About: I’ve owned dogs and cats since I was little and have years of experience pet sitting for family and friends. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy. I’m reliable, timely, and flexible, and I make sure every furry friend gets the attention, care, and love they deserve. I currently work full-time but love caring for animals in my free time. I work remotely on Mondays and Fridays and am in the office Tuesday through Thursday, so my availability varies slightly throughout the week. I’m generally available for walks, drop-ins, and pet sitting in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends, and I always make time to ensure pets get the attention and care they deserve. When caring for pets, their safety and comfort are my top priority. I follow each owner’s instructions closely to maintain their normal routine for feeding, walks, playtime, and rest. I make sure pets feel comfortable in their familiar environment while keeping things clean and secure. I’m attentive to their needs and provide lots of love, attention, and updates so owners feel confident their pets are in good hands.

About: Hi, I’m Shanna! I provide care at your home so your pets can stay comfortable in their normal routine while you’re away. As a remote worker, I’m able to stay at your home during work hours - great for pets who are used to company throughout the day! My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible. I am happy to follow detailed instructions, and I provide regular updates and photos so you always know how things are going. Specialties: I have a soft spot for shy or nervous pets, and I take extra care to follow their lead and let them warm up at their own pace. My experience caring for my own anxious and reactive dog has given me extra understanding for pets who need a predictable environment and time to build trust. I am also experienced with puppies and young dogs, and I understand the importance of consistency, routine reinforcement, and providing outlets for their energy while they’re still learning. Meet & Greet: I always like to schedule a meet-and-greet with new clients to make sure everyone feels comfortable and that we are a good match. For safety, my husband Nathan may join me for this first visit, but all pet care and in-home services are always provided by me. I work primarily from home and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to plan my day around your pet's needs, whether that means drop-in visits, walks, or spending extra time keeping them company. I truly enjoy making them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I treat every pet and home with the care and respect I’d want for my own. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet (and your space) in someone else’s hands, and I don’t take that lightly. For pets, I stick as closely as possible to their normal routine. I pay attention to their behavior and needs, and their safety and well-being is always my top priority. In your home I am very mindful that I am a guest. I keep things clean, make sure everything stays secure, and treat your space with respect. I aim to leave everything just as you left it. I am happy to keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is well cared for.
About: Hi, I’m Nate! I’m 19 and have had dogs most of my life. I’ve independently cared for our family dog, Loki, for five years — managing walks, feeding, and daily care. I’m currently dog sitting for my cousin’s German Shepherd/Husky mix, Wallie, he was rescued from an abusive situation, helping him build trust and feel safe. I’m patient, attentive, and experienced with anxious and high-energy dogs. I’ll treat your dog like family and provide updates and photos for peace of mind! Pet sitting is my primary focus right now, which means I have open availability and can provide reliable, attentive care throughout the day. I’m committed to making this my main job and building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. For safety and comfort, I provide care in your home so your dog can stay in their familiar environment and routine. I treat every home with respect and responsibility. Your dog’s safety is my top priority, and I carefully follow all instructions to ensure they feel secure, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.
“This is my first time ever using a dog service app. My search was short notice. I am forever grateful for Ms. Lindsey and her compassion for animals. I was very upfront to Ms. Lindsey for everything. I even got home early, therefore she was not able to walk my second. However, because it was short notice, and I’ll invest money into my babies, I did not care about the second walk or paying for it. For a person like me to have trust issues, is not easy to have strangers come into my house with animals that have never had a chance to defend themselves. Ms. Lindsey was so kind, etc. that I felt as ease with her coming in. I EXTREMELY recommend her. I am also disabled and will use Ms. Lindsey in future services from her. A shout out to you Ms. Lindsey and thank you to Rover that helps the community in big ways! 🫶🏼💕🐶🤙🏽👍🏽🙏🏽”

“Lilli absolutely wonderful! I book with her pretty much weekly and she is very flexible and communicative when days do/ don’t work! I can tell Archie is well taken care of when she comes to walk him!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have owned 8 dogs total, with as many as four at one time. I’ve cared for all kinds of breeds and personalities, from Great Danes and German Shepherds to Sheepadoodles, Airedales, and mixed breeds. I’m very comfortable with both large and small dogs, energetic dogs, and puppies. I also have experience around litters of puppies since one of my dogs had puppies multiple times while I was growing up, so I’m used to younger dogs and all the energy that comes with them. I genuinely love spending time with dogs, whether that’s playing, going on walks, giving attention, or just making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’m very patient, responsible, and will treat your pets like they’re my own. I’m a college student home for break, so I have a very flexible schedule and lots of free time. I just ask for 3 days notice for changes! I have two big dogs at home, so I’m very comfortable with active dogs and daily care routines. I love playing, cuddling, feeding, and keeping pets active and comfortable.

“Anna was a lifesaver. She walked my puppy Clark 5 days in a row. She was very communicative with me, and let me know the time frame in which she’d be coming to take him. Took pictures and updated me on everything. I HIGHLY recommend Anna and will definitely be choosing her to walk Clark next time I need it.”

I have had at least one dog for as long as I can remember and have been raising my own dog(s) for 7 years now! I would love the opportunity to get to know your furry family members and help them feel comfortable when you aren't able to be with them. Help me fill my want of more pups by letting me care for your pups while you're away, busy for the day, or accompany them on a walk during the day. About: My family has had cats my entire life and we got our first dog when I was 10. When I became old enough I began volunterring at Wayside Waifs and did that for about 3 years where I would go and walk dogs of all different behaviors and backgrounds. I have 2 cats and I love them so so much. Just as most pet parents know, they are my babies and I feel that our fur babies should be given all of the love and affection that they so selflessly give us. I am a full time student but my class schedule is pretty lax this semester and I also nanny part-time. This allows me a good deal of flexibility to walk dogs as well as do check-ins and house sit when needed. I know all of the good spots for doggy adventures about town that are safe and fun because of my family’s dog, and I am very adaptable to whatever pets need thanks to my experience at Wayside Waifs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
