“Billie Jo is so kind and helpful with our puppy who is learning waking skills and kennel etiquette. She cleaned up his mess every time with kindness and efficiency.”

“Theresa stopped by to check on my two cats and she was awesome! I felt confident that the cats were well taken care of, she sent lots of pictures and was very responsive.”

“Kristina was wonderful! She loved my dog and you could tell she loves all animals! My vacation was extended, unexpectedly, due to an hospital admission. and she even picked up the extra shifts which helped alleviate my stress immensely. So I highly recommend Kristina!”

“This was my first time using Rover and Mya made the experience amazing! I will definitely be using her again. My dog is very shy and not good with strangers but Mya took her time to be patient and calming. My dog started warming up to her very fast and I belive dogs have a good judge of character ;)”

“Misti is the BEST sitter I we’ve ever had. Our pets love her! We were gone for two weeks and she took great care of them. Attentive to their needs, took them on long walks, and even updated us on some eating habit changes. Our little void wasn’t eating as much as he usually does, she immediately let us know and we figured it out together. She is a GEM!!!”

“Very friendly, on time and courteous! Cleaned up after the dog accidents, first time I’ve come home to a non-smelly home after a dog sitting. Very appreciative of Emma’s service!”

“Paola has been such a wonderful life saver! She was able to help me last minute, adapt to an off-time schedule, and made sure my pup was taken care of so I had one less thing to worry about while I was at work. I’ve utilized her services multiple times and will definitely continue to ask for her help.”

“Jessica is great with our pups during drop in visits. Both dogs (even our spicy brained boy) seem to easily connect with her because of her thoughtful and skillful approach, which sets our mind minds at ease while we’re away.”

About: I have had many animals over the years. As I child, we had so many breeds of dogs. From Saint Bernard, Great Dane, and Bull Mastiff. To sheep dogs and small mixed breed dogs. We currently bace 1 cat, who is the chillest, sweetest cat I’ve ever known. We have 5 kids, who LOVE animals. Your sweet fur baby won’t even know you are gone, with all the love they would get at our house. I was laid off in 2024, so I am currently home with our toddler, while the big kids are at school. So your fur baby would have someone with them all day! We have a big fenced in yard, and a great neighborhood for walks! Your fur baby would be well loved in our care. I am currently home with our 1 year old daughter. My oldest are in school. We go to the gym a few times a week, and do some reselling on the side. But we are never gone for very long and can give your fur baby lots of love and attention. I have a fenced yard, with a 6 foot fence. So your fur baby will be safe! We have plenty of space to crate if needed. We also have a cat tree and lots of good hiding spots for more timid kitties.
“Jenna is one of the most honest loyal person I have meant. This is the second time she has sat with my cat, and I can not say enough about Jenna, she is a life saver. She made feel so safe, and when you give someone a key to your home, safe is what you need. Jenna did that and more, I believe she deserves a raise or bonus, for representing Rover.com, to the up most quality, that she gave. And to the care she gave my cat!!!😀 Thank you Jenna”

“She is very reliable and communicative when she watched my 2 dogs for the 4th of July weekend. I am very appreciative to have found her and definitely recommend her to anyone needing a great dog sitter. Thank you Hannah!”

“Our dogs love their visits from Kyle and we love knowing we have someone we can trust popping by to take care of them. Kyle is a great communicator and really helped us navigate our care needs.”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life and it seemed the family dogs always gravitated toward me. I can’t imagine life without them! I’ve been caring for other’s dogs ever since I got my drivers license. The first dog I watched for a family (a beautiful Alaskan husky) had diabetes and required diabetic shots twice a day. Even though it hurt to have to give him shots, I loved having the opportunity to care for dogs other than my own. Since then I’ve had the opportunity of being the go-to dog watcher for several families with several different dog (and cat) breeds. I will make every effort to give your dog the same care that I was able to give Skyler and the rest of the dogs I’ve had the great fortune of watching and taking care of. There’s not many things that give me more joy than spending time with dogs. Now that I have more time on my hands in my 30’s I have recently gotten connected with volunteering with KC Pet Project. Dogs deserve all the love in the world. I currently work from home Monday and Friday so in addition to the weekend, it opens up availability to be present for the doggie. I’m in the office Tuesday - Thursday but available for morning/evening and quick bathroom breaks over lunch. I have a fenced in backyard and ample space inside the house to make your dog comfortable. I can crate if needed, but also have rooms that can function as “dog” rooms for the periods when I need to leave the house. I have my own Belgian Malinois, who mostly does her own thing. :)
“Virginia was great with our senior baby. She helped us by doing a couple of drop ins while we were gone for the day. She sent us a detailed update and pictures at each visit. We highly recommend Virginia and will request her for future visits!”

“Josie was great! She kept the communication going while we were out of town so we were always kept up to date on Wrigley and if she had any questions or anything. She knew how to introduce herself to him so he felt comfortable while we were gone, and that was the most important part for us. We'll definitely be using Josie again next time we need a dog walker”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
