About: Hi there! My name is Leslie and I would love to watch after your pet. My family has dogs for most of my life and I know how to take care of them. I can walk, play with, or even just stop in to check on your pet. I adore dogs and I welcome all breeds. Cats are no issue either! I’ve lived with a cat in the past too :) Please contact me if you would like to arrange something! I’m happy to make any accommodations that may be necessary. Can't wait to meet your furry friend! :) - Leslie I currently work full-time. I’m in office Tuesday-Thursday and work from home on Mondays and Fridays. I’m flexible with work on Mondays and Fridays to assist, but Tuesday-Thursday is a bit tougher for me. I could stop in to check on them before or after work. I’ll be sure to make it known if I am ever unavailable during a time slot you request. I will not be hosting any pets in my own home, but I can visit your pet at your house. Please let me know how you need me to care for your pet and I'll take care of him/her! :)
About: (Note: for pet sitting, I am unable to stay overnight in homes due to my own pet needing overnight care. I can come over early and stay later on sitting requests.) I’ve been around animals my entire life and can’t imagine a home without them. Currently, I live with a dog, two cats, and a snake, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of pet personalities and care needs. From energetic pups to shy reptiles, I understand that every pet is unique and deserves personalized care. I treat my animals like family and will do the same for yours. I work from home in Roeland Park as a public health professional, which gives me some flexibility. I’m available for quick check-ins or potty breaks during my lunch hour, as well as before and after my 9–5 workday. My weekends are generally wide open, so if you’re traveling or just have a packed schedule, I’m happy to provide extra attention, walks, or longer visits. I know how important it is to feel confident in the person caring for your pets and your home. I provide dependable, respectful care and do my best to keep your pets’ routines consistent and stress-free. Whether it’s administering food, meds, or giving belly rubs, I’ll make sure your pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for like they’re my own.

“Emily went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable since we are new to having a dog walker. Emily’s updates and pictures were fantastic. Cyrus loved her snuggles and pets! He was nice and tired after a 2 mile walk.”

I also volunteer at a local animal shelter, where I regularly walk dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I provide dependable, loving care so your pet will be in good hands. I work 3 days a week so I have lots of time to keep your pets happy! My schedule varies weekly and can be flexible. I follow your pet's normal routine to help them feel comfortable and happy. I'll make sure they have fresh food and water, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection

“Ron has walked our dog several times during the day. We appreciate his punctuality and ability to help on short notice. He came to meet our dog before the scheduled walk and we really appreciated it. Good communication as well.”

About: I grew up my whole life with dogs and began watching other people’s dogs when I was in high school! I have at least 4+ years of experience. I love all kinds of dogs! I work from home during the week so my schedule is pretty flexible. I’m available all throughout the day to walk the dogs and take the dogs out. I have a fenced in backyard and live in a great neighborhood for walking dogs. I live in a safe and clean home with plenty of room for a dog to roam.
“James was walking my dogs for almost 3 weeks. He was remarkably punctual . I have two large dogs and James was able to handle them both at once. He was great with my dogs and they loved him, they are still watching the door waiting for him to come and get them for a walk. I would certainly recommend James to anyone who is looking for a responsible and punctual dog walker. I will definitely use his services in future.”

About: My first dog ever was a mini yorkie. My second was a senior cocker spaniel that I named Frida. And my current dog is a daschund mix named Fergie. I love to give belly rubs and play tug of war or fetch. I’m willing to take your dog to an enclosed park, if they like it. I’m a healthy, physically able woman. I work from home. My own dog has a strict schedule (per her liking) and I can follow your schedule or offer flexibility. I have entrusted other dog sitters with my Fergie and look forward to providing the same kind of care and comfort that I’ve experienced. I can provide pictures and/or updates during my time with your pet(s).

About: -- Grew up with medium sized dogs. Our parents bred our dogs, so I am versed in the young puppy stage. -- Lived with cats, aiding with their care I love any and all furry creatures and am always down to make a new furry friend. Any questions, just ask! I currently am working part-time and have time to take care of dogs and cats alike. I have yet to meet a furry friend that I don't get along with. I adapt to each pet's home environment and/or training. Consistency and routine is important for any animal and I strive to incorporate that both in my personal and professional life.
About: I am a mother of two girls that also love animals. I live in an apartment in Mission KS. I earned my Associates in Veterinary Technology when I was 24 and my career has grown from there. If you need someone to come to your house to help medicate or treat your animals... I am your girl. If you just want your dog taken for a walk, that's great too! I have many skills with cats and dogs, as well as birds, rodents, and reptiles. If you would like to talk more with me about hosting your pet in my home, doing a drop in, or walking your dog, reach out and we will speak via text, email, phone conversation, or a meeting in a public place. I am willing to board exotics in my home as well, we can talk about fees if that is a need! I work mostly from home, only needing to go into the office periodically every few months. I can accommodate and feeding/walking schedule. Under special circumstances, I can accommodate two pets from two different households. Circumstances include if the pet parents are friends and the animals know each other, if the pets are repeat visitors and I know that they will behave well together, and if both sets of pet parents are agreeable to me hosting another pet. I will ALWAYS inform both parties and ask permission before promising same dates to either pet parent. In my own home a dog can be free roaming. My cat is declawed so there is no scratch potential. I put a baby gate in my room where my cat can hide so it all works out. I try to keep to the owners routine as much as I can with walks, treats, feeding schedule, bed sleeping, etc.
The median cost per walk for dog walking in Mission is $20
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mission
Aaron was wonderful helping out with Mav. He came over before the first walk and met Mav in a nice, relaxed way. He spent time letting Mav get to know him and I felt very comfortable with him walking Mav. He came over when he said he would and gave Mav some good exercise on his walk. Very trustworthy guy and great with dogs!

Jennifer does such a great job of taking care of my pitbull! I work long shifts and she’s able to take him for a walk and potty break when i can’t be home. I’m very grateful for the love and kindness she’s shown my pup, highly recommend her if you need help with your pooch ! I have a 90lb dog who pulls and she’s able to handle him with great care , couldn’t be happier with her services!

Cami has been so amazing to our puppy! She has walked him since we got him and has made us feel so comfortable and confident knowing he is getting taken care of. She goes above and beyond with communication, will take pictures of things requested by us, clean up any messes our pup made in our room during his time alone, and never cuts anything short. Our pup loves her so so much! We are so thankful to have her take such good care!

Emily was the absolute SWEETEST and BEST help with our girls while we’ve been out of town. She was so so understanding and good with them, our two loved her from the beginning and it was so comforting knowing she loved our dogs like her own. Could not appreciate her more!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
