“Hanna always goes above and beyond for my kitties. She makes sure they are comfortable, clean, and well taken care of with their favorite things. She sends the most awesome photos as well. I would highly recommend her for any of your fur babies!! She is always on time, compassionate, loving, and willing to work with any of your needs.”

About: I’ve spent much of my career in the animal health industry and have years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, from energetic youngsters to seniors who need a little extra patience and attention. I also have experience administering medications to both dogs and cats, including oral, topical, and injectable medications, and I’m comfortable following established medication schedules and detailed care instructions. As a pet parent myself, I know that every animal has their own personality, routine, and quirks. I’m comfortable with shy or anxious pets, senior animals, and pets who simply need a little extra time to warm up. For dogs staying in my home, I work from home and am there most of the day, allowing for frequent potty breaks, plenty of attention, and lots of company. I intentionally keep boarding small-scale so your dog can feel like part of the household rather than one of many pets in a busy boarding environment. Most importantly, I want you to feel as comfortable while you're away as your pet does with me. You can expect reliable communication, photos, and updates so you always know how they're doing. I work from home, which gives me lots of flexibility for pets staying in my home. For drop-in visits, I’m generally available mornings through 10 AM, with limited weekday afternoon availability around 3 PM and more flexibility on weekends. I’ll always confirm timing with you before booking so we can make sure your pet’s routine and needs are a good fit. Keeping your pet safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible is my priority. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, medications, potty breaks, and household routines carefully. For dogs staying with me, I have a fenced backyard and work from home, so they’ll have plenty of supervision, frequent potty breaks, and lots of company throughout the day. I also have pets of my own, so meet-and-greets are important to make sure everyone will be comfortable together.
“Kaci-Thank you for taking care of our 2 kitties while we were gone! They seemed happy and content when we returned. We loved all the cute photos! Great communication from the start, meet and greet and making sure the "girls" were loved. We would hire again for sure!”

“Meg was fantastic and so great at watching our dog!! We were out of town and received all of the status updates and pictures that we could have hoped for! Meg was very understanding and easy to work with, and really made us feel like our dog was well taken care of (even through 4th of July fireworks!) Highly recommend!”

“dalton goes above and beyond. he has been a huge help with getting our new rescue into a routine and helping us deal with all the messiness of a new pet transition. highly recommend.”

“Our pets loved having Katy watch after them while we were out of town. We have two senior cats who both need medication/insulin twice daily, and as Katy has two senior cats and two senior dogs of her own, she is very skilled at administering medications if your pet has that need. Our cat Birdy suddenly took ill while we were out of town, and Katy was very prompt with letting us know what was happening and took Birdy to the vet when she needed professional intervention. We are grateful to Katy for her kindness and helpfulness and love for the animals in her care.”
“Jennifer was great! She came over once a day to feed the cat and clean the litter box. I got lots of updates and photos. It was nice to get messages from someone who enjoyed hanging out with my cat.”
“Megan was wonderful with my 3 cats while we were out of town. I was worried the cats wouldn't warm up having a stranger show up to feed them, but Megan was patient and won them over. As a Rover sitter myself I appreciate the effort it takes to make that happen. I will be recommending Megan to anyone that contacts me to sit that I'm not able to do myself!”

“Bones and Margie absolutely love Christina! Shes always on time and with me working over an hour a way shes someone i can trust. Highly recommend her for your fur babies!”

“Kylee was a WONDERFUL Rover sitter! She was on time based on our agreement every day, she treated my pup like her own, and sent the best pictures! I will definitely book her again! (Once Coronavirus allows me to get back to business as usual).”
“Caroline has been such a blessing for our family. My partner’s dog Ozzy has a hard time connecting with new people and isn’t very confident. Caroline has been so unbelievably patient and kind with him. We really appreciate the time she’s taken to become Ozzy’s friend and earn his trust!”

“Michelle was an amazing sitter. She cared for our cat while we were gone for the holidays and knowing he was in good hands made our trip much more enjoyable. She was very attentive and provided us updates. We would highly recommend her.”

“Mallory was our savior! On a trip out of town, our automatic chicken door stopped working in the mornings, and she was able to start right away to let our girls out, even with all of the snow. She was quick to respond and always arrived on time.”

“Devine provided the pet care we had discussed prior to her drop-in visits. When I needed to modify my time, due to daylight savings time changed, she took care of that efficiently. I highly recommend Devine for any pet care you need!”

“Marissa did an outstanding job caring for my two cats over my wedding weekend. Her thoughtful updates and adorable photo check-ins gave me so much peace of mind during such a hectic time. She followed every instruction to the letter, and I could tell my cats felt safe and comfortable, their usual post-trip skittishness was completely gone. I’m so grateful for her care and can’t wait to book her again!”

“This was our first time using Kayah, and we'll definitely use her again. She took great care of our girl while we were away, and gave us constant updates. Best of all, she made her the cutest bandana! Thanks Kayah - you're the best!”

This is the second time Hanna has taken care of our cat Zoey when we were out of town and she did an amazing job! She sends pics for each visit and gives a detailed update as to how things are going. It’s comforting to know that Zoey is being well cared for when we are out of town. Hanna also pulled our bins out for trash day and brought in packages that were delivered.

Abby was great! She was responsive, on time and went above and beyond in taking care of our Aussie! She was thoughtful and detailed with her drop-ins notes with a few photos each time! We definitely will be checking if she is available next time we need care for our pup!

Meg was fantastic with our cats!! They all loved her and her company! Her photos and daily recaps were my favorite thing to read every day! Would 1000% recommend Meg as a sitter! Made sure our house was safe as well, grabbed our mail and tended to our cats little individual needs!
Amber came to our home for the first time to sit with our new (to us) dog Rigsby. Amber not only arrived on time she followed our guidelines to a tee. Rigsby took to her immediately which allowed me to get to my appointment on time. I would highly recommend this young lady to help you with your dog needs.

Dani took wonderful care of our cat, Dali! She was reliable, kind, and kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that Dali was well cared for and comfortable with her. We really appreciated her attention and care, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with Dani again. Highly recommend!

I cannot thank Griffin enough for my last minute request coverage. Nothing makes you more anxious than worrying about who is caring for your baby. I know she was a little stand offish at first but he was patient and took great care of her. Would definitely hire again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
