“This was our fist time boarding our dogs. They did great and loved Joseph. He made them feel comfortable right away. They came back happy and tired. Would definitely recommend Joseph.”

“Dominic and his team at home took great care of Maddie. She came home worn out from all the playing with the other dogs. They have a great yard for outdoor playtime and plenty of beds all around (and a lap or two).”

“Kaylie was fantastic with our King Charles. He has a little anxiety and she won him over within two minutes of meeting him. She was very easy to work with. Great communication. We were visiting Kansas City and needed a dog sitter. I highly recommend Kaylie, and will use her again if we are in the area!”

“Lona and Alan took such great care of my Goldendoodle! They were very kind, stayed in touch with regular updates and pictures, and were super responsive anytime I checked in. I felt completely at ease knowing my pup was in good hands. Highly recommend them!”

“Leslie took such good care of our pup. He had never been away from home before so this was so out of his comfort zone but she took such good care of him. Would love for her to be one go-to dog sitter.”

“Sofia was amazing through this whole process, she took such good care of my baby. I was super nervous to have him boarded somewhere for the first time but she kept me updated regularly and was always in contact to reaasure. She was also super understanding and flexible with our schedule, accepted my booking last minute and even agreed to extend our booking when something came up. I appreciate her excellent care would absolutely recommend her and will definitely be booking with her again if available!”

“Misti provided good updates with cute pictures of my dog! She is a senior dog who needs lots of medications but I felt comfortable leaving her in Misti’s care. Will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Susan and the family were incredible. They took Charlie in with warmth and love. She was excellent at providing updates and pictures. Will definitely be booking with Susan again!”

“Awesome boarding family. Anne went above and beyond for my untamed puppy. She had all types of activities for him and a family of fur babies that welcomed my little one with opened arms. Highly recommend!”

“Teddy enjoyed his time with Michelle and her pups. We had never left Teddy before and he has horrible separation anxiety. He acted as though we didn’t exist 😂. She has a fenced 3/4 acre lot for the dogs to explore and he snuggled with everyone on the bed at night. We will definitely be using Michelle again. Bonus points that she is only 15 mins from the airport!!”

“This is the first time we’ve used a service like Rover and had such a great experience with Rhonda that we will never board our dog at a kennel again. Rhonda and her family were so kind and took great care of our dog. She sent pics and videos and we could see how happy our dog was and how well she was being cared for. We will definitely be contacting Rhonda again!!!”

“Christine and her boys made Max feel very comfortable. Her boys were very attentive and loved taking him on walks. We will definitely be using them again.”

“Alex is fabulous! Daisy is so loved and cared for and doesn’t even want to come home!! Haha! Love of love for her and daily walks and snuggles ! Lots of pics and updates too! 10/10”

About: I’ve taken care and raised dogs for over 43 years. My wife and I have always had at least 2 dogs and a cat for 40 years. I’m very experienced in potty training and basic commands along with at side walk training. Experienced in caring for elderly and mobility restricted dogs I am newly retired and love taking my dogs for walks and playing in the yard with them. I am normally at home all day and enjoy the exercise they bring me. We have a wooded large, sturdy wood fenced backyard with ample space to roam and play. Typically walks are twice a day and last for 30-45 minutes. While I allow pets on the furniture, I reinforce the owners preferences to ensure consistency. Experienced with medication administration if needed
“Bobbi did a wonderful job taking care of Sailor! She sent videos and/or pictures everyday with an update of how Sailor was doing. Sailor always looked so happy and content in the videos/pictures. Bobbi was so loving and attentive to Sailor’s needs. I will definitely hire her again in the future! Thank you, Bobbi!!!!”

“We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Laura! Our dog had the best time while we were out of town and we’ll definitely be using her again when out of town. She provides the best experience to make your fur baby feel at home while you are away!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Randolph
I always feel like my dog gets so much love, attention, and exercise when she’s here. She loves coming back and we continue rebooking because Dominic is so attentive and keeps me updated with everything. If I were you, I would trust that my dog will be well taken care of while here.

Joseph was awesome, and I already have our fur baby's next stay with him booked! Great and timely communicator when setting up the stay, and I appreciated the photos and videos during our trip. I could tell our dog was comfortable and happy staying with Joseph and that he truly loves dogs. Thanks, Joseph! Ruth can't wait for her next vacay.

Wonderful communication and care. I had my own anxiety about the other dogs during drop off, but the great little pack and a caring human exceeded my expectations. When I picked up Rosie, I could tell she was happy to see me, but also relaxed and content. She can get stressed easily as a velcro pitty, so this makes it clear that she loved her stay. Thank you for the pictures, check ins, and taking such great care of Rosie.

April was awesome! She was very flexible and accommodating with our need for an earlier drop off. She took very good care of Vito and he played and had a good time. She even sent him home with a toy, his favorite out of her toy box 💝🐾. We would definitely use her again in the future.

We contacted Abigail when we were traveling through the area and needed our pups to have care for two days and 1 night while our family explored. We originally planned to drop them off at a local boarding facility, but thought they’d do better in a quieter environment. Abigail was available for a last minute booking, was super communicative the entire time, sent lots of pictures and updates, was very knowledgeable about our dog breed and dogs in general, had lots of things for them to do at her home and made sure to ask all kinds of questions beforehand so that her home, etc. was set up best for their care. We would definitely use her again if the need arose. Our first experience doing this kind of booking couldn’t have been smoother! Thanks Abigail!

Adam and Kirsten were absolutely amazing with Bruno! He was already limping before we dropped him off, and they took such great care of him and made sure to keep an eye on him the entire time. They sent lots of pictures and updates, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. The best part was picking Bruno up. He came home so happy and in such great spirits. It was obvious he was loved and well cared for. I would 1,000% recommend Adam and Kirsten to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pet. We’ll definitely be booking with them again!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Randolph home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Randolph.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Randolph sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MO ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
