Pet Care and Adoptions Specialist
Hi y’all! I’ve worked with animals my whole life, and currently I work in Pet Care and Adoptions at a local nonprofit shelter, so I’m constantly working with cats and dogs of all backgrounds and temperaments, walking and conducting doggy playgroups and introductions, and socializing cats. With dogs, I have basic training skills, including teaching sit and correcting leash pulling. I’m confident working with anxious dogs, jumpy and mouthy dogs, and reactive dogs. Admittedly I’m a cat person. I’ve always been in a multi-cat household, and currently have three of my own. I’ve cared for senior cats, diabetic cats, cats with daily medication, and helped birth and raise multiple litters of kittens. I’m currently sitting for a snake and two tarantulas, and while I’ve never had any of my own it’s been a thrill! Working with all animals alike is so fulfilling and I love that I can do it everyday!

It took Sebastian barely a moment to get comfortable with Samantha! From the meet and greet, immediately demonstrated confidence and competence in knowing how to approach and interact with him, and watching him warm up to her more and more with each visit reaffirmed that I made the right choice as a first-timer to Rover! I will be requesting her services again without a doubt.
Samantha was amazing! Communicative, responsible, on-time, and caring. Felt completely comfortable leaving our three cat babies in her care. Would book again and we recommend!

Fantastic sitter and experience :) Samantha was communicative and wonderful with my boy. Plenty of (delightful) pictures and notes on what the furball was up to that day.
As always, Sam is reliable, on time, and caring. We decided last minute to head out of town to take care of some business and luckily she was available. I’ve booked with her several times over the last several months.
Sam does a great job. We highly recommend her. As a pet owner, it can be stressful when you have to travel or can’t be home. It’s always a relief when Sam is available.

Schedule
I work full time at a shelter, so I can do late evenings, mornings, and my days off which change weekly, don’t hesitate to ask! I typically am available after 7:30 most days.

Safety, trust & environment
I can do drop-in services, whether your pets need food and medications, or a long walk and play session! For dog walking, I can provide my own treat pouch and poop bags, and if there is anything specific your pet needs or uses I am more than happy to do so!

A typical day
During walks, some basic training exercises can be very enriching! If your dog knows sit, shake, or other commands we will exercise those. If you have Kongs, lick mats, and peanut butter on hand, I’m more than happy to make some enrichment activities.
