About: I grew up around dogs and have always had a love for caring for animals. From a young age, I helped take care of my own dogs and would also help family members by babysitting, walking, feeding, and spending time with their dogs. Being around different breeds and personalities has taught me how to be patient, responsible, and attentive to each dog’s individual needs. I truly enjoy making pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while their owners are away. I have a baby of my own his name is Rocky he’s Australian Shepherd beagle mix. I’m always active I work as a medical assistant. I am a trustworthy and dependable dog sitter who treats every pet like they are my own. I understand how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your dog in someone else’s care, which is why I prioritize safety, communication, and giving each dog the attention and love they deserve. I am responsible, patient, and committed to creating a comfortable and positive experience for both pets and their owners.

About: I am looking at getting a full time job when I can. For now, I would love to be doing this. I have had dogs all my life, so you learn how to take care of all sorts of breeds. I have also been able to take care of cats as well as horses. I currently am looking for a full time job, so I have open availability. Except Saturdays and Sundays. Got to have some days off, right!!! Taking care of pets at someone's home means feeding them, taking them outside, playing with them. I'm able to board and my dog would love the company.

About: I grew up with dogs, so once I graduated college, I started dog sitting as a way to get my fix in. In the past several years, I've worked with cocker spaniels, pugs, golden retrievers, border collies, pit bulls, Austrialian cattle dogs, and mutts :) I have experience working with multiple dogs at the same time, as well as dog and people aggressive dogs. I have a house with lots of space for playing, and a fenced in yard so friends can run around my backyard. I am currently not working, so I am very flexible on my availability! My daughter is in part-time daycare and is home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I am free virtually all day Monday/Wednesday/Friday! I have had Rover sitters watch my pet before, so I know how important it is to be respectful of someone else's space. I'll make it a priority to leave your home as I found it!

About: I began consistently dog sitting throughout high school starting in 2022. Since then, I’ve built strong relationships with many repeat clients who continue to trust me to care for their pets whenever they’re away. Neighbors, friends, and families rely on me to walk, feed, bathe, and provide attentive, dependable care. As an Animal Science student, I have hands-on experience working with animals, giving me a deeper understanding of animal behavior, health, and proper care. What sets me apart is my reliability, communication, and attention to detail. I treat every pet like my own and make sure their routine stays consistent and stress-free. I’m comfortable with puppies, high-energy dogs, and senior pets that need extra patience and care. I can follow feeding schedules, administer basic medications, and provide plenty of exercise, playtime, and affection. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so you always know your pet is in good hands. I’m not working this summer, so I have a very open and flexible schedule to dedicate to pet care. I’m available Monday through Sunday for walks, drop-ins, sitting, and boarding, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. This allows me to give your pet plenty of attention, exercise, and consistent care throughout the day. I’m also flexible with last minute bookings and can easily adjust to your pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I make sure all outdoor time is supervised and dogs are always on a leash to ensure their safety. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and needs, and I always follow your specific instructions, including feeding schedules, medications, and routines. I provide a clean, calm, and structured environment where your pet can feel safe and relaxed. I’m experienced with dogs of different temperaments and energy levels, and I take the time to make sure they are comfortable and well cared for. Whether I’m in my home or yours, I treat every pet like my own and prioritize trust, consistency, and safety at all times.

About: I’ve been dog and cat sitting for friends, neighbors, and strangers for years now and have many recommendations from playing fetch, going on runs/walks, TLC, giving medicine to animals, multiple drop ins a day. I am allergic to cats but as long as I know in advance to prep with some allergy relief, I will be okay! Can’t wait to meet your fur babies! I’m currently working part time. I have a very flexible schedule to stay and play or a quick drop in to feed and let your pet out. I’m very respectful and will treat your fur baby like my own. If they need a play partner, my dog loves to play fetch and chase in circles-she can run sprints for an hour straight if we need any energy to get out!

About: I’ve owned dogs and cats since I was little and have years of experience pet sitting for family and friends. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I’m reliable, timely, and flexible, and I make sure every furry friend gets the attention, care, and love they deserve. I currently work full-time but love caring for animals in my free time. I work remotely on Mondays and Fridays and am in the office Tuesday through Thursday, so my availability varies slightly throughout the week. I’m generally available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and I always make time to ensure pets get the attention and care they deserve. When caring for pets, their safety and comfort are my top priority. I follow each owner’s instructions closely to maintain their normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. About: Hi, I’m Shanna! I provide care at your home so your pets can stay comfortable in their normal routine while you’re away. As a remote worker, I’m able to stay at your home during work hours - great for pets who are used to company throughout the day! My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible. I am happy to follow detailed instructions, and I provide regular updates and photos so you always know how things are going. Specialties: I have a soft spot for shy or nervous pets, and I take extra care to follow their lead and let them warm up at their own pace. My experience caring for my own anxious and reactive dog has given me extra understanding for pets who need a predictable environment and time to build trust. I am also experienced with puppies and young dogs, and I understand the importance of consistency, routine reinforcement, and providing outlets for their energy while they’re still learning. Meet & Greet: I always like to schedule a meet-and-greet with new clients to make sure everyone feels comfortable and that we are a good match. For safety, my husband Nathan may join me for this first visit, but all pet care and in-home services are always provided by me. I work primarily from home and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to plan my day around your pet's needs, whether that means drop-in visits, walks, or spending extra time keeping them company. I truly enjoy making them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I treat every pet and home with the care and respect I’d want for my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet (and your space) in someone else’s hands, and I don’t take that lightly. For pets, I stick as closely as possible to their normal routine. I pay attention to their behavior and needs, and their safety and well-being is always my top priority. In your home I am very mindful that I am a guest. I keep things clean, make sure everything stays secure, and treat your space with respect. I aim to leave everything just as you left it. I am happy to keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is well cared for.

About: I've grown up around dogs of all kinds. My mom groomed dogs out of our home for the first 7 years of my life, I trained and showed dogs in 4-H for 11 years, and I've had dogs in my adult life. I love being around dogs, taking them for walks, and working with them. I'm in nursing school and I love taking care of animals (and people). I am available all day Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Contact me to work out a good schedule for you! I walk on quiet streets or designated walkways only. I always have dogs on a leash, plenty of poop bags, and give plenty of space to other dogs and people to avoid any conflicts. I work on heeling as well to build trust and increase good leash manners.

Anna was a lifesaver. She walked my puppy Clark 5 days in a row. She was very communicative with me, and let me know the time frame in which she’d be coming to take him. Took pictures and updated me on everything. I HIGHLY recommend Anna and will definitely be choosing her to walk Clark next time I need it.

About: I have had many different breeds of dogs while growing up. I love being around all the different personalities that come with the breeds. I love taking my dogs for walks and giving them all my attention. I have had friends and family members all ask me to take care of their dogs and I haven’t let them down yet! I am currently in chiropractic school full time. So I am in school from 7:30am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday. Early mornings and later in the evenings would work best for me I would be sure to keep your dogs on a leash when I let them out. I also make sure that they get all the pets and attention that they need while I visiting with them.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
