“Having you for an hour a day has been a godsend and let me get so much work done!!! The pups love you- god forbid anything happen to me parental rights go to you they don’t love anyone but me as much as they love you ! I kid. Or do I … 🤣”

About: I've had a dog ever since I was a child and I married into a cat-loving family so I have experience and love for both pets! I love being outdoors and active as I'm an avid runner in my free time. Walking pets outside is the best of both worlds! Midwest weather also makes chilling with them inside just as fun from time to time haha. I'm a flexible caregiver and my main goal is customer satisfaction. Reach out with any questions you may have for me before booking! I work full-time in a hybrid role from 8-5 and can take an hour lunch at any time. I'm consistently free mornings, evenings, and weekends. I'll always do my best to find a time that works for you! Respecting your home and leaving it just as good as you left it is something I pride myself in. Don't be afraid to ask me to complete any duties to clean up after your pet in addition to taking care of it.
“Alison was awesome! Great communication with me and great attentiveness to Gus. She definitely went above and beyond when she's stayed with my dog an extra 2 and 1/2 hours when she accidentally locked them out of my apartment on a -15° day. She kept him warm in her car and kept me updated until they could get in. I will definitely be utilizing her service again!”

“Griffin walked our dog Bailey while we were out of town. Bailey looked forward to it everyday!! He is kind and reliable!! We greatly appreciate him and recommend him! Thanks!”

“Rachel is the best ! She takes such good care of our puppies. She is awesome at communicating through the app and always lets us know how the visit went in detail. We love Rachel.”

About: I was raised with dogs and responsible for feeding and walking them most of my life. My childhood home had a yard for them to play in but we would walk the dogs three times a day on vacations. One of our dogs had accidents a lot so I’m adept at cleaning up. I work from home so I can be anywhere to play and care for your babies. My schedule is flexible and my work is mobile so your pets will never have to wait for play time or walks. It’s already stressful when their parent is gone so I like to keep your pets schedule the same. If they get up early, I get up early. Simply let me know your pets routine so we can keep it the same while you’re gone.
“Absolutely wonderful! Paloma let me know when they were on their way and was super sweet and kind. Even ran with Percy a few times at my request and he came back wiped- goal achieved! Will def be back again! Tysm!”

“Chris was absolutely a wonderful dog walker for our two dogs. He always came on time, and the dogs really looked forward to their walks with him. He is a great communicator so he and my husband were able to communicate through Rover and that was very helpful.”

About: My husband and I are experienced, attentive dog parents with over 13 years of hands-on pet care experience. We understand that pets are family, and we treat every dog in our home with the same love, patience, and care we give our own. We have a safe, clean home with a large backyard where dogs can run, explore, and play. We’re comfortable caring for dogs of all ages — from energetic puppies to sweet senior dogs who need a slower pace and extra gentleness. We can follow feeding schedules, administer basic medications if needed, and stick closely to your dog’s normal routine to help them feel secure. We know how important communication is, so you can expect regular updates, photos, and quick responses while you’re away. Our goal is for you to feel completely at ease knowing your fur baby is safe, loved, and well cared for. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine since we’re already devoted dog parents. My husband and I plan our schedules around our dogs’ needs, including walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and cuddle time. I’m available for boarding on weekends and most weekdays, and your pup will never feel like an afterthought — they’ll be part of our home and routine. We have a clean, safe home with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can run and play securely. We also have two friendly, well-socialized dogs who are used to sharing space respectfully. I always supervise outdoor time and introductions to ensure everyone feels comfortable. If your dog prefers their own space, I can easily crate them or provide a quiet area for rest. I carefully follow feeding instructions, medication schedules, and any special requests. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priority.
About: One of the happiest days of my life was when my parents surprised us with a dog for Christmas as a kid. I have a year of working at a dog daycare under my belt and come from a family of dog lovers (seriously we'll watch entire dog shows together and commentate it the whole time). Even though my dog has recently passed, I am very excited to help care for your dog!!! Currently my schedule is wide open for looking after dogs! Recent college graduate in graphic design, not a great market out there lol... so looking for something to do. Fenced in backyard with plenty of space to roam. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, and love walking around town. My sibling is a dog groomer and is also quite capable at caring for dogs in case I'm not around. Full of love and patience, but also able to be firm when needed.
“Amber has been the best! Used her on a weekly-basis for walks.. reliable, flexible with my changing schedule and took great care of my dog who is pretty selective with who he trusts!”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and hands-on experience I bring to every dog I care for. I raised my own dog, Ivy, through every stage of life, which taught me patience, training basics, and how to truly understand a dog’s needs. I’m comfortable with puppies who need structure and positive reinforcement, as well as senior dogs who may need slower walks, medications, or extra TLC. I treat every dog like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I naturally plan my days around walks, outdoor time, and being home. I enjoy starting mornings with fresh air and walks, staying active during the day, and winding down with relaxing time on the couch — perfect for giving pets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. Caring for animals feels like a normal part of my life, not an extra task In my home, I keep a calm, clean, and safe environment where pets can relax, play, and stick to their normal routines. They get regular walks, exercise, potty breaks, and plenty of cuddle time. In a client’s home, I follow your pet’s schedule closely so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m mindful of feeding routines, medications, training consistency, and keeping your space tidy. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, happy, and right at home while you’re away.

Cami has been so amazing to our puppy! She has walked him since we got him and has made us feel so comfortable and confident knowing he is getting taken care of. She goes above and beyond with communication, will take pictures of things requested by us, clean up any messes our pup made in our room during his time alone, and never cuts anything short. Our pup loves her so so much! We are so thankful to have her take such good care!

Jaden was absolutely lovely with our dog. Our dog can be a little reactive, so there was some worry since this was the first time leaving our dog home alone. Jaden was very communicative and very helpful, and the care was deeply appreciated. Would definitely book again

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
