About: I have dog sat and cared for many other dogs and animals before. I will always make sure the animals are well treated for and the house is taken care of. I am very friendly and strive to make sure every experience is friendly. I have two dogs of my own. I am excited to be able to take care of your dogs and make sure they get what they need while you are away from home. Something that sets me apart from other sitters and walkers is that I am very client forward and will work to meet your needs. I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pups, I am available for walks and check ins Monday/wednesday/ thursday and house sitting Monday- Sunday! I follow all directions owners leave for me to care for their dog and home.I also help run errands while owners are away, and in warmer months I take care of indoor and outdoor plants
“This was our first time using Rover and Kristin was fantastic with our two Frenchies! From the start, she was very fast to respond and I loved her experience. She came by for a meet and greet so our little rescue who can be nervous around new people would be comfortable. I got an update and pictures after each drop in so even while I was traveling, I had peace of mind they were okay. Highly recommend Kristin!”

“Chris was amazing and I was so happy my Katie girl did so great considering it was my first time using Rover! Chris made me feel so comfortable and sent the cutest photos of Katie and her bestie cats. I’m so pleased and can’t wait to have Chris again when I am needing help!”

“We had to go out of town last minute for a funeral and my pets loved Ava last time so I was hoping she would be available. We got lucky! She spent some quality time with them on what would otherwise be an extremely long day and I was so appreciative!”

“Fantastic kitten drop ins. 8 days. Cats seemed to warm up to her quickly. Great communication- pre-sitting visit to meet the cats was very helpful. No problems.”

“Valerie was great with our cats, they are typically a little scared of new people, but she did a great job with them during the meet and greet. They were well cared for while we were gone and would hire her again!”

“Jill always does a fantastic job of taking care of our sweet cats. She posts lots of pictures and gives us important updates on what’s been going on with them. Definitely will be hiring Jill again!”

“The pics are great-- very reassuring that they are doing fine while I'm away, especially since I haven't been away from them in a long time and considering that one is 15, deaf and eye problems. Thank you!”

About: I’m a PA at local clinic and when I’m not busy taking care of people and their health, I love spending time with my 3 “nuggets.” I trained & cared for dogs growing up, and have volunteered w/ local humane societies (usually as a dog-walker) throughout my life. As a dog parent, I understand wanting someone trustworthy and dependable to help care for your precious pets! I have lived in Mission/Roeland Park for 11 years with my partner & pups. Not currently available for booking, I will keep typing to satisfy the 25 words. I am only looking for a sitter. Dog sitter sitter sitter. Not currently available to watch pets, typing in here to satisfy the twenty five words, I am only looking for a sitter for my dogs.

“Lori did several drop ins on my sweet Kitty and although I haven’t made it back home yet, I can tell that my kitty loved her from all of the pics that were sent. Lori was also nice enough to bring my many packages in for me and brought our mail in. I know that we will be using her in the future for house sitting!! Feel so lucky to have found her. You can tell she is loved by the pets she watches.”

“Maggie did an amazing job. We can tell the dogs are happy and have been well taken care of while we were gone. We will definitely use her in the future and would recommend her to anyone in the area looking for a great dog sitter.”

About: I grew up with dogs in my home and had a dog myself until recently. My wife has had a similar history, but also took care of a variety of farm animals. I started dog sitting for friends while I lived in various places on the east coast prior to starting with Rover in California in 2019. We hope to rescue another dog of our own in the near future, but until then, we will be spoiling your pup with belly rubs. We are friendly, reliable and trustworthy young-professional, who can't wait to meet your 4-legged best friend and will care for dogs of any age and size. Don't be shy to message us with any questions, as we want to make sure you are 100% comfortable before handing over the leash. My wife and I work from home full time, which allows us to spend extra quality time with the pets during the weekdays. We are typically early risers already, so morning potty breaks require no adjustment to our sleep schedules. First time clients will be required to participate in a preliminary meet & greet session. This will allow us to meet you and your pet in person. It’s a nice gesture for us humans, but it is essential for most dogs to be able to feel comfortable with a new person watching after them for the first time; your pet’s comfort and safety are our No. 1 priorities! During house sitting meet & greets, please feel free to show us parts of the home you’d want us to be aware of and advise of important routines (gardeners, pool staff etc) that you may want us to continue during your time away from home.
“Andra communicated well and followed our requests to a T. She kept us updated and I appreciated the pictures. Pretty straightforward and uneventful, which is what you want with a petsitter! I will definitely try to book with her again for our next trip.”

About: I have grown up with and around dogs my entire life, so taking care of furry friends is second nature to me! If you are in search of a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker who can provide your furry friend with some exercise and stimulation please don't hesitate to book or message me! Our fun-filled adventures will be accompanied by regular pictures and videos to keep you updated and in the loop of our extravaganzas! I do work in the hospitality industry, so my schedule doesn’t allow me to be super flexible, but I will always find the time, and am willing to work around my schedule for you! I do live with a roommate, who has a cat so it would be best if dog-sitting is at the client's home. Like stated before I have grown up with dogs, and worked in volunteer facilities, so it’s second nature to care for furry friends and I will love and care for your pup as if they were my own!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mission Hills
This was our first time using Rover and we’re so lucky to have found Stephanie. She went above and beyond in every way. You can tell by her actions that she truly loves animals and watches over them as if they were her own. She gave our family such a gift taking care of our pets in the way that she did- as we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that they were being cared for in the best possible way. I can’t recommend Stephanie enough.

Sarah was absolutely wonderful with our 10-month-old dog, Carl! He had to wear a cone during his stay, and she took the best care of him. She was incredibly responsive, kept us updated, and made us feel so comfortable the entire time. We also really appreciated that she took the time to meet us before the actual visit—it gave us so much confidence leaving Carl in her care. She truly gave us peace of mind, and we couldn't recommend her more highly!

Vanessa has a way of putting animals at ease that is so impressive! She is a very thoughtful caretaker who asks great questions and shares fun things she notices about our boys. As a reactive dog mom, I felt comfortable leaving our dog in her care and she went above and beyond to show them extra care and communicated well with us!

Erika has been amazing with Tonka! She’s reliable, caring, and I can tell she genuinely enjoys spending time with him. Tonka absolutely loves her and is always happy to see her. It gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in great hands. Highly recommend Erika to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pup!

Chris was amazing and I was so happy my Katie girl did so great considering it was my first time using Rover! Chris made me feel so comfortable and sent the cutest photos of Katie and her bestie cats. I’m so pleased and can’t wait to have Chris again when I am needing help!

Evey has been absolutely terrific with my little rescue. He is anxious about many things, but Evey spends quality time with him at her daily drop-in and is helping him to come out of his shell. I can tell he is enjoying her visits by how he interacts with me when I arrive back home.

Grace! You are so wonderful! Thank you so much for watching our boys! We were out of town for an extended holiday and it was so relieving seeing how much fun the boys had with Grace. We anxiously waited for photos and the report card and were never disappointed. She took amazing care of them and we can not thank her enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Mission Hills with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
