About: I spent 3+ years at KC Pet Project in feline intake, adoptions, and running the monthly TNR clinic for community cats. It's the kind of job where you meet a few thousand animals and fall for most of them. I fostered cats and kittens, spent a lot of quiet hours winning over cats who'd decided people weren't worth trusting yet, and helped place barn cats into new working homes. I'm comfortable with oral medication, subcutaneous fluids, and prescription or special diets, for cats and dogs both. I also love a good friendly dog, any size. Big goofy ones are my favorite. The only dogs I turn down are ones with a bite history or real leash reactivity, and honestly that's out of respect for them, they deserve someone who specializes in behavior, and I'd rather be honest about that than take a booking I'm not the right person for. Before all this I spent 15+ years in customer service and hospitality, which is probably why I'm a little obsessive about keeping you in the loop. Pet care is my main focus right now. I'm up at 6am and available through about 10pm, so early medications, on-time meals, and late evening check-ins all work. That matters most for cats on a medical schedule, if your cat needs fluids or meds at a specific hour, I build my day around it rather than asking you to adjust. I don't overbook, so nobody gets a rushed visit. Drop-in visits. I work through your instructions the same way every time so nothing gets missed: fresh food and water, medication or fluids if that's part of the routine, litter boxes scooped and refreshed, and then time actually spent with your pet rather than just handling chores. For cats, that might mean a wand toy session, or it might mean sitting quietly on the floor while they decide whether I'm acceptable. Either is fine. I tidy up after myself, check that nothing's leaking or wrong in the house, and bring in mail or packages if you'd like. House sitting. Overnight in your home means your pet's routine barely changes, which for cats is a real advantage. Same feeding, medication, and litter schedule, but with company through the night. I treat your home carefully: I clean up after myself, keep things where I found them, and leave it the way I got it. I'm happy to water plants, handle trash day, and keep lights and blinds moving so the place looks lived in. With either service, I follow your written instructions exactly and I don't improvise. If something seems off with your pet: not eating, hiding more than usual, anything unusual in the litter box, I'll tell you right away, and I'll ask before making any decision rather than guessing at what you'd want.

About: I have the most experience caring for dogs and cats. Growing up, I always had pet dogs. Once I was finally on my own, I got my first cat and fully embraced the “cat lady” stereotype. I now have two other cats and one of them I raised from 4 weeks old. I therefore feel very experienced with bottle baby kittens. I am a full-time teacher so unless we are on a break, I am available during the week after 3pm. I don’t have any work commitments on weekends.
