“We had a very last minute need for someone to help with our dogs. Carly responded to me within minutes! This was our first time using Rover and we will definitely book with Carly again!”

About: I recently left an executive position with an animal welfare nonprofit/veterinary clinic. In my newly acquired free time, I'd love to help you with your pet(s)! I have handling experience and am comfortable with both dogs and cats. If you have a nervous animal, I'm happy to try to ease in to being their new friend. I also have experience administering medication to pets. Until I decide to seek another full-time position, I'm available most days and some evenings. I would be open to regularly scheduled walks or drops ins for the next several weeks. Our family has 2 cats and 3 dogs and we love them all dearly. I've also fostered for KC Paws as well as my former organization.
“Kylie was wonderful with our pups! She did everything we asked and was punctual, sweet and professional. We will absolutely be returning clients!”

“Katie was amazing! She took great care of my pup and sent me picture updates along the way! She was very responsive as well which I appreciate! I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the area!!”

About: I’ve grown up in a home with three dogs, so caring for pets has always been part of my daily life. I have experience dog sitting overnight as well as stopping by for walks, potty breaks, feeding, and playtime. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I genuinely love spending time with them. I’m very dependable, attentive, and will treat your pets like my own while you’re away. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to make time for walks, feedings, check-ins, and overnight stays. I’m very reliable and can adjust my availability to meet each pet owner’s needs. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for in both my home and my client’s home. I follow all instructions closely, keep a clean and secure environment, and give pets lots of attention, love, and supervision to make them feel at ease.

“This is the first weekend that Danielle is checking in on my pups and I couldn’t be happier! She is kind and you can tell she really enjoys taking care of animals. I am really thankful for her help while I’m working and my spouse is deployed. She even got my super timid rescue pup to come close enough to get some hand kisses on her first day, so that’s a win in my book!”

“Rachel dropped in on our two doggos, Jack & Hazel, over a long weekend while we were out of town. They instantly clicked with her and felt comfy being themselves with Rachel. We will definitely be booking with her going forward for future travels!”

“We have and will continue to use Aubrey as long as she’s available. She takes such great care of our Maverick while we’re away. She communicates often and is easy/fantastic to work with! Thank you!!”

About: I grew up on a working farm with working dogs and have had dogs my entire life. I currently love and manage a pack of 4 dogs in my home. 1 Great Pyrenees, 1 Pyrador, and 2 Komonees pups. They are my world! These are BIG girls. 60-90 pounds. They’re surprisingly agile so small dogs are ok! 100+ pound dogs are welcome. And every dog in between! We love dogs of all shapes and sizes and have hosted pups from 12-130 pounds. I’m experienced triaging in an emergency vet clinic, and can perform basic first aid, medication administration, post-op care, and more! In the past, I co-owned my own reptile and exotic LLC for 5 years, KC Cresties (dissolved due to divorce). So I’m comfortable and experienced caring for your scaly friends, sugar gliders, chinchillas, ferrets, prairie dogs, opossums, or whatever other cool friend(s) you have. Large snakes, monitors, and Iguanas are ok! My family successfully rehabbed 2 baby raccoons that lost their mom and returned them to the wild when it was time. The day they left and never came home was filled with joy and sadness that we were very fortunate to be a part of. We have 2 cats in the house who are friendly with both other cats and dogs. I keep a sturdy metal baby gate up for their space away from the dogs so they have a sanctuary. There’s very few animals I don’t have experience with, and I love them all. Big dogs and working dogs are no problem. Trouble with leash pulling? No problem. Got a hyper jumper? It’s ok, I’ve got a solid foundation. Puppies? No sweat, I have old laminate flooring and we walk every 2-3 hours. Lastly, you can count me as a former HR professional surrounding school aged children based organizations. I left HR to pursue a career with animals and am currently going doing online classes to earn my vet tech degree. Animals have always been my passion. With me only working part time in the vet clinic and opposite shifts as my husband, it ensures your pup will always have someone home with them. I’ll treat your pets with the same love and respect I treat my own. Pets are a big part of our lives and they are our family. Feeding time is approximately 8am and 6pm (unless otherwise requested). We add scrambled eggs to our morning feeding and homemade dog food to our dinner. Homemade food is AAFCO approved recipes. Every dog has their own food dish and 3 giant water bowls are available from 6am to 8pm. Water is picked up overnight for housebreaking purposes. Treat circles are 2-3 times per day. We work on basics. Sit, lay, paw, etc. Level 2 commands are practiced once per day for those who have mastered level 1. I love a good game of catch the treat! After commands, I always toss a few rounds of treats. I have a well stocked variety of treats, so your pups dietary preferences can be honored. Each dog is walked separately. Belle alerts us when it’s walk time. Every 2-3 hours. Weather permitting, our dogs like to sit and wait on the porch for their turn to walk. It’s a gated 10x20. Please let me know if your dog is an escape artist or a jumper so that I can take proper safety precautions. If your pup does decides they need an additional potty break, that’s no problem either. Our dogs are all current on vaccinations and take heart-worm and flea preventive through our vet’s office. Records can be provided upon request. Cat sitting can be provided on the other half of the house divided by a sturdy metal baby gate. Cats will be provided with toys and separate meal dishes according to your feeding instructions. Litter will be changed daily. Small animals and Exotic care: for most exotics leaving the home is very stressful and recommended care is in your home. However there are exceptions to this rule. We can discuss your unique needs and what is most appropriate for your pets health and well being. Some animals in small habitats don’t mind staying somewhere new as long as they’re safe in their world. Transportable habitats are welcome.
“Rachel did an excellent job of taking care of our two cats. One is shy and she got him to come out for a bit and he needed meds which she gave him. She did a great job of keeping us posted on their well being while we were gone!”

