“Mackenzie did a fantastic job checking in on my pup. She left amazing notes and sent pictures of my pup too. She made sure she ate her food and made sure to leave her in good shape when she left. Definitely will book with Mackenzie again!”

“Megean and her husband loved and took great care of both our cats! We looked forward to the twice daily updates and photos they provided. Our “shy”/not-always-friendly cat Charlie warmed up to them instantly= they are great with cats!!”

About: Recently graduated from Mizzou, I have spent the last 2 years helping to care for our house pets, including two cats and one dog. I worked to feed, walk, and engage with my pets during this period. Prior to this, I lived and cared for many animals back in my hometown: 3 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, 2 parrots, and a turtle. Because of this, I deliver versatile care, and understand that every pet has its own unique needs! I work 2 part time jobs, both in healthcare, where my hours are stacked on certain days of the week. This gives me flexibility to help care for your pets! Though each week can be a little different, I have my schedule set throughout the summer and can plan far ahead! I have such a big heart for animals! I love giving them attention and care above and beyond what's expected. I prefer to do this in a house sitting situation due to having 5 other roomates with animals here, but I have a car and am willing to do overnights!
“Heather is the best! She’s takes such good care of our girls and sends the best updates. Our puppy lost one of her teeth during her visit and she even got the tooth and set it aside for us which was so thoughtful!”

About: I currently own 2 cats (age 1 and 3) who are my two little babies! I’ve lived with/taken care of cats my whole life and also have experience with drop ins/walks for dogs! It’s important for me to make sure your own little babies are still given important care when you are away! As an owner of cats who need their own care from time to time, I understand the important of keeping their owner’s mind at peace while they are away. I treat other people’s pets as if they were my own! I want them to be treated with the same care I would want my own to be treated.
“Heather was great with drop in care for our pups. Even got them out for a walk which was great! Prompt communication and great meet and greet. High recommend, will book with her again for our next trip”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for quite sometime and even have experience with giving dogs pills as well. I’m willing to not only stay and house sit but ensure the animals have a good time. I work part time and have a lot of gaps in my day for side jobs. I live an active lifestyle so there’s no such thing as too many walks or too much playing! I make sure water is full all the time and food arrives on time with no fuss. I can easily pick up after any animals ensuring a clean lawn as well as a clean home. No pet goes unloved!
About: I always insure that pets are comfortable! I’ve taken care of old cats and dogs, and I when they are old like that it’s important to meet their needs first, as most of the time they need a lot of guidance and help. I am currently going into online college, so most of my day is free! I often sit down and watch TV or play video games, but I mostly enjoy writing and drawing in my free time I personally like to ask owners how there pets are in the company of others, as well as if any weather bugs them! The comfort of my pets, and owners is always my number 1 priority! I want to make sure that they are comfortable around me, and I never approach any animal until I’ve let them sniff me, it’s important that they trust me to be around them.
“Marianne was absolutely delightful at our meet and greet, and the gang 🐾 loved her from the start! The pics each visit felt very personal, and I knew my babies were in good hands!”

About: I have had pets all of my life, including cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and even a bird! You can trust that I will take care of and love your pet(s) like my own! I am currently a stay at home mom to a 7 month old, so I can work around nap times. My son will be with me, but can stay with my husband evening/weekends, if needed I can care for your dog(s) by letting them outside, taking for walks, changing food/water if needed, and play with them. I can care for your cat(s) by cleaning their litterbox, feeding/changing water, and playing with them.
About: We have been pet owners all our lives until recently. We have experience looking after dogs and cats. We would love to fill the gap by helping you out with pet sitting needs. Your fur baby will be treated as part of our family! My husband and I work full time, some days from home. My work is just few minutes away so I am able do potty breaks and walk during lunch. Our schedules are flexible and we can adapt to your needs. We currently don't have any pets at the house. Our yard is not fenced but the neighborhood is very dog friendly with a little nature trail for walks.
“Kate was a pleasure to work with! She was easy to contact, extremely responsive, and sent multiple pictures during each visit. Our cat Daisy was well taken care of and looked to enjoy her time with her new friend. Would definitely recommend Kate's services!”

Those will always be specified in my calendar. I have a large yard and two friendly cats to keep your pup company and active. I have a large dog crate if your dog is crate trained.
About: I grew up on a farm, so I’ve always had animals/pets in my life. I’ve owned everything from small dogs to big dogs and cats. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
