I noticed it was past the scheduled time, and Kathryn hadn't said she was coming over or started the check-in. I looked at the app and realized I had booked for the next week. I contacted Kathryn, and thankfully, she was available to check on my cat that evening. This instance shows how flexible and helpful she is. Even without this situation, I would only have good things to say about Kathryn. She is always on time, and if something comes up, she lets you know. Plus, Kathryn takes some really cute pictures!”

About: I’ve had pets all my life. I’ve cared for my own cats for around 5 years, and I’ve have a senior chihuahua for about a year, but I’ve lived around cats and dogs since I was a baby, and I’ve always been very happy to just hang out with animals and make sure they’re having a great time. I have experience caring for senior animals and giving medication to cats and dogs. I’m very tall and able to handle rowdier dogs. I have experience caring for pit bulls and Sheppard mixes. I’m here to give all animals the best care possible! I prioritize my pets daily. Before I do anything else, I make sure the cats have food, the dog’s gone out, and the litter boxes are clean. My dog gets a pill every other day, so I make sure he’s up to date on his medication. I make sure I know what each animal needs and what has to happen to make sure they stay safe and happy. I work from home, so I usually get to spend a lot of time with my fur babies, and it’s the best. I’m careful to make sure all set boundaries are followed and kept. If I am going into someone else’s home, I make sure animals stay where they’re supposed to and I clean up any messes that may occur. I believe in keeping a clean home and making sure all animals have what they need before I move on to other things. Just tell me the house rules!

About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for animal companions. While I grew up with dogs and cats, I have worked as a vet assistant and kennel technician at Kansas City area shelters. I also became a certified death doula through CareDoula School of Accompanying the Dying in 2018. I have supported many foster and hospice pets and stray and owned animal companions at the end of their life, and as they pass on. In addition, I am currently enrolled in an animal chaplaincy program and is set to finish in June 2025. As a note to potential clients, I prefer to be called AJ and my pronouns are they/them. While I tend to gravitate toward senior pet clients, I enjoy taking care of special needs pets and all others, too! I follow all rules and requests outlined by pet parents.