“Katie did a fantastic job taking care of our perfect handsome Walter. We asked him how it went and he said I like Katie a lot mom. She was very nice to me and she took great care of me. You would approve mom!!”

“Megan was wonderful with my 3 cats while we were out of town. I was worried the cats wouldn't warm up having a stranger show up to feed them, but Megan was patient and won them over. As a Rover sitter myself I appreciate the effort it takes to make that happen. I will be recommending Megan to anyone that contacts me to sit that I'm not able to do myself!”

About: I have helped close friends and family members with sitting there dogs and keeping them while they were away on vacations, trips or just when they need a break. I’m have flexible availability on Mondays day or night, evenings after 6pm or weekends after 1pm. I work for myself so I’m open to moving my schedule to suite my clients. In a clients home i would plan to spend time keeping your pet entertained and happy. Aside from entertaining your dog, making sure they are let out side promptly, feeding them on a times schedule as well.
“Alexandra is wonderful!! She’s the perfect person to take care of my pup, from snuggles to playing to knowing dog first aid and how to handle reactive dogs like mine. Thank you so so much Alexandra! We will def be using you again. Phoebe loves you ?✨”
About: Between caring for my own dogs- large, small, young, old, being a dog grooming apprentice, and boarding pups in my own home, I've had all sort of experience with pups- cats too, as well as a few other strange fur kids such as goats and chickens! Animals just make more sense to me! I work a part time 10-2 generally at the book store, but outside of that, I love to fit in a walk or two after work or many on the weekends. I prefer to walk during the daytime or at the latest dusk, but don't go out at night time unfortunately. That's time spent at home! Getting down on a knee for first meet and letting the pup come to me is the first step to establishing trust. Type of care depends on the service, but for a general drop in, it's always good to make sure they feel comfortable with me in their space before I begin moving around it. Getting them their food, making sure their water is clean and fresh, and then making sure they pee + poop and get out their zoomies so they feel refreshed is the only way I wanna leave em! Don't want to end a visit with a pup who still has pent up energy.
About: I own 4 dogs, 2 different breed types. I also own hedgehogs and Guinea Pigs. I take good care of my animals and give them lots of love and attention. Have trained several puppies including obedience training and potty training. I am a teacher with my entire summer off, so I have time to spare and the space to accommodate other pets to care for. I have a fenced yard. We have 3 dogs we crate at night that have been potty trained and 1 that sleeps in our dining room at night which is gated off from the rest of the house in case they have potty accidents. We get up several times a night to take our dogs out to potty.
Grandview dog parents share their Rover experiences
Maddie was great! She came over for drop in visits while we were out of town for the night. She came over to meet our dogs before hand and see their routine and took notes to get to know our 3 dogs. Her communication was great and sent several pictures every time she was there. 10/10 recommend and would rebook with her!
