“Laurie was amazing and very accommodating to our fur babies. She kept us up to date and communicated with each visit. Totally recommend her and will use again ourselves.”

“Second time booking with Jenna and she did great with Louie! Will continue to use her when I need someone to check on my Louie, as she keeps me updated and lets me know how her overall visit with Louie was :)”

About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life with different needs and personalities, I've also had family and friends come to me to take care of there pets. I'm currently working part time at a jackson animal clinic, i work 5-6 hours a day about 4 days a week. My schedule changes every week. I have a fenced in yard with two cats that are very friendly. Trust i will have full attention to your pet and make sure their needs are met.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better, Pet Sitter! Leaving my cat while I was on vacation is never easy but from the moment I met Theresa, I knew they were in excellent hands. She is attentive, reliable, and genuinely caring. She really took the time to get to know my cats, so they were comfortable around her. And I was so thankful she was able and willing to give insulin injections to my diabetic cat. I especially appreciated the regular updates, photos, and little notes about how each visit went. It gave me so much peace of mind. It’s such a relief to find someone who treats your pets like their own. I would absolutely trust Theresa again without hesitation and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a responsible, compassionate, and top-notch Pet Sitter!”

“Misti is the BEST sitter I we’ve ever had. Our pets love her! We were gone for two weeks and she took great care of them. Attentive to their needs, took them on long walks, and even updated us on some eating habit changes. Our little void wasn’t eating as much as he usually does, she immediately let us know and we figured it out together. She is a GEM!!!”

“Paola was wonderful to my babies and always made the extra effort. She was on time and spent the entire hour with my babies and I truly appreciate that. She sent me photos, I missed them so much its my first time away from my kitten the pictures were so appreciated. Thanks so much Paola and if I go out of town again im going to be hoping to have you watch them! 🫶🏼”

“Jennifer was such a thoughtful and compassionate person who gave Gunner his own time and space to warm up to her. Thanks for your recommendation about slow feeder bowl for Gunner!!”

“I'm thrilled to have found Emma on Rover as my new go-to pet sitter for Popcorn (my cat). Popcorn warmed up to Emma immediately, and Emma was communicative and a real cat pro. I loved the photos she sent while we were on vacation.”

About: I've owned dogs, fish, a bird, and a turtle and am eager to assist with your pets! I've also sat for cats and dogs, in the past. I'm currently working part-time so my schedule allows for plenty of time to spend with your pets! I have weekends available for walks and drop-ins. I am reliable and pay great attention to detail. About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every pet. I know that trusting someone with your furry family member is a big decision, so I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m patient, dependable, and committed to following your pet’s routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. This is my only job at the moment so I am very flexible. Soon, though I may do some substitute teaching but that is a nice job too because it’s also very flexible. I care for every pet according to their individual routine and needs. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection. I pay close attention to their behavior and comfort, and I’ll follow any specific instructions you provide, including medications, feeding schedules, or other special care.
“Sarah was incredible. She gave us lots of updates and even brought over her steam vac to clean the carpet when one of the dogs had an accident. She also brushed the dogs without our asking which was going above and beyond. We never had any worries as we knew the pups were in great hands. Highly recommend for any dog sitting duties.”
“Kyle has been a huge help working with our dog who’s got behavioral issues to make sure that not only comforts us but with our own dog. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who’s seeking help with those who need that extra time for your pup to open up.”

“Riley does a fantastic job with Cooper. He is always excited to see her. Most people Cooper is stand offish with but instantly is drawn to her. Riley is very good at keeping me informed of everything that is going on. Thank you so much!!”

About: I have had many animals over the years. As I child, we had so many breeds of dogs. From Saint Bernard, Great Dane, and Bull Mastiff. To sheep dogs and small mixed breed dogs. We currently bace 1 cat, who is the chillest, sweetest cat I’ve ever known. We have 5 kids, who LOVE animals. Your sweet fur baby won’t even know you are gone, with all the love they would get at our house. I was laid off in 2024, so I am currently home with our toddler, while the big kids are at school. So your fur baby would have someone with them all day! We have a big fenced in yard, and a great neighborhood for walks! Your fur baby would be well loved in our care. I am currently home with our 1 year old daughter. My oldest are in school. We go to the gym a few times a week, and do some reselling on the side. But we are never gone for very long and can give your fur baby lots of love and attention. I have a fenced yard, with a 6 foot fence. So your fur baby will be safe! We have plenty of space to crate if needed. We also have a cat tree and lots of good hiding spots for more timid kitties.
“Dennis did great with my two big girls this week. They loved all the attention he gave them. They took to him immediately and had no issues adjusting to a new caregiver and they can be picky so I think he was fantastic.”

“Virginia was very reliable and always sent photos and a detailed summary of her visits, so we always knew our dog was being well cared for while we were on vacation. We would definitely use her again!”

“Megan took great care of our pets while we were gone. She sent photos of every time she came by for her check in! Will definitely use her again in the future. Thanks again, Megan!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Northmoor
I wish I could give ten stars. Brittany went above and beyond to support and care for my senior cat with a fractured pelvis while I had to be out of town. Poor kitty can barely use her hind end and Brittany safely administered her medications, cleaned her extensive toileting mistakes, and coaxed her out of a tight spot when kitty managed to wiggle under the bed. It was really difficult to leave Kitty behind when she was so vulnerable, but Brittany kept her safe the whole time, including staying a little later and providing some supplies I hadn’t thought of when things got a little sticky with her health. I’m beyond grateful for the way she showed up for my kitties. Communicative, on time, and compassionate.

Maria is always focused on the animals, which I appreciate! When I returned, my cats were happy to see me but not aggravated that I'd been gone. That means that they were well cared for and got a lot of attention! I also value Maria's flexibility and her help with things like bringing in my mail, etc. I think she's great! Will definitely have her back!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Northmoor. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
