About: I’m a PA at local clinic and when I’m not busy taking care of people and their health, I love spending time with my 3 “nuggets.” I trained & cared for dogs growing up, and have volunteered w/ local humane societies (usually as a dog-walker) throughout my life. As a dog parent, I understand wanting someone trustworthy and dependable to help care for your precious pets! I have lived in Mission/Roeland Park for 11 years with my partner & pups. Not currently available for booking, I will keep typing to satisfy the 25 words. I am only looking for a sitter. Dog sitter sitter sitter. “Jennifer was great! She came over once a day to feed the cat and clean the litter box. I got lots of updates and photos. It was nice to get messages from someone who enjoyed hanging out with my cat.”
About: (Note: for pet sitting, I am unable to stay overnight in homes due to my own pet needing overnight care. I can come over early and stay later on sitting requests.) I’ve been around animals my entire life and can’t imagine a home without them. Currently, I live with a dog, two cats, and a snake, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of pet personalities and care needs. From energetic pups to shy reptiles, I understand that every pet is unique and deserves personalized care. I treat my animals like family and will do the same for yours. I work from home in Roeland Park as a public health professional, which gives me some flexibility. I’m available for quick check-ins or potty breaks during my lunch hour, as well as before and after my 9–5 workday. My weekends are generally wide open, so if you’re traveling or just have a packed schedule, I’m happy to provide extra attention, walks, or longer visits. I know how important it is to feel confident in the person caring for your pets and your home. I provide dependable, respectful care and do my best to keep your pets’ routines consistent and stress-free. Whether it’s administering food, meds, or giving belly rubs, I’ll make sure your pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for like they’re my own.
“calista was great! followed our detailed feeding instructions (spoiled baby kitties), made sure to play with them and give them love! came home to two happy cats. would def book again :)”

“Brittany is very patient, detail-oriented, and caring. She provides wonderful photos and details about her visits, and has an innate knack for animals. Our six-year-old pittie loved her immediately. We will be repeat customers!”
About: I have dog sat and cared for many other dogs and animals before. I will always make sure the animals are well treated for and the house is taken care of. I am very friendly and strive to make sure every experience is friendly. I have two dogs of my own. I am excited to be able to take care of your dogs and make sure they get what they need while you are away from home. Something that sets me apart from other sitters and walkers is that I am very client forward and will work to meet your needs. I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups, I am available for walks and check ins Monday/wednesday/ thursday and house sitting Monday- Sunday! I follow all directions owners leave for me to care for their dog and home.I also help run errands while owners are away, and in warmer months I take care of indoor and outdoor plants

“Kirin is the best! She’s one of the few people our nervous little Bean trusts. She’s helped us out numerous times over the past 5 years & has always been kind to our pups & respectful of our space.”

About: One of the happiest days of my life was when my parents surprised us with a dog for Christmas as a kid. I have a year of working at a dog daycare under my belt and come from a family of dog lovers (seriously we'll watch entire dog shows together and commentate it the whole time). Even though my dog has recently passed, I am very excited to help care for your dog!!! Currently my schedule is wide open for looking after dogs! Recent college graduate in graphic design, not a great market out there lol... so looking for something to do. Fenced in backyard with plenty of space to roam. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, and love walking around town. My sibling is a dog groomer and is also quite capable at caring for dogs in case I'm not around. Full of love and patience, but also able to be firm when needed.

