“Megan did great with checking in with my dogs. She was also very punctual even with her working another job. I did not need punctuality, but if that something you’re looking for she shows up when she says she will. Thank you for checking in with my dogs!”
“Jennifer was great! She came over once a day to feed the cat and clean the litter box. I got lots of updates and photos. It was nice to get messages from someone who enjoyed hanging out with my cat.”
“Kylee was a WONDERFUL Rover sitter! She was on time based on our agreement every day, she treated my pup like her own, and sent the best pictures! I will definitely book her again! (Once Coronavirus allows me to get back to business as usual).”
“I am so thankful on this Thanksgiving Day to have Rachel visit Oliver! She was right on time and gave me a thorough review with photos. I really appreciated that since it was our first time working together. I will absolutely call on her the next time we need care! Thank you, Rachel!”

“Griffin was awesome with my 9 month old, energetic puppy! He was reliable and prompt and sent awesome updates with pictures! Would definitely recommend!”

“Beth is very nice, punctual and caring. Beth did an amazing job checking on Lea (my cat) while I was out of town. She gave her medicine and then sat and played with her a bit after feeding her too. It was such a relief knowing someone was checking on her and taking care of her. I would definitely re-book with Beth!”

About: Hi! I'm Michelle, I've been dogsitting for friends and family since ~2016 and finally became a dog mom in 2020--it's the best! My husband, Brad, and I both love animals and are excited to join the Rover sitter community. We are comfortable with dogs of any age and any breed, and would care for your dog as if s/he were our own. We can administer medications as needed (we mostly have experience with oral and topical meds, but are willing to learn what's needed for your furry friend) and are very attentive to your dog's diet and feeding regime. We can't wait to welcome your dog into our home while you are away! Michelle works from home so your dog won't be on their own for long periods while staying at our home. We love taking our dog, Joni, on walks (& runs) everyday (we usually go several times each day) and we have a large fenced in yard for additional playtime, so your pup will get lots of outside time to burn off energy and sniff. Your dog will have full access to our home, just as our Joni does, with a variety of toys and bed options (including couches) available throughout the day. You'll get regular photo updates of your pup's adventures while you're away (unless otherwise requested). My husband and I have a large, fenced in backyard that's perfect for zoomies and playtime, and live in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Our 6 year old pup, Joni, is always looking for new friends and someone to share her toys with (she's up to date on her vaccinations and preventative meds and ask that your dog be as well). If your dog is crate trained, we'd be happy to find a space to set that up for them in our home during their stay, or they are welcome to use Joni's old crate which we can set up if needed. Additionally, feel free to bring any toys or bedding/blankets that help make your dog feel at home; we want him/her to have what they need to be comfy while you are away.
About: I have owned pets my entire life, all kinds! From dogs and cats to birds and reptiles, my house has always been full of animals we have adored. I would love to love on your pets when you are needing them cared for! I am a full time nursing student, but my classes are all online so I am home everyday and/or available to come to your home. My kids homeschool two days a week as well so your pets would have extra care and love on those days. My kids are amazing with animals too! I have a pet safe environment which includes a 6 foot fence around our back yard for dogs if they come to us. I also keep our house locked even while we are home to ensure safety.
“Alison was wonderful with our two kitties! Made us feel so much better being away, knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend her as your go-to pet sitter!”

About: I’ve owned and taken care of dogs ever since I was little! I have my own dog, Sampson, who I trained from a little pup to now. I worked in a local pet store in Lincoln, NE for 2 years that specialized in cat/dog health! I am a pediatric registered nurse, but I am generally pretty open on my days off! I’m not available for in-home boarding or pet sitting, but happy to do check-ins and walks. I am experienced with all types of dogs- elderly, puppies, reactive, or just wild! I have basic training skills and can easily crate your pup, if necessary. Love is my philosophy!
“Faith spent time with our two kittens during our daughter's backyard wedding reception, to keep them occupied and calm. Everything seemed to go well, and the kittens seemed content and happy the following day. I would highly recommend her!”

“Wonderful job caring for our 2 cats and 1 dog. Two had medication, one very shy cat. She made friends with all 3 in a very short period of time. Thank you 🐈🐕”

“This was our first time using Kayah, and we'll definitely use her again. She took great care of our girl while we were away, and gave us constant updates. Best of all, she made her the cutest bandana! Thanks Kayah - you're the best!”

“Devine provided the pet care we had discussed prior to her drop-in visits. When I needed to modify my time, due to daylight savings time changed, she took care of that efficiently. I highly recommend Devine for any pet care you need!”

About: We have 2 dogs that enjoy making new friends! We have a fully fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run and play. Our dogs are very social and get along with others quickly. Memphis has been certified as a therapy dog in which we utilized positive reinforcement training techniques. Mollee and Memphis are always happy to host a play date! Our work schedules vary from week to week, but we will have both weekday and weekend availability. We let the dogs come in and out as they please (weather permitting). Our dogs get plenty of exercise throughout the week and we also routinely work on training techniques. Our backyard is fully fenced in, we have lots of toys to play with and surveillance cameras for added safety measures. Pets are allowed on furniture in our house and we also have plenty of dog beds for napping! Special accommodations can be provided upon request.
“Michael is wonderful! Our cat has to be pilled manually every day and is very attention hungry. Michael spent quality time with her and pilled her daily while we were out of town. He also took lots of pictures.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and can’t imagine a home without them. Growing up with dogs taught me not only how to care for them, but also how to understand their unique personalities, needs, and routines. For the past 13 years, I’ve provided trusted pet and house sitting services for families, caring for pets as if they were my own. I have experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, and I understand how important it is to maintain their routine, provide plenty of exercise and attention, and create a safe, comfortable environment while you’re away. I pride myself on being reliable, responsible, and communicative. Whether your pet needs long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply a familiar and caring presence, I’m committed to making sure they feel happy, loved, and well cared for. My goal is to give pet parents peace of mind knowing their furry family members are in good hands. As a full-time artist, I have a flexible schedule and don’t work a traditional 9-to-5 job, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, whether that means drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, walks, administering medications, or simply providing companionship and comfort. Because I work independently, I can be flexible with scheduling and am often available throughout the day for check-ins and updates. I understand how important consistency is for pets, and I make it a priority to maintain their routines so they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet as if they were my own, and I always prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine. In a client’s home, I make sure to follow all instructions closely so pets can stay in a familiar environment with minimal disruption. This includes feeding schedules, walks or litter box care, playtime, medication if needed, and any specific routines or preferences your pet is used to. I also focus on giving pets plenty of attention and companionship so they feel calm and secure while their owner is away. I’m very mindful of keeping the home clean and respecting the space, and I always provide updates so you know how your pet is doing. Whether it’s dogs or cats, my goal is to create a stress-free experience where your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for until you return.

Allison was great, she was easy to get a hold of and was always on time. Allison was great with both my dog and cat and the pets really liked her. She even went the extra mile and changed her schedule so it would work better for us. I would recommend her and look forward to working with her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Leawood with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
