Currently, I'm doing freelance work from home and working part time for my husband's small business so I have a decent amount of free time/flexibility and can work around my other responsibilities. I love getting out of the house for exercise, so why not bring a sweet pup with me? My dog is our everything and I find it an honor to love on other peoples' animals when they aren't able.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced backyard and a house with minimal stairs. We also own a few child gates that can block off stairs for when we have guests. Our dog has bad knees so I try to lift her on and off the couch and carry her up the stairs as often as she'll let me. I'm happy to handle gates, lock doors, or kennel dogs - whatever is best for their safety. Our house is also child-free.

Information Rachel G. would like to know about your pet
In my experience, every dog has weird quirks or habits that we bend over backwards to accommodate and I enjoy the challenge! Let me know what your baby needs and I'm happy to do it.
A typical day
It depends on the dog, but I've been known to: throw that favorite ball 100 times, chase them around the yard saying "I'm gonna get you", get down on the ground for tug of war sessions, and rub their noggins while I tell them they're beautiful.

Animal and nature lover
Pet care experience
My family has had pugs since I was a little girl and I've always enjoyed playing with, snuggling, feeding, and loving on our family and friends' dogs. We're "pug people", but I love all dogs and want to be friends with them. I've cared for friends and family members' dogs over the last several years, both in their home or my own. I currently have one dog of my own but occasionally babysit my parents' pug. I'm responsible for her feeding, bathing, walking, vet visits, and all other care. She had knee surgery a couple of years ago and I managed her medication, doctor's appointments, and helping her get around the house while she recovered. I have some experience with senior dogs - I regularly watched my parents' senior pug until he passed in 2021 at 16 years old. I also have experience with larger dogs and love getting to chase them around the backyard and hug on them.
Reviews

Rachel is fantastic. You can tell she really loves dogs and always give out dog a lot of love and attention when she comes by. She is great about communicating and giving updates as well.

Rachel is an angel!

I am so thankful on this Thanksgiving Day to have Rachel visit Oliver! She was right on time and gave me a thorough review with photos. I really appreciated that since it was our first time working together. I will absolutely call on her the next time we need care! Thank you, Rachel!

Rachel is the best ! She takes such good care of our puppies. She is awesome at communicating through the app and always lets us know how the visit went in detail. We love Rachel.
