About: Hello! My name is Kate. I have owned dogs from shizus to pit bulls and loved them all. I believe all dogs need the most care and affection while also having a space to run free and play, which is why I currently do not own a dog due to living in an apartment. Sadly, not having a dog, has left me with a void that needs to be filled by longs walks and many belly rubs. I care for my family and friends’ dogs when they are away. I enjoy walks with dogs and playing fetch. I am free on weekends and at night. During the summer, I will be home full-time as well. I also have two cats of my own that I've raised since they were kittens. As of right now, I am off work all summer and go back on August 9 as a teacher. This means I will be available anytime after 4:00 pm during the week and am free all weekend. When housing another animal, I always separate them when leaving the house. I believe in meet and greets with the pet and owner to ensure that the pet trusts me and the owner feels safe with leaving their animal with me. If you have a strict diet or routine for your animal, know that it will be followed to a tee. I know how easily an animal can get off its routine, so I hold it in high regard.
“Regan was great! Traveling for work is taxing on both owner and pet but I felt that my pup was in great hands. All her needs were met and more.”

“Hallie visited Charly exactly when she said she would. I received emails and photos of Charly's food bowls so my mind was at easy. No photos of the puss because Charly is very shy around people she doesn't know, so that was not unexpected. I am very happy how this experience turned out.”

About: I've had a dog of my own all my life who recently passed, and I've had a bearded dragon, fish, and other animals as well! I've been working with pets for a while now (walking/sitting pretty much everyday) in college and it's one of my favorite jobs I've ever had. I am just starting out on Rover, but I have a High Demand profile on Wag!, with 15+ five star reviews and 13 badges earned through customer satisfaction. I tend to be pretty chill and amicable for new pets, and I work well with seniors and youngsters alike. I just really enjoy meeting new animals and getting to hang out/run around! I'd love to answer any questions you may have for me, I'd even be happy to set up a call to chat face to face if it would make you feel more comfortable! I am on summer break from college right now, so I can make myself available for whatever time you need assistance! I am particularly available for long daytime hours and overnights for those who need a housesitter! I am great at de-stressing pets and am very flexible when working with new challenges. I also am completely able to keep up with pets that like to play and get out and about! I can even bring my own treats if you want!
“Rachel was great with Bella! She sent great pics of her while she was doing a drop in visit and taking her for a walk. Looking forward to Rachel taking care of Bella in the future.”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and currently have two of my own, so caring for dogs isn’t something I “fit in”—it’s already built into my daily routine. My schedule is structured around their needs, including multiple long walks each day, consistent feeding times, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Because I live this every day, I understand how important routine, exercise, and a calm environment are for dogs. I’m especially attentive to energy levels, behavior changes, and making sure each dog gets the right balance of activity and rest. What sets me apart is the level of consistency and care I provide—your dog won’t just be watched, they’ll be integrated into a structured, active, and attentive environment. Whether it’s walks or boarding, I treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel comfortable, exercised, and well cared for. I work full-time with a mix of work-from-home and in-office days. On days I’m home, your dog will have consistent attention and regular breaks throughout the day. When I’m in the office, I come home over lunch to let dogs out and check in. I primarily offer boarding on weekends but am open to weeknight stays as well, depending on your dog’s needs. Your dog will be cared for like part of the family while staying in my home. I have two playful, friendly dogs who enjoy making new friends and can help keep your pup entertained and socialized. I focus on maintaining routines, providing regular walks and potty breaks, and making sure every dog gets the attention, exercise, and comfort they need to feel at home.
“Gabriella is absolutely awesome. With every stay or drop in visit she sends pics and lets us know if how our fur kids are doing. One of ours has a seizure disorder and Gabriella keeps us informed on her state. Great sitter! Very communicative!!”

“Jessica is very knowledgeable and helpful with helping pets to take in corrective behavior. Our pet has some stress when separated from us and she was great with his stress and gave us some wonderful pointers to help in the future. I would definitely book with her again. 😊”

“Kate was a pleasure to work with! She was easy to contact, extremely responsive, and sent multiple pictures during each visit. Our cat Daisy was well taken care of and looked to enjoy her time with her new friend. Would definitely recommend Kate's services!”

About: I’ve spent 7+ years caring for pets of all kinds, taking the time to learn each one’s routine, quirks, and comfort level so they feel safe and relaxed while you’re away. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to help with puppies, seniors, and pets who need a little extra care. I work a full-time job from 10–5 on weekdays, so I schedule pet care around my work hours. I’m available early mornings, evenings, and weekends for walks, playtime, or visits. When I’m with pets, I give them my full attention and make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well-cared-for, even with my regular work schedule. I provide attentive, patient care whether I’m at your home or mine. In your home, I follow your pet’s routine closely—feeding, playtime, walks, litter box care, and any special instructions—to keep them comfortable and stress-free. If pets are in my home, I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and part of the family, giving plenty of attention, cuddles, and play. I always prioritize their happiness, health, and comfort.
“Stephanie was so helpful and kind with our two dogs! This was a first time using Rover and Stephanie exceeded all needs and eased our worry. With a senior dog who needs extra care and a younger dog who has much more energy, she was able to accommodate both of our boys to keep them happy and safe!”

“Ron is great and SO reliable. I never wonder for even a moment whether he’ll show up as scheduled or care for our dogs as we request. I can see in the photos he takes that the dogs greet him at the door with toys to show off to him — an unmistakable sign that they are happy to see him!”

I have plenty of experience so your pet will be very well taken care of I work on Ward Parkway at Burns & McDonnell. I have every other Friday off as well as the weekends. I usually work 6:30-4:30 and work from home 1 day a week. Anything after work or any time during the days where I work from home or don’t work fit into my schedule perfectly! About: I have been entrusted with the care of many friends and neighbors pets since I was 10 years old. I have my own cat, Pidge, who I trained to go on walks and do tricks. He’s very friendly and people oriented. I just adopted an Aussie puppy and have been adapting her to the world and keeping her mentally stimulated. I am a detail oriented and thorough sitter. If your pet has special quirks or needs I am more than willing to abide! I can go over their training, take them on a walk and prepare special treats or meals. Anything to ensure my visit is as close to their usual routine as possible. Your pets comfort and care is my top priority. My schedule works perfectly for date nights, concerts, and any special events you may have in the evening during the week. Weekends I’m fully available. If you want your dog to get some socialization I’m also willing to orchestrate a play date with my dog (after an initial meet with you present). I would love to check in on your pet or take your dogs (or cats) for a walk! I work full time so I am available on weekdays in the morning, evening and overnight. Weekends all day. I can visit after work and take them on a walk, feed them, let them out to potty, check their food/water, do some training, etc. I am detail oriented and will make sure I follow the specific routine and guidelines you require for your pet. In my own home I have a daily schedule for my puppy’s training in 10min increments to maximize her training and behavioral development, as well as give her my undivided attention in the hours she’s awake. I wouldn’t hesitate to go above and beyond for your pets as well. I care about the well being and safety of all animals and will make sure every pet in your home is treated with respect.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Kansas City
Regan did a wonderful job with the drop in visits. My dog really liked him and my shyest cat came out to see him, which I consider a good sign. Regan also made sure the feral cats had food and water as requested. Sent me photos & quick updates. I would love to hire Regan again when I go out of town.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Kansas City with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
