“Mackenzie was so great with Ohlee. She was so patient and understanding with her needs as an older less friendly dog. She considered every tip I gave her making Ohlee the most comfortable she could possibly be while providing the best care. Mackenzie was also quick to think up solutions to ensure Ohlee was able to live her best life while I was away. We will definitely be using Mackenzie in the future, she is the absolute best.”

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Lori is the best! We were out of country and our sitter fell through and Lori jumped in to help at an hour’s notice so that our pup could have care and a familiar, friendly face for the rest of our trip. If you need someone that you can trust implicitly in your home, look no further. I promise your fur baby will thank you for it too! I can’t say enough great things about Lori.”

“Laurie was amazing and very accommodating to our fur babies. She kept us up to date and communicated with each visit. Totally recommend her and will use again ourselves.”

About: I currently own 2 cats (age 1 and 3) who are my two little babies! I’ve lived with/taken care of cats my whole life and also have experience with drop ins/walks for dogs! It’s important for me to make sure your own little babies are still given important care when you are away! As an owner of cats who need their own care from time to time, I understand the important of keeping their owner’s mind at peace while they are away. I treat other people’s pets as if they were my own! I want them to be treated with the same care I would want my own to be treated.
“Misti is great. She's very attentative to my shy pup, making she she's comfortable, and keeping her comfortable. This was only our first visit with her, but I'm glad we've got found our go to sitter going forward ❤❤👌”

“Emily was incredible. She made time to drop by and meet Lola, prior, to make sure she would be comfortable. She was right on time, took adorable pictures, and did a great job overall. Excited to find someone I can rely on and use again in the future.”

About: Recently graduated from Mizzou, I have spent the last 2 years helping to care for our house pets, including two cats and one dog. I worked to feed, walk, and engage with my pets during this period. Prior to this, I lived and cared for many animals back in my hometown: 3 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, 2 parrots, and a turtle. Because of this, I deliver versatile care, and understand that every pet has its own unique needs! I work 2 part time jobs, both in healthcare, where my hours are stacked on certain days of the week. This gives me flexibility to help care for your pets! Though each week can be a little different, I have my schedule set throughout the summer and can plan far ahead! I have such a big heart for animals! I love giving them attention and care above and beyond what's expected. I prefer to do this in a house sitting situation due to having 5 other roomates with animals here, but I have a car and am willing to do overnights!

“Lori was amazing with my dog Molly! Molly is super shy and scared of new people but Lori was very patient with her and eventually she warmed up. I will definitely use Lori again!”

“Heather is the best! She’s takes such good care of our girls and sends the best updates. Our puppy lost one of her teeth during her visit and she even got the tooth and set it aside for us which was so thoughtful!”

“Elizabeth was wonderful to communicate with, and took great care of our cat while we were away! I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet-sitter. We got several pictures during the drop-in and our cat absolutely loved her.”

About: I’ve grown up with and around animals all my life, I am super active and love being outside, so walks are my favorite! Have experience with both cats and dogs. Looking to help out during my off season from soccer, don’t hesitate to reach out and we can make something work! :) I’m currently in my off season of playing professional soccer, so therefore I am just training at the moment. This means I have a lot of free time through the day and flexibility to work! My dog recently passed, but I would care for her by taking her on a walk during the evening when it wasn’t too hot. Would allow her outside to our fenced yard where she loved to sunbathe and play with her and her favorite toys when she felt up to it! I also love to give her cuddles and kisses cause she was so affectionate. We get to love pets for only a short time of our lives but they love of us for all of theirs, making the privilege of caring for them an honor.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for quite sometime and even have experience with giving dogs pills as well. I’m willing to not only stay and house sit but ensure the animals have a good time. I work part time and have a lot of gaps in my day for side jobs. I live an active lifestyle so there’s no such thing as too many walks or too much playing! I make sure water is full all the time and food arrives on time with no fuss. I can easily pick up after any animals ensuring a clean lawn as well as a clean home. No pet goes unloved!
“Second time using Samantha to check on our cats. She’s reliable and trustworthy. Our shy cat warms up to her so easily. Love getting the update and photos she sends when there. Will book again.”

