“Taylor was very flexible in coordinating the plans and did great with my cat. He’s usually quite shy but she was able to get him comfortable enough to come out and visit, which was a huge relief.”

“Theresa stopped by to check on my two cats and she was awesome! I felt confident that the cats were well taken care of, she sent lots of pictures and was very responsive.”

“Very friendly, on time and courteous! Cleaned up after the dog accidents, first time I’ve come home to a non-smelly home after a dog sitting. Very appreciative of Emma’s service!”

“Samantha was truly amazing! Communication was always persistent and we got the best updates with lots of pictures/videos. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!”

“Evey has been terrific with my little rescue Marco. He is frightened of many things but continues to open up with each visit she makes. I do not worry when I am at work because I know he is enjoying her daily visits.”

About: Hi there! I’m Emily, and I am probably the biggest dog lover you’ll ever meet. We always had dogs in my family growing up (and we still do). I worked in the kennel of an animal hospital for three years, which involved walking and feeding dogs, as well as assisting the veterinarians with patients. I have volunteered at an animal shelter, I have dog walking experience, I have fostered dogs, and I still volunteer with local dog rescue groups from time to time. Your dog’s health, safety, and happiness are my priorities. I can’t imagine life without dogs, and I understand that they are more than just pets: they are family. I look forward to providing the best possible care for your furry family members!
“Keesha was a great sitter! She was took amazing care of our 12 year old Maine Coon. The daily drop ins for food, water and treats was just what our grumpy old man needed during our quick weekend away. Daily updates/photos put our minds at ease knowing he was in great hands. Highly recommend Keesha to care for your fur baby! We 100% will be using her again soon!”

“I am so confident in Jessica's abilities to help and take care of my puppy when I am away at work! I look forward to our training sessions together! She is great with communication and even better with my pup!”

“Jasmine has been a lifesaver for the 2 kitties! They were available on short notice and have gone above and beyond to help with the cats health needs. Jasmine was communicative and sent lots of photos! I would highly recommend Jasmine!!”

“Kyle has been a huge help working with our dog who’s got behavioral issues to make sure that not only comforts us but with our own dog. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who’s seeking help with those who need that extra time for your pup to open up.”

“As usual, Laurie took great care of our dog while we were away for a few days. She always provided extensive details regarding the dog's daily activities, as well as her overall health and well-being. Laurie has always been very responsive, and we have never had any reason to think she has not given our dog's care top priority.”

“Misti is great. She's very attentative to my shy pup, making she she's comfortable, and keeping her comfortable. This was only our first visit with her, but I'm glad we've got found our go to sitter going forward ❤❤👌”

“Jennifer was FANTASTIC! Her care was top notch and I felt so secure leaving my kiddos with her. I genuinely think that one of my cats, Toast was disappointed to see us, and not Jennifer. She gave great updates and photos at every visit and we appreciated her so much! I will absolutely contact Jennifer again for care of our kitties.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care and attention I give every pet. I know that trusting someone with your furry family member is a big decision, so I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m patient, dependable, and committed to following your pet’s routine so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. This is my only job at the moment so I am very flexible. Soon, though I may do some substitute teaching but that is a nice job too because it’s also very flexible. I care for every pet according to their individual routine and needs. I’ll make sure they have fresh food and water, regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection. I pay close attention to their behavior and comfort, and I’ll follow any specific instructions you provide, including medications, feeding schedules, or other special care.
“My puppy loves Kellie, she’s very engaging and helps him get rid of some of his puppy energy! I would highly recommend her to love on your pups!”

“Kaitlyn was super professional and wonderful with our cats. She sent pics and communicated along the way. She spent extra time with them and the cat litter and food areas were spotless. Will definitely be using her again!!!!!!”

About: **Cats-only boarding + Dog walking + Drop-ins** Adopted my fur baby over 2 years ago and have been in charge of pet sitting for my friends, since! I know the stress of leaving my pet in others’ care too well, so be prepared for daily proof-of-life pics from me 🤗 I’m also a type a med student, so you best bet my place is cat-proofed and i quadruple check anything that will come in contact with the pets ‼️ Pets will receive personalized attention based on need, but I will have my own cat here as well!! She’s very social and sweet, so she enjoys company. I have a room for your baby to acclimate slowly if need be :) My apartment has a pet elevator and areas to walk dogs, as well. I have a pretty flexible schedule this year, so I will be available at home for most of the weekend and weekday afternoons-evenings. I might skip breakfast if I wake up late, but keeping pet food out is non-negotiable ‼️ I clean litter boxes, groom, brush teeth daily. No cat-toxic plants in environment and all cabinets with household supplies are pet-proofed. Have a cat tree, cat tunnels, and plenty of places for cats to perch and scratch. I use Feliway Multicat calming diffusers to ease introduction between cats. I have experience giving my cat oral medications, training her to use an inhaler as well. My place is kept clean with a cleaning robot and weekly deep cleans.
“Rafaela was amazing with my cat and dog! They were both so comfortable and happy when I got home, and she kept me updated with photos and messages while I was away and even made me aware of a beeping noise that was coming from the laundry unit. You can tell Rafaela really cares about animals — my pets were in great hands and I would gladly book Rafaela again!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - North Kansas City
Regan did a wonderful job with the drop in visits. My dog really liked him and my shyest cat came out to see him, which I consider a good sign. Regan also made sure the feral cats had food and water as requested. Sent me photos & quick updates. I would love to hire Regan again when I go out of town.

Derek was great to work with!! Our cat Rini really liked him and he greeted her immediately when he came to our house for an introduction. He shared a few photos during his check in visits and was prompt in responding when we had questions and while setting up the visits. We will definitely ask Derek to check in with our cat in the future!

We had an excellent experience with Kara! From beginning to end, communication was prompt and meticulous. While we were away, she kept us completely at ease by sending lots of photos and detailed updates after each in-home visit. We especially appreciated how thorough she was in describing how each of our cats was doing—their moods, eating habits, playtime, and any little personality quirks that came up. She took the time to get to know our animals individually and cared about their comfort and routine. We would absolutely book with Kara again and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and communicative pet sitter!

This was my second time leaving my two cats in Rafaela's care, and I have no worries about them when she's watching them. They can be shy at times but they really seem to be comfortable with her. She sends great photos & updates, and communicates well. I highly recommend her!

Jessica was a lifesaver! Someone had cancelled on us at the last min and we were scrambling to try and find someone to help drop in and feed/check on our cat while we were away during the holidays. Jessica found time in her very busy holiday schedule to meet up for instructions and stop by to check in on our cat while we were away. Truly a very kind person and did a great job making sure our cat was taken care of while we were away. Would absolutely recommend.

This was the first time I have had Claudia watch my two cats, and it won’t be the last! She is wonderful, paying attention to detail and had great communication. She was patient and loving to one of my cats who can be difficult. She was always on time and made sure to reach out with any questions. I’d highly recommend Claudia for any of your fur babies needs!

Everything went great! Erica was super with our cats. Everyone seemed healthy and happy when we got home. Eric was able to adjust easily to our slight adjustments in schedule and was available for late evening meds for my old lady cat. I really enjoyed getting to see pics of the cats during the visits.

Jennifer was FANTASTIC! Her care was top notch and I felt so secure leaving my kiddos with her. I genuinely think that one of my cats, Toast was disappointed to see us, and not Jennifer. She gave great updates and photos at every visit and we appreciated her so much! I will absolutely contact Jennifer again for care of our kitties.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
