“Emma stayed with my cat Patrick for a week while I was in another state for work. Patrick needs some special attention and takes daily medication. She did a great job making sure he was taking care of and comfortable! Additionally, she communicated with me well and made sure to send me some pictures every day!”

“Kelsey was wonderful. She followed our instructions to the letter - our dog is on medications, on a strict schedule, so this is very important. She was extremely conscientious in sending pics, watering our plants, and otherwise caring for both our pet and our house. Kelsey is also very pleasant and easygoing...Best of all, our dog loves her! We highly recommend her, and intend to engage her services again.”

“Jennifer did a great job taking care of my dog for a last minute work trip. I loved the photos she sent each day! Blaze was instantly relaxed around Jennifer at the meet and greet (she can be a bit nervous around new people at first), so I knew it would go well while she was house sitting.”

“Karrie was fantastic! She stayed in our home, which helped our dogs feel comfortable and relaxed right away. She kept them on their usual routine, so we never had to worry while we were away. She was also a wonderful house guest and even washed dishes and bedding before she left. We couldn't have asked for better care and will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Jenna was great. Super communicative, very attentive during the meet and greet, and sent regular updates for both my pets. I would definitely have her house sit again!”

About: Hello, I'm Josie, I'm 30 years old when I was 18 I worked with animals first time at petsmart as a dog bather. I have always loved animals. I'm very good at taking care of animals always enjoyed it. I worked at a kennel as a doggy daycare and I love it. I dog sit for friends and family then and there. Dogs trust me. I take my time with aggressive dogs. i never give up. I help build there confidence and there trust. After that they look at me like I'm part of the pack. I'm unemployed and a stay at home mom. I have plenty of time to take care and play with you're fur babies. I love working with animals ❤ I would take them out on the leash and If the client are okay with it I would take the dogs to the dog park.
“This is the third time we’ve had Pamela stay with our pups. I can’t say enough good things about her. Our fur babies are always cared for as if they belong to her, and she leaves our house in excellent condition!”

About: Hey y'all! I'm a looooong time fur mom and lover of all animals. We have a 3 goofy rescues Innu, Brodie Lee and lil sis Alora, but we want to help 'em make more friends! They are SUPER dog friendly and so are we. We take them on walks through our neighborhood and local parks which can lead to off path walking, so I may have to give a bath to your fur babies. We live in a hard wood floor house so accidents are no sweat to us! Our home is well kept and very animal friendly. I've worked in shelters, rescues, and have had many rehabilitated and injured fur babies throughout my life. My kids are my helpers as they are ready for new dogs with different levels of activities and have learned basic training methods from following me. We're here to be the safest and BEST sitters in the metro! I work remotely from my office which looks out into the back yard and allots me a great deal of time to really bond and have a good time sitting others pups! With all to do in the city I just know your pups will enjoy us as much as ours do. I have a oddly terrained fenced yard with a flat patio and tons of shady spots for the dogs to lounge for as long as they please (weather permitting). I leave a big ole' water bowl out there as well - holds 2 gallons and I fill it every day at the beginning and throughout the day.
“Angela was amazing! She took great care of our dog, three cats and chickens. We are always nervous to leave our little family behind when we travel, but Angela was very responsive and we knew they were safe and in good hands. We'll be going to Angela for help whenever we can. We cannot recommend her enough!”

“Excellent sitter for my 8 year old and 2 1 year old Rottweiler puppies. Mya is a loving and compassionate person. She followed my special instructions to the tee and was especially great with my youngest puppy with epilepsy as one of the 7 dogs in her own household also has epilepsy. I couldn't have asked for a better person than Mya for my last minute booking while I had surgery. Will definitely use her repeatedly! Highly recommend.”

“Darlene was an absolute joy to work with with our housesitting and dog sitting. Beyond the fact that she’s a very responsible friend, friendly and experienced person that everyone can trust she’s a really nice person just to get to know as well.”

About: I've always had dogs and cats of my own and I have spent time loving and caring for other pets while petsitting! I have experience petsitting with mainly dogs and cats, but I've also cared for little animals like chinchilla's. I will learn and accommodate to your pet to make them their most comfortable! I’m a student who works part-time, so my schedule varies day to day. However, I’m always available for overnight stays and can pop in throughout the day for potty breaks, playtime, and feedings to ensure your pet’s routine is maintained. I will maintain respect for your home while caring for your pet. I’m clean, diligent, and considerate. I also have previous experience staying overnight while nannying, which has helped me become comfortable and responsible in clients’ homes.
“Evan stayed in our home for over two weeks with our four animals (two cats, two dogs), and we couldn’t be more grateful! He sent us lots of updates with cute photos and videos, and our animals clearly loved him. He even extended his stay when our plans changed, and our home was clean and organized when we returned. We will absolutely be reaching out to Evan again in the future. Thank you for everything!”

“She was great with the animals even with our lengthy instructions. Took very good care of our house and sent pictures everyday with updates of what they were doing. Definitely recommend using her!”

“So grateful to have found Erin! She was so wonderful with my two dogs over the holidays! She sent me several updates throughout the day & left my home spotless. She has such a warm spirit & loved on my boys so well while I was traveling. I can’t recommend her enough!”
About: I stand out as a pet sitter because of my personalized approach to each dog’s and cat’s unique needs. My experience includes recognizing signs of anxiety or stress in both dogs and cats, adapting to keep them happy and safe. Plus, my punctuality and dedication mean your pets receive consistent, attentive care every time. Caring for pets is a natural part of my daily routine. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Randolph walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Randolph maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Randolph choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
