“Beth is very nice, punctual and caring. Beth did an amazing job checking on Lea (my cat) while I was out of town. She gave her medicine and then sat and played with her a bit after feeding her too. It was such a relief knowing someone was checking on her and taking care of her. I would definitely re-book with Beth!”

“Kylee was a WONDERFUL Rover sitter! She was on time based on our agreement every day, she treated my pup like her own, and sent the best pictures! I will definitely book her again! (Once Coronavirus allows me to get back to business as usual).”
“Alison was wonderful with our two kitties! Made us feel so much better being away, knowing they were in such good hands. Highly recommend her as your go-to pet sitter!”

About: Trusted pet sitter who provides more than just pet care. I provide companionship, comfort, and consistency. With a focus on individualized attention, dependable service, and regular communication, I ensure every dog and cat feels safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I prioritize feeding schedules, playtime, companionship, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for every pet in my care. Whether it’s morning walks, administering basic care, or providing attention and affection throughout the day, I consistently make pets’ wellbeing a priority. When caring for pets in their home, I strive to maintain their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I respect each pet’s unique personality and needs.
“Jennifer was great! She came over once a day to feed the cat and clean the litter box. I got lots of updates and photos. It was nice to get messages from someone who enjoyed hanging out with my cat.”
“Griffin was awesome with my 9 month old, energetic puppy! He was reliable and prompt and sent awesome updates with pictures! Would definitely recommend!”

“I really appreciate Hannah! I needed to hire someone last minute for my 5 furbabies, and she was more than willing. I asked if she wouldn't mind if I reached out for additional days toward the end of my trip away, and though I ended up not needing to do so, she was willing to do that as well. Additionally, my senior rottweiler mix likes to "give attitude," which can be scary if you aren't familiar with it, and Hannah handled that beautifully. She was communicative when it happened, which allowed me to message her to share what to do about it (which was to let the dog throw her fit and leave her be). I'd hire her again in a heartbeat, and probably will when I take trips in the future!”

“Sandy was so dependable! We asked her to let our dogs out midday for about a month and she always communicated well and helped us out so much! Our stubborn little pups were fond of her right away :)”

About: My family has had dogs and cats since I was little and they currently have three dogs at home. Unfortunately I moved so I don’t get that animal love that I want and I don’t have a pet of my own here. I would love to take care of your animal(s) and treat it like it’s my own! I work right down the street from my apartment and will be home for lunch every day. My hours are 8-2 so your animal would not go longer than 4 hours alone each day. I live in an apartment, but it has a dog park that I have taken many dogs I’ve sat for to! I also live close to a walking trail and it’s perfect!

About: I have taken care of dogs since i was in high school and have a passion for animals. I have had dogs stay with me and also have just walked dogs when needed. I am open to helping in anyway i can! Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, active, and loved. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide regular walks, feeding, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I also make time for updates and communication with pet parents so they feel comfortable while they’re away. Caring for pets is something I enjoy as part of my everyday life, not just a side task. I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where pets can feel relaxed and at home. I follow each pet’s regular routine for feeding, walks, playtime, medication, and rest so they stay comfortable while away from their owners. Pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and supervision throughout the day, and I make sure they get regular potty breaks and exercise. I also keep pet parents updated with photos and messages so they know their pets are happy and well cared for.
“We definitely picked the perfect sitter for our pups. Michelle was amazing, not only did she do exactly what she said she said she would do during the meet and greet...its our opinion that she went above and beyond what we feel a dog sitter would normally do. Each visit report was detailed with what she saw and did. Super happy with everything and only hope to have Michelle back out when we decide to travel again!”

“Ron took great care of our dogs over a five day period during a busy holiday season. His drop-in visits occurred in the schedule we had requested, and he managed the daily walks we had asked for in addition to the regular feeding, watering, and backyard visits. With all the real-time notices of his visits, and we were able to relax and enjoy our trip. Great experience!”

“Brittany did such a great job with my babies! At the meet and greet my skittish dog went right up to her and she automatically started playing fetch with my outgoing pup. The pictures and updates were great and I know my babies were well taken care of! 100% would recommend. Thanks Brittany!”

About: I am a responsible professional who is looking to make some extra money outside of my full-time job in tech. I love dogs and many other types of animals and have 2 dogs, Severus and Hagrid, whom I live with at home. My availability is relatively flexible, and I can work from home during the week. During the week I am available to stay overnight at your house and may be able to stop by in the middle of a weekday, depending on your location. During your absence I am also willing to take in your mail or water your plants. While I am available on weekends, I will need advanced notice to ensure that I am able to accommodate your request. My skills include experience training a puppy and caring for animals other than dogs. I have been pet/house sitting for families since I was eight, taking care of various types of animals such as dogs, reptiles, cats, and fish. I work full time M-F but have the flexibility to work remotely if I choose to do so. I am available evenings and weekends, as well as during the workday to let out dogs for bathroom breaks. I offer in-home boarding in my home for dogs, house sitting in the owner’s home (available to stay overnight in the home) for both dogs and cats, and drop-in visits.
About: I grew up with all different sizes of dogs with different needs. I loved getting to know the pups and seeing what made each one unique. Im currently working part-time so my schedule is very open currently. The pet care would be the main priority of my days scheduled. The schedule would include feedings, walks, bathroom breaks, play time, and relaxing. I have a patio area connected to my home. I also have ample space to take long walks, as well as a park close by. I also am able to handle walking any size dog as I have experience walking all different shapes and sizes!

“Lori is fantastic! This is our second time working with her, and I can’t say enough good things. She took such great care of our home and fur baby, and went above and behind to make sure everything was taken care of. We always feel comfortable leaving out kitty in Lori’s hands, because we know she’ll be well cared-for. She always sends lots of pictures with her Rover cards, which is appreciated when we’re missing our fur baby! Thanks, Lori!”

“Victoria’s help was fantastic. My younger dog had never acted out before and she did this time, unfortunately. Victoria handled everything like a champ. Victoria follows instructions exactly as needed and is great with the updates.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Merriam
We have a big ol' Irish Weirdhound who is extremely picky about who she lets touch her and play with her and such. Emily was immediately her friend, which we have only rarely seen in the 6 years we've had our pup. She is easy to communicate with and on time for every drop in visit. We will definitely be asking Emily to keep an eye on our weirdo again!

Pamela did a great job. This is the 2nd time she’s checked on my pets and they enjoy being around her, she even gets my shy guy to come out to say hello for pictures. Also Pamela sends great pictures every day. I will definitely hire her again if possible.

Grace! You are so wonderful! Thank you so much for watching our boys! We were out of town for an extended holiday and it was so relieving seeing how much fun the boys had with Grace. We anxiously waited for photos and the report card and were never disappointed. She took amazing care of them and we can not thank her enough!

Erin has been great. Both of my dogs like her and my cat who is normally skittish has stayed out when Erin has been over. I’ve had to reach out short notice a couple of times, and she has been able to accommodate. I’m very pleased and I would highly recommend her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
