About: My family has had dogs and cats since I was little and they currently have three dogs at home. Unfortunately I moved so I don’t get that animal love that I want and I don’t have a pet of my own here. I would love to take care of your animal(s) and treat it like it’s my own! I work right down the street from my apartment and will be home for lunch every day. My hours are 8-2 so your animal would not go longer than 4 hours alone each day. I live in an apartment, but it has a dog park that I have taken many dogs I’ve sat for to! I also live close to a walking trail and it’s perfect!

“Ron is great and SO reliable. I never wonder for even a moment whether he’ll show up as scheduled or care for our dogs as we request. I can see in the photos he takes that the dogs greet him at the door with toys to show off to him — an unmistakable sign that they are happy to see him!”

About: About Me: Hi, I’m Andi! My goal is simple: to be your pup’s second best friend and to give you absolute peace of mind while you are away. As someone who has personally raised and loved four dogs of my own, I know firsthand that pets aren't just animals - they are family. I understand how tough it can be to leave them behind, which is why I treat your pet's routine, comfort, and safety with the highest level of care and respect. When I’m watching your dog, keeping their regular routine is my focus. Whether they have a strict feeding schedule, specific potty and playtime breaks, or just do best in a calm predictable environment, I make sure everything goes smoothly. You can travel guilt-free knowing they are happy, safe, and sticking to their normal routines. Because I work from home most days, I am nearby to ensure your pup has consistent companionship and care. My workday structure allows me the flexibility to step away and manage whatever your dog needs, keeping their daily routines seamless. Mornings: The day starts with a timely potty break, breakfast and fresh water, with some morning companionship before I focus on work. Mid-Day: I am easily able to take breaks for mid-day potty runs, quick playtime stretches, or a walk. Your pup will have a buddy nearby throughout the day to ensure they feel safe and secure. Evenings & Nights: Dinner is served right on time, followed by an evening with walks, playtime, and cuddles. Before bed we'll do one last potty break and settle into a calm, relaxed environment. A Quick Note on Schedule Variations: While I am home most of the week, I do work from the office on Wednesdays from 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM. I always make sure dogs get a great morning routine and potty break before I head out, and I am right back in the afternoon for their next break. Additionally, I occasionally work a second job on weekends. If a stay falls over a weekend, there may be stretches where the pups are left alone, but they will always be safely settled and completely taken care of before and after! Because I view your dog as family, their safety and your peace of mind are my top priorities. Having raised four dogs of my own, I know how to spot potential hazards and maintain a secure, low-stress environment. I only host or sit for one family's pet(s) at a time. Your dog will never have to compete with unfamiliar dogs for attention, and you don't have to worry about the unpredictable behavior of other people's pets. They get my full focus. I am incredibly mindful of open doors, gates, and secure leash attachments. I keep a tidy, dog-friendly space so your pup can lounge, explore, and enjoy a truly relaxed environment. Trust starts before the stay even begins. I never skip a Meet-and-Greet because I want to learn your dog's unique quirks, what makes them nervous, and exactly how they behave in different situations. If anything ever seems off—whether it's a change in their usual energy, appetite, or bathroom habits—you will be notified immediately. I treat your pup with the same watchful eye and care I gave my own.
“Jennifer was great! She came over once a day to feed the cat and clean the litter box. I got lots of updates and photos. It was nice to get messages from someone who enjoyed hanging out with my cat.”
About: I am a responsible professional who is looking to make some extra money outside of my full-time job in tech. I love dogs and many other types of animals and have 2 dogs, Severus and Hagrid, whom I live with at home. My availability is relatively flexible, and I can work from home during the week. During the week I am available to stay overnight at your house and may be able to stop by in the middle of a weekday, depending on your location. During your absence I am also willing to take in your mail or water your plants. While I am available on weekends, I will need advanced notice to ensure that I am able to accommodate your request. My skills include experience training a puppy and caring for animals other than dogs. I have been pet/house sitting for families since I was eight, taking care of various types of animals such as dogs, reptiles, cats, and fish. I work full time M-F but have the flexibility to work remotely if I choose to do so. I am available evenings and weekends, as well as during the workday to let out dogs for bathroom breaks. I offer in-home boarding in my home for dogs, house sitting in the owner’s home (available to stay overnight in the home) for both dogs and cats, and drop-in visits.
“Beth is incredibly kind and was amazing taking care of our older dog Izzy, which is no easy task as she has trouble getting around with her legs. She treated our pup with such great care and was so accommodating for her while we were gone. Izzy made a new best friend that week, we would recommend Beth hundred times over, she is very wonderful at handling doggos!!”

