attention. I have two huskys one 2 year old and then a 9 month old. They are taken out around 5-6 times and fed twice a day. They love playing with each other and getting to play with me. They have endless amounts of toys and full of energy. They are trained to be fully off leash dogs. In a clients home I would be able to care for their animals according to how the client wants me too. I am able to walk and take out pickup after an animals as needed while caring for them. They would be played with and entertained throughout the day.
“This is my first time ever using a dog service app. My search was short notice. I am forever grateful for Ms. Lindsey and her compassion for animals. I was very upfront to Ms. Lindsey for everything. I even got home early, therefore she was not able to walk my second. However, because it was short notice, and I’ll invest money into my babies, I did not care about the second walk or paying for it. For a person like me to have trust issues, is not easy to have strangers come into my house with animals that have never had a chance to defend themselves. Ms. Lindsey was so kind, etc. that I felt as ease with her coming in. I EXTREMELY recommend her. I am also disabled and will use Ms. Lindsey in future services from her. A shout out to you Ms. Lindsey and thank you to Rover that helps the community in big ways! 🫶🏼💕🐶🤙🏽👍🏽🙏🏽”

“Tyrese is very kind, friendly & patient with Miss Peanut. She's skeptical, shy & intimidated by all strangers. Tyrese took his time with her, showed her love & she allowed him to pick her up to go for her walk. I will ask Tyrese to walk Miss Peanut again & again! Great service!”

About: I love dogs and we recently lost our family dog (Pedro) that we were blessed to consider part of the family since I was little. Pedro was my personal dog and loyal protector and we miss him very much. I live in Lenexa, KS (my hometown) during the summers, and the rest of the year I live abroad in Portugal as a professional soccer player. Not being able to have animals of my own makes me really miss having a dog of my own and being around animals. I am looking to dogsit or dogwalk as much as possible this summer in the KC area, and have experience taking care of and training my own dogs, as well as dogsitting and dogwalking dogs of various ages and breeds. I am responsible, organized and hardworking. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me for any dogcare needs you may have! :) I have a very flexible schedule in the summers, usually training in the evenings and having the rest of the day flexible to what availability is needed. At home we have a very large yard and live close to 2 amazing parks (Lake Lenexa and Shawnee Mission Park, which has a great dog park). My father works from home so there is always someone at home to take care of and watch pets the times of day I find myself out of the house.
“Griffin is amazing!! So very glad we found him. He is fantastic with dogs (including our high energy black lab big “puppy”). He is incredibly reliable, great communication, and goes the extra mile. He leaves detailed notes with tons of pictures about our pup’s walks and really cares about our dog and her well being and health. Thank you, Griffin!”

About: We are an active family that loves fresh air and exercise. We regularly walk, run, hike, and bike on the nearby trails and at Blackhoof park and Shawnee Mission park. We have 4 kiddos who love to cuddle and play with dogs. Our 10 year old black lab passed away a few years ago and we decided to wait for our next pet while raising the kids. While we don’t have a dog of our own right now, we love to cuddle our doggie friends when they come over to visit! We have a large fully fenced backyard so there is plenty of room to run around and play fetch. I am at home during the day so potty breaks and outside playtime are available all day long. Of course there is plenty of time for snuggles too! I am a stay at home parent with 3 kids in school and 1 in preschool. Except for occasional errands or picking the kids up from school, I am at home most of the time so outside playtime and potty breaks can happen whenever needed. Dogs have free roam of the house but we could crate your dog when we are away if that is your preference. We live on a a cul de sac and have a fenced in backyard, making outside playtime easily available. We love to play with our doggie friends!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child, I have experienced with cats and even lizards or birds. I genuinely love animals and understand each one requires different levels of care, after raising my own dog through college I know patience and a lot of love are required to keep a happy dog! I work a very flexible schedule and with a few days notice can fit most anything into my day/week. I’m very good with time management and make my responsibilities a priority! I’ve experienced pets with all kinds of temperaments, manners, and needs, because of this I feel comfortable understanding what routines may be required for them. I love to exercise and I know pets do too so I’m happy to walk dogs or play in the yard with them during a visit. I’m great with following direction and can administer any necessary medicine or care, along with following a feeding and potty schedule as needed! I’m also comfortable dealing with dogs that have aggression or reactivity toward other animals or strangers, this is a behavior I’ve worked with quite a bit.
About: Allow me to give your pets the same love and affection that I always give my own! I currently live with my husband, our 3 cats, and 1 dog. I lived out in the country growing up and over the years I have taken care of dozens of cats, dogs, horses, cows, and many other animals. I am looking to earn extra income to help my husband and I save up for a house. Please and thank you all for looking! I really look forward to caring for your furry family members! For the summer, I am available throughout the week and occasional weekends, during daylight hours! For any walks though, I would prefer mornings/evenings to protect your fur baby's feet and my pale skin from the harsh sun/temps! I always provide the upmost respect to pets, their owners, and whatever space we might be in. I am very detail oriented so rule following is an absolute MUST for me.
About: Hi, I’m Victoria! Dogs are my passion. I have worked at two prominent doggy daycares in the Kansas City area and I have a background in rescue and fostering! I am experienced with wide variety of dogs and situations, including dogs with aggression! While your pet is my care, safety will be my top priority. I can perform nail trims and bathing as well as help with basic training. I have two senior dogs of my own, both of whom are off leashed trained and well socialized! All my pets are up to date on rabies vaccinations as well! We also have a backyard with a privacy fence for your pup to play and romp in with my dogs! Your pet is in great hands when they stay at my home! We cannot wait to meet you and your pet!

Nick has been the best!! Our pup is our world so we were anxious at first at the thought of someone new taking care of her but we’re so glad we found him. He’s so communicative, understanding, and knowledgeable. He goes above and beyond and is someone we can trust. We know that when she’s with him she’s being well cared for and treated like a princess. 😊

Stacy Y. is the absolute best! My dogs LOVE her. She is great with stubborn and strong dogs as well. We liked her so much, several of my neighbors now use her as well! She is a wonderful communicator and is always on time. I would book her every single day if I could!!!! Huge endorsement for Stacy.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
