“What a fantastic experience! Marissa looked over my two cats during our extended honeymoon stay. Marissa was so easy to work with and allowed us to add four additional days onto our honeymoon thanks to her flexibility and professionalism. I truly cannot give a high enough rating for the experience and piece of mind she provided.”

“We had Vanessa watch our two young cats over Thanksgiving week. Vanessa was great with them and with us - attentive to their needs and very responsive to us. Our favorite was the pictures she shared in the after-visit reports, and our cats’ favorite was seeing their new buddy. Vanessa was very respectful, professional, and kind. Would definitely ask Vanessa to come back in the future!”

“Griffin was awesome with my 9 month old, energetic puppy! He was reliable and prompt and sent awesome updates with pictures! Would definitely recommend!”

“Chandler is so amazing with our girls. Kacy loves her. We are so grateful for the time she takes with them. She takes the best pictures!! We have used Chandler’s services before and will in the future if she is available. Thank you so much Chandler!”

“Arabella was super responsive and communicative while checking on my kitties. She sent lots of videos and pictures that helped ease my traveling anxiety and let me know they were in good hands. Would absolutely recommend her services to anyone looking for a great sitter!”

About: I’ve been taking care of all kinds of dogs since I was about 15 years old. I’m an Eagle Scout and my project for becoming Eagle was with Great Plains SPCA. I have a pretty flexible schedule, so feel free to reach out! I’m currently working and going to school part time so I have plenty of free time to spend with your furry friends, big or small. “Lori has looked after our boys (chihuahua and german shepherd mix) for many, many years. We always come home to happy relaxed fur babies. It is always such a comfort to know they are in her care, as I use to dread leaving them behind, I feel totally confident when Lori is with them!”

“Amber did a great job taking care of our elderly cat. She sent us daily pictures which gave us such peace of mind to see she was doing well with a new caregiver. Our kitty has special medical needs which Amber handled expertly by giving shots and coming the same time everyday. We would definitely have Amber take care of our kitty again and recommend her highly.”

“Kayla was amazing with our pups! She was great at communicating with us and sending us plenty of pictures and videos. Our dogs are not used to being around anyone new but she was so patient with them. Will definitely book with her again!”

“Joann was amazing with our dog, Willie. She took great care of him, sent fun photos/videos, and shared good written notes on how things were going. We are so grateful and will definitely be return customers!”

“We can’t say enough great things about Samantha! She was so flexible with our work schedules and absolutely so sweet with our 2 fur babies. I think they miss her! Such a comforting thought, knowing that they were taken care of. Can’t wait to book again!”

About: Hi, my name is Kathleen, and I am an experienced pet care handler. I have cared for dogs and cats of all various sizes and behaviors. A few examples of dogs I've worked with are corgis, pitbulls, and great pyrenees. I can handle most breeds and have worked with shy dogs, protective dogs, and highly energetic dogs. For the last 3 years, I have also volunteered as a dog walker for an animal shelter. I feel comfortable around most types of dogs and cats, and I would love to give them the best care possible while you’re away! I currently have 2 cats of my own while living in KC for Grad school. I am mature, energetic, reliable, dependable, and, most importantly, sensitive to the unique needs of our furry babies. I'm currently in grad school and looking to fit this into my schedule. I'm available most mornings, 6 am to 8 am, and in the afternoon, after 4:30 pm for dog walking. I do have lunch breaks where I can do a drop-in and check on your furry baby. I am available weekends for walking, drop-in, or house sitting. I want to assure animals in my care will feel comfortable, loved, and safe. During visits and/or walks, I will always have my attention focused on your pet and will immediately remove them from any dangerous situation right away. I want them to be happy going on walks and getting to spend time out in nature.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mission Hills
Abby was great! She was responsive, on time and went above and beyond in taking care of our Aussie! She was thoughtful and detailed with her drop-ins notes with a few photos each time! We definitely will be checking if she is available next time we need care for our pup!

Jennifer is absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend! I am new to Rover and she was very understanding and accommodating. She kept me updated with details about every visit and the cutest pictures. I can’t say enough great things about Jennifer’s loving care…and my dog Gracie wholeheartedly agrees!

Stephanie was amazing at watching my 3 babies. Always punctual and made enjoying my vacation that much more exciting because i knew they were in good hands. She always has something positive to say when leaving the rover card after each visit. Will most definitely remember for future bookings!! Couldn't be more pleased 😊

Lizzy was awesome! Gave us such peace of mind by popping in to feed and walk our lab. And she was very communicative, knowledgeable and kind! I also asked my pup what he thought and he said 10/10 would recommend for good pats and cuddles! Looking forward to booking with her again :)

Amber came to our home for the first time to sit with our new (to us) dog Rigsby. Amber not only arrived on time she followed our guidelines to a tee. Rigsby took to her immediately which allowed me to get to my appointment on time. I would highly recommend this young lady to help you with your dog needs.

Sarah was absolutely wonderful with our 10-month-old dog, Carl! He had to wear a cone during his stay, and she took the best care of him. She was incredibly responsive, kept us updated, and made us feel so comfortable the entire time. We also really appreciated that she took the time to meet us before the actual visit—it gave us so much confidence leaving Carl in her care. She truly gave us peace of mind, and we couldn't recommend her more highly!

Vanessa has a way of putting animals at ease that is so impressive! She is a very thoughtful caretaker who asks great questions and shares fun things she notices about our boys. As a reactive dog mom, I felt comfortable leaving our dog in her care and she went above and beyond to show them extra care and communicated well with us!

Erika has been amazing with Tonka! She’s reliable, caring, and I can tell she genuinely enjoys spending time with him. Tonka absolutely loves her and is always happy to see her. It gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in great hands. Highly recommend Erika to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pup!

Chris was amazing and I was so happy my Katie girl did so great considering it was my first time using Rover! Chris made me feel so comfortable and sent the cutest photos of Katie and her bestie cats. I’m so pleased and can’t wait to have Chris again when I am needing help!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Mission Hills with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