We are available to sit during the weekdays, weekends and some holidays! We have a fenced-in backyard with a doggie door, allowing your pup to come and go as they please. I also have a large metal crate for crate-trained dogs, but if your dog is used to roaming the house, that's fine too. Additionally, I have multiple dog beds, blankets, and toys available.
“Mackenzie made sure to keep us updated on all of the things we needed to know while she watched Stella! We got a lot of photos and could tell Stella was well taken care of!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life so I am very comfortable around animals. I currently have an Australian Shepard and Boxer, I treat them both like my kids. I hope to be able to help take care of your fur-child when you are not able to. I understand what it is like to trust someone with your dog and I only hope that I can provide you with the peace of mind of knowing your pet is being well taken care of while you are gone. I am a full time business professional that works from home- depending on your need, I can make drop-in visits to let your dog out to go potty, for a walk or to the dog park. I love all dogs, big or small. I will play fetch and take your doggo on walks and cuddle them and give them lots of TLC! Not only will your pet's receive the best care when they are with me, your home will as well. I am happy to run errands, water plants, do light laundry, tidy-up and ensure the safety and security of your home while you are away- complete peace of mind. I have two dogs of my own- We live in an apartment so I am accustomed to taking my dogs out and walking them multiple times as well as providing enrichments for them so they do not get bored. My hope is to provide that same care to your fur-child as well. When I am away, my boyfriend whom I live with will take care of our dogs so I can provide your fur-child with the 1-1 attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my top priorities while caring for them in your home. I understand that every household has its own structure and expectations, and I am committed to respecting and maintaining the rules and routines you have established for your pets. My own dogs sleep in their beds or crates and are not allowed on furniture, so I am very familiar with maintaining boundaries and structure. I will always follow the rules you have in place for your pet, whether that includes crate training, furniture rules, feeding schedules, or specific potty routines. I strongly believe that consistency helps pets feel secure, especially when their owners are away. Because of this, I make it a priority to follow your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including their sleep schedule, feeding times, exercise habits, and any training expectations you have in place.
“Chandler is fantastic looking after my two kitties! She provided great reports each day that gave me peace of mind while away from home. They loved getting to hang out with her!”

“Beth is very nice, punctual and caring. Beth did an amazing job checking on Lea (my cat) while I was out of town. She gave her medicine and then sat and played with her a bit after feeding her too. It was such a relief knowing someone was checking on her and taking care of her. I would definitely re-book with Beth!”

About: I grew up with dogs in my home and had a dog myself until recently. My wife has had a similar history, but also took care of a variety of farm animals. I started dog sitting for friends while I lived in various places on the east coast prior to starting with Rover in California in 2019. We hope to rescue another dog of our own in the near future, but until then, we will be spoiling your pup with belly rubs. We are friendly, reliable and trustworthy young-professional, who can't wait to meet your 4-legged best friend and will care for dogs of any age and size. Don't be shy to message us with any questions, as we want to make sure you are 100% comfortable before handing over the leash. My wife and I work from home full time, which allows us to spend extra quality time with the pets during the weekdays. We are typically early risers already, so morning potty breaks require no adjustment to our sleep schedules. First time clients will be required to participate in a preliminary meet & greet session. This will allow us to meet you and your pet in person. It’s a nice gesture for us humans, but it is essential for most dogs to be able to feel comfortable with a new person watching after them for the first time; your pet’s comfort and safety are our No. 1 priorities! During house sitting meet & greets, please feel free to show us parts of the home you’d want us to be aware of and advise of important routines (gardeners, pool staff etc) that you may want us to continue during your time away from home.
“Brittany did such a great job with my babies! At the meet and greet my skittish dog went right up to her and she automatically started playing fetch with my outgoing pup. The pictures and updates were great and I know my babies were well taken care of! 100% would recommend. Thanks Brittany!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mission
We have a big ol' Irish Weirdhound who is extremely picky about who she lets touch her and play with her and such. Emily was immediately her friend, which we have only rarely seen in the 6 years we've had our pup. She is easy to communicate with and on time for every drop in visit. We will definitely be asking Emily to keep an eye on our weirdo again!

Stephanie was so helpful and kind with our two dogs! This was a first time using Rover and Stephanie exceeded all needs and eased our worry. With a senior dog who needs extra care and a younger dog who has much more energy, she was able to accommodate both of our boys to keep them happy and safe!

Evey has been absolutely terrific with my little rescue. He is anxious about many things, but Evey spends quality time with him at her daily drop-in and is helping him to come out of his shell. I can tell he is enjoying her visits by how he interacts with me when I arrive back home.

Grace! You are so wonderful! Thank you so much for watching our boys! We were out of town for an extended holiday and it was so relieving seeing how much fun the boys had with Grace. We anxiously waited for photos and the report card and were never disappointed. She took amazing care of them and we can not thank her enough!

Erin has been great. Both of my dogs like her and my cat who is normally skittish has stayed out when Erin has been over. I’ve had to reach out short notice a couple of times, and she has been able to accommodate. I’m very pleased and I would highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Mission with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