Whether your furry friend is energetic and playful or needs a calm, patient presence, I adapt to their needs like they’re my own. What sets me apart? I treat every animal with the same love and respect I’d give my own. From cuddles to long walks, I make sure your pet feels at home — even when you’re away. Let’s meet and see if it’s a paw-fect fit! I work Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 4:30, with two of those days remote. I also get an hour-long lunch break, which gives me time to check in or let your babe out mid-day if needed. I always do my best to keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free, even with my work schedule! Whether in your home or mine, I stick to your pet’s routine, give them lots of love, playtime, and care, and make sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away.
About: I've owned dogs, fish, a bird, and a turtle and am eager to assist with your pets! I've also sat for cats and dogs, in the past. I'm currently working part-time so my schedule allows for plenty of time to spend with your pets! I have weekends available for walks and drop-ins. I am reliable and pay great attention to detail. I have a natural rapport with animals and am looking forward to meeting and spending time with your pet(s)!
“Dennis was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, he was reliable, attentive, and incredibly kind. He followed all of my instructions carefully and made sure my dogs were safe, comfortable, and well taken care of at all times. What really stood out to me was the level of care and thoughtfulness he showed — he even sent me photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. You can truly tell he treats the pets like family. Everything was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I came back to happy, well-cared-for dogs, and that means everything to me. I would 100% trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone dependable and genuinely caring. Thank you so much, Dennis! 🤍”

“Rio is my pups favorite part of the day!! She does a great job with my frenchie and has followed all my instructions to the tee! Her communication is OUTSTANDING!!! She gives very thorough summaries of each visit with photos, and I honestly love reading them- it always makes my heart happy knowing my pup had a good visit!! I am a repeat client scheduled weekly with Rio and her care and communication has stayed consistent since day one. Reese loves you, Rio!!! I highly recommend Rio for your furry friend!!”

About: My passion for animals started ever since I had my first dog when I was around 5 years old. She was a shih tzu and we named her KeKe. Ever since then I knew that I wanted to be around animals as much as possible. Animals are very special than most people realize. I appreciate being in their presence! Between the hours of 9am - 5pm I am at work and then have school right after. I am available before 9 am to check on your pets and available anytime after 5pm to take your pets out or check on them. I am also available on weekends full time! I love to go running/walking so I can always incorporate that with your fur babies! Making sure that your pets have a calm and comfortable environment while you’re away is important. Ensuring that your animals get to experience that is my goal.
About: I grew up on a farm, so I’ve always had animals/pets in my life. I’ve owned everything from small dogs to big dogs and cats. I’m a teacher so all pet care will have to be in the evening after school. I typically will finish the school day at 3:30. I own two cats and provide them with safe home environment with plenty of enrichment. I will make sure that your pet is well taken care of and they’ll have a fun time too.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Waukomis
Shannon was great with our boys! We have a timid kitty and another who is pretty pushy with food. Shannon took extra care to ensure that Gary could get a full meal, which can be difficult at times. She made sure both boys got playtime and pets, and put the tv on a timer so that they would have some stimulation after she left. The detailed report cards with photo updates and description of their interactions was reassuring to us while we were away. She was very communicative and left our place looking great. When we got home they were excited to see us, but weren't frantic about us having been gone. It really seems like they made a friend in Shannon. We will be booking with her again!

Paige did a good job visiting my cat and taking care of all the things I asked her to do while I was gone. He definitely looked well taken care of and was in a good mood. Paige was also very good about communicating and being available despite the time zone difference we had.

Maria is always focused on the animals, which I appreciate! When I returned, my cats were happy to see me but not aggravated that I'd been gone. That means that they were well cared for and got a lot of attention! I also value Maria's flexibility and her help with things like bringing in my mail, etc. I think she's great! Will definitely have her back!

Took awesome care of my kitties! Apartment was left clean and it was awesome to come home and destress without having messes to clean up. I totally recommend her. She gave me lots of update pictures whenever she checked in and asked good questions to make sure my cats were well taken care of. I would love to book her again for my next vacation. 10/10! 🫶🏼💕

It took Sebastian barely a moment to get comfortable with Samantha! From the meet and greet, immediately demonstrated confidence and competence in knowing how to approach and interact with him, and watching him warm up to her more and more with each visit reaffirmed that I made the right choice as a first-timer to Rover! I will be requesting her services again without a doubt.

Caitlin is great with our boys and an excellent communicator. She really goes above and beyond. She is our go-to when we need a sitter and appreciate her getting us in on short notice. She leaves our place very clean and from her report cards, we can tell she takes time to hang out with our boys and ensure they have enrichment.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
