“Jennifer was great! She came over once a day to feed the cat and clean the litter box. I got lots of updates and photos. It was nice to get messages from someone who enjoyed hanging out with my cat.”
“My cats loved Hanna. She was extremely attentive when she did her initial visit, listening to all my directions and/or concerns about while I was out. My cats did act up a bit while I was away and Hanna took it in stride cleaning up after them and letting me know immediately. I am thankful for that and her willingness to do extra pop-ins to check that the incidents didn't continue to occur. I will definitely request Hanna again as a sitter.”

“This is our first time using Rover and we’re so happy we’ve found Faith to take care of our puppy! She did 1 one hour drop in for us, and sent us a few pictures and a video of Peanut. We will definitely use her services again and highly recommend Faith to anyone looking for a loving and attentive pet sitter.”

“Katy is wonderful with our senior cat, Fredo, who has special medical needs and likes a lot of attention. We always come home to a happy and content cat, so we know that Katy has taken great care of him while we were gone! We highly recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter in the KC area.”

About: We have 2 dogs that enjoy making new friends! We have a fully fenced in backyard with plenty of room to run and play. Our dogs are very social and get along with others quickly. Memphis has been certified as a therapy dog in which we utilized positive reinforcement training techniques. Mollee and Memphis are always happy to host a play date! Our work schedules vary from week to week, but we will have both weekday and weekend availability. We let the dogs come in and out as they please (weather permitting). Our dogs get plenty of exercise throughout the week and we also routinely work on training techniques. Our backyard is fully fenced in, we have lots of toys to play with and surveillance cameras for added safety measures. Pets are allowed on furniture in our house and we also have plenty of dog beds for napping! Special accommodations can be provided upon request.
“Devin took great care of our Hunter. Her pics let me know Hunter was doing well and her status reports to us helped me understand what happened at each visit. I will definitely use Devin again when we need someone to check in on our pets.”
“I would book again! Reagan stayed the full 30 minutes during the drop-in visits and my shy cat eventually came out of hiding for playtime and cuddles during her visits.”

“Lauren was absolutely incredible and a huge help to us while we were on our vacation. She is very responsive and our dogs enjoy having her around. I will always use Lauren to help us with our babies.”

“Highly recommend! We got great communication and felt like our dog was very well taken care of, which is all a pet owner wants when they are out of town!”

About: I've grown up with dogs my whole life and had a mini dachshund for 15 years. Over the last decade I've been called on numerous times to watch and board dogs for friends, family and neighbors. I am a single dad who has custody of my kids 50/50 so when I don't have them I could give a dog my full attention and be its buddy! On weekends we could hit a trail or go for a long walk at a park. Monday through Friday I usually leave for work around 6:45 or 7, and will return home around 4 pm. And in the evening we'll hang out and have fun! I live within walking distances to a few parks for walks. The Trolley Trail is nearby too if your pet likes a bit of a longer walk.
About: Hi there! I’m Payton, a lifelong dog lover based in the Waldo neighborhood of Kansas City, MO. My love for animals started early, I grew up with a family dog and spent much of my teen years (and even a year in college) volunteering at the local humane society. That experience really shaped my passion for caring for animals, and it’s also where I found my soulmate pup, a 2 year old, 90 lb Anatolian Shepard who is incredibly friendly and loves making new friends! I have become the go-to “fun aunt” for my friends’ and previous roommates’ dogs (and cats) and often care for them when they’re busy or out of town. I live in a home with a fenced in backyard and a big park just down the street. If you’re looking for boarding, i’m happy to set up a meet and greet to make sure your dog and my Boog are a great match. I also offer house sitting and will always treat your home and pets with the same respect I give my own. I currently work in office from 7am-4pm though I am available most weeknights and weekends with notice. Whether you need boarding, house sitting, drop ins, or walks, I your pup(s) will be in loving and reliable hands! “Lily did a fabulous job caring for our 2 senior cats for 2 weeks. She made clear efforts to befriend them, and her communications and updates were great. She has made leaving our babies alone far less stressful. We will happily book her again.”

About: What sets me apart is how attentive and caring I am with every dog I watch. I’ve been pet sitting for about 5 years for family, friends, and the nanny families I’ve worked with, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and routines. I have experience with walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and making sure pets feel safe, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. I’m very patient, dependable, and pay close attention to a dog’s behavior and needs. I also know how important communication is, so I always keep owners updated with messages and photos. I treat every dog like family and make sure they get plenty of love and attention. As a recent college graduate, I currently have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week for pet care. Aside from occasional job interviews or appointments, I’m available for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and overnight care on both weekdays and weekends. With my open schedule, I’m able to be very attentive and make sure pets get consistent care, plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while their owners are away. I care for every pet like they’re my own and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. In a client’s home, I do my best to stick closely to the pet’s normal routine with feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any specific instructions the owner provides. I also make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and supervision throughout the day. I’m very attentive to a dog’s behavior and comfort level, and I always prioritize creating a calm, safe environment. I also know how important trust and communication are, so I keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pet is being well cared for.
About: I have had had dogs my whole life and I have all rescues plus a rescue cat. If there is an animal in need, I am there! I work out of my home so I am in and out with appts so your pet isn't alone for long periods of time. I can walk them as well if they need daily walking. I have a big fenced yard with a doggie door to the garage so your fur baby can go in or out. I also have 2 xtra large metal pet cages if you prefer. I usually like to be home when they are all out and playing to observe and will crate the first day (or everyday if you prefer) if I have to leave for any reason to make sure everyone gets along. My dogs love love each other and love playing with other dogs or just hanging out!
About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and hands-on experience I bring to every dog I care for. I raised my own dog, Ivy, through every stage of life, which taught me patience, training basics, and how to truly understand a dog’s needs. I’m comfortable with puppies who need structure and positive reinforcement, as well as senior dogs who may need slower walks, medications, or extra TLC. I treat every dog like family and make sure they feel safe, loved, and right at home. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I naturally plan my days around walks, outdoor time, and being home. I enjoy starting mornings with fresh air and walks, staying active during the day, and winding down with relaxing time on the couch — perfect for giving pets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship. Caring for animals feels like a normal part of my life, not an extra task In my home, I keep a calm, clean, and safe environment where pets can relax, play, and stick to their normal routines. They get regular walks, exercise, potty breaks, and plenty of cuddle time. In a client’s home, I follow your pet’s schedule closely so they feel comfortable and secure. I’m mindful of feeding routines, medications, training consistency, and keeping your space tidy. My goal is always to make your pet feel safe, happy, and right at home while you’re away.
“This was our first booking with August and it went very well! Thorough updates after every visit to include making sure to locate them in their various hiding spots for pictures of our two elusive orange bois. August made sure to spend passive time with them in the house to make them feel more comfortable as well considering they weren’t inclined to play. Our trip went so much better knowing they were well taken care of.”

Leawood dog parents share their Rover experiences
Stephanie was so helpful and kind with our two dogs! This was a first time using Rover and Stephanie exceeded all needs and eased our worry. With a senior dog who needs extra care and a younger dog who has much more energy, she was able to accommodate both of our boys to keep them happy and safe!

Emily was very responsive in the process leading up to her time caring for our dogs. She took great care of them and provided a timely update on how they were doing including pictures of their happy faces! We will definitely be using her services again in the future!
