“MacKinzie did a fantastic job with my two kitties. She was very thorough with all the instructions and still had time to give the girls some love. She was prompt and gave me great feedback and pictures after each visit. I’ll be user her again for my next trip.”

“Second time using Samantha to check on our cats. She’s reliable and trustworthy. Our shy cat warms up to her so easily. Love getting the update and photos she sends when there. Will book again.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for quite sometime and even have experience with giving dogs pills as well. I’m willing to not only stay and house sit but ensure the animals have a good time. I work part time and have a lot of gaps in my day for side jobs. I live an active lifestyle so there’s no such thing as too many walks or too much playing! I make sure water is full all the time and food arrives on time with no fuss. I can easily pick up after any animals ensuring a clean lawn as well as a clean home. No pet goes unloved!
About: I've had dogs and cats my whole life with different needs and personalities, I've also had family and friends come to me to take care of there pets. I'm currently working part time at a jackson animal clinic, i work 5-6 hours a day about 4 days a week. My schedule changes every week. I have a fenced in yard with two cats that are very friendly. Trust i will have full attention to your pet and make sure their needs are met.
“Ellie has been a wonderful addition to our routine. Ari took to her right away and communication has been flawless- Ellie even walked me through my first booking on the app :)”

About: Recently graduated from Mizzou, I have spent the last 2 years helping to care for our house pets, including two cats and one dog. I worked to feed, walk, and engage with my pets during this period. Prior to this, I lived and cared for many animals back in my hometown: 3 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, 2 parrots, and a turtle. Because of this, I deliver versatile care, and understand that every pet has its own unique needs! I work 2 part time jobs, both in healthcare, where my hours are stacked on certain days of the week. This gives me flexibility to help care for your pets! Though each week can be a little different, I have my schedule set throughout the summer and can plan far ahead! I have such a big heart for animals! I love giving them attention and care above and beyond what's expected. I prefer to do this in a house sitting situation due to having 5 other roomates with animals here, but I have a car and am willing to do overnights!
“Anabeth is awesome and very trustworthy. I hired her for routine drop-in visits with my kitten and she is extremely consistent with her visit timing. She always takes photos to show me how my girl is doing. She is great with my little gal Stormie and is kind and tolerant of Stormie's wild kitten shenanigans. I am a very involved and concerned pet parent, so it is a relief to know that the person taking care of my little fur baby is so consistent, responsible, and kind with her.”

“Fantastic job, she kept me updated on my cats while I was away. Also when the power went out, she went right over to make sure they were safe and put my mind at ease! Thank you”

About: Hi, I’m Allie — a lifelong animal lover with a soft spot for pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Whether your furry friend is energetic and playful or needs a calm, patient presence, I adapt to their needs like they’re my own. What sets me apart? I go beyond the basics: I provide personalized care, constant communication (yes, expect lots of cute photo updates!), and a safe, loving environment where your pet can truly relax. I treat every animal with the same love and respect I’d give my own. From cuddles to long walks, I make sure your pet feels at home — even when you’re away. Let’s meet and see if it’s a paw-fect fit! I work Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 4:30, with two of those days remote. I also get an hour-long lunch break, which gives me time to check in or let your babe out mid-day if needed. I always do my best to keep your pet’s routine consistent and stress-free, even with my work schedule! Whether in your home or mine, I stick to your pet’s routine, give them lots of love, playtime, and care, and make sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away.
“Heather was great with drop in care for our pups. Even got them out for a walk which was great! Prompt communication and great meet and greet. High recommend, will book with her again for our next trip”

“Dennis was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, he was reliable, attentive, and incredibly kind. He followed all of my instructions carefully and made sure my dogs were safe, comfortable, and well taken care of at all times. What really stood out to me was the level of care and thoughtfulness he showed — he even sent me photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. You can truly tell he treats the pets like family. Everything was smooth, professional, and stress-free. I came back to happy, well-cared-for dogs, and that means everything to me. I would 100% trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone dependable and genuinely caring. Thank you so much, Dennis! 🤍”

“Natalie was great taking care of our pups. She arrived promptly at the hours we scheduled and provided us with great feedback, updates, and pictures. I will definitely be rebooking her services again. Thanks Natalie!”

“Carolyn was great for drop ins with my shy cat! I was able to book on short notice and Carolyn came over to meet Mitch prior to the visits. She sent pictures and updates while I was away. Would book with Carolyn again.”

About: I’ve grown up with animals since I was five and have experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs. I’ve helped raise three puppies, so I’m comfortable with training basics, routines, and high-energy care, as well as providing gentle, attentive care for older dogs. I truly love animals and treat every pet like my own. I play volleyball at The university of Central Missouri - down in Warrensburg I have lots of free time to help take care of your babies! I have experience with crating animals, grooming, feeding medicines, etc. I love to walk dogs and get exercise with them! I am comfortable spending the night at others homes and bringing dogs to my house if needed! I do have three dogs and one cat right now!

“She was so fantastic. I felt comfortable the entire 5 days away. I knew they were in good hands judging from all the pictures I received from every visit. I'll certainly hire her again the next time I'm away! Handled my two Dalmatians with ease & grace! Koodos!! THANK YOU ANDREA!”

I would give Shannon 10 stars if I could! She went above and beyond taking care of our girls. She even had a last minute emergency and was still able to complete the booking. She really paid attention to our pets behavior and acted according. She communicated very well and sent lots of pics. I will definitely be using her again in the future!

Took awesome care of my kitties! Apartment was left clean and it was awesome to come home and destress without having messes to clean up. I totally recommend her. She gave me lots of update pictures whenever she checked in and asked good questions to make sure my cats were well taken care of. I would love to book her again for my next vacation. 10/10! 🫶🏼💕

Caitlin is great with our boys and an excellent communicator. She really goes above and beyond. She is our go-to when we need a sitter and appreciate her getting us in on short notice. She leaves our place very clean and from her report cards, we can tell she takes time to hang out with our boys and ensure they have enrichment.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