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats my whole life. I currently have two boxers and a morkie (Maltese Yorkie mix). I used to work part-time at a vet clinic so I have experience with all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats. I currently work part time at a doggy daycare. I currently have a lot of free time so although I have dogs of my own I will have plenty of time and energy to care for your fur babies! I have plenty of experience with walking (and playing with) dogs of all sizes. I also have experience giving dogs and cats medication such as pills, injections, or topical. I have also pet-sit cats a many times, just checking in every day or even staying with them so I can feed, water, and play with them.
“August was awesome! Sent pictures and visit summaries after every visit. Took my dog on walks and played with him every visit. He had some stomach issues while I was away, and August was a big help in getting him to feel better and eat again!”

“Griffin was awesome with my 9 month old, energetic puppy! He was reliable and prompt and sent awesome updates with pictures! Would definitely recommend!”

“Sandy was so dependable! We asked her to let our dogs out midday for about a month and she always communicated well and helped us out so much! Our stubborn little pups were fond of her right away :)”

About: Hi! I’m currently a student at the university of Kansas Medical Center. I’ve had at least one dog in the house as long as I can remember. I’ve helped care for special needs dogs and laid back dogs by walking, bathing, and administering medications. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find a perfect sitter for your furry family, so reach out if you think i’d be a good fit for you! As a graduate student at ku I am in several classes. Class schedules can vary and I also have a part time job but I have no problem moving my schedule around if able. Weekends I am free! I will not be able to care for any pets in my home as I am currently staying in an apartment with my sweet cat who prefers to be alone.
“Victoria’s help was fantastic. My younger dog had never acted out before and she did this time, unfortunately. Victoria handled everything like a champ. Victoria follows instructions exactly as needed and is great with the updates.”
About: Truly, if I could have a dog in my lap or by my side at all times, I would! I’ve cared for dogs my whole life and absolutely love being around animals. I volunteer at local shelters and have experience with pets of all kinds, including those with special needs. I’ve cared for dogs through surgeries, allergies, and even cancer, and I’m comfortable giving medication when needed. I’m a freelance graphic designer, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for your pets any time of the day with love and attention. I love going on walks and can drive to parks or anywhere your pup enjoys. I’ll treat your pet like my own and follow your routines to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved.
“We definitely picked the perfect sitter for our pups. Michelle was amazing, not only did she do exactly what she said she said she would do during the meet and greet...its our opinion that she went above and beyond what we feel a dog sitter would normally do. Each visit report was detailed with what she saw and did. Super happy with everything and only hope to have Michelle back out when we decide to travel again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Merriam
This was our first time using Rover and we’re so lucky to have found Stephanie. She went above and beyond in every way. You can tell by her actions that she truly loves animals and watches over them as if they were her own. She gave our family such a gift taking care of our pets in the way that she did- as we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that they were being cared for in the best possible way. I can’t recommend Stephanie enough.

Sarah was absolutely wonderful with our 10-month-old dog, Carl! He had to wear a cone during his stay, and she took the best care of him. She was incredibly responsive, kept us updated, and made us feel so comfortable the entire time. We also really appreciated that she took the time to meet us before the actual visit—it gave us so much confidence leaving Carl in her care. She truly gave us peace of mind, and we couldn't recommend her more highly!

We have a big ol' Irish Weirdhound who is extremely picky about who she lets touch her and play with her and such. Emily was immediately her friend, which we have only rarely seen in the 6 years we've had our pup. She is easy to communicate with and on time for every drop in visit. We will definitely be asking Emily to keep an eye on our weirdo again!

Pamela did a great job. This is the 2nd time she’s checked on my pets and they enjoy being around her, she even gets my shy guy to come out to say hello for pictures. Also Pamela sends great pictures every day. I will definitely hire her again if possible.

Grace! You are so wonderful! Thank you so much for watching our boys! We were out of town for an extended holiday and it was so relieving seeing how much fun the boys had with Grace. We anxiously waited for photos and the report card and were never disappointed. She took amazing care of them and we can not thank her enough!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
