I walk dogs Monday - Friday part time. Normally I walk morning - lunch time in the summer to avoid the heat. For boarding mostly the only time I am gone from the house during the day is to walk dogs. I work from home for my other job so I spend a lot of time with the dogs that board with me!

Boarding: I own a home in Brookside with a fenced yard and plenty of room to play outside. I work from home when I'm not walking dogs and so I spend a lot of time with the dogs that board with me. My bernese mountain dog is a great companion for dogs that my have trouble with large groups at a boarding place because he is gentle and gives space if the dog needs it. I also have experience giving insulin injections as well as helping dogs take pills for those that need medications. Dogs in my home are not crated unless you desire that and want to bring a crate for them to be in to sleep or stay in while I'm away from the house. Other than that they will always be out and hanging out with myself, my wife, and our dog Finnley.

My favorite activities include playing fetch in the backyard, going for walks along trolley trail by my house, and generally just getting to know what the dogs that stay with me enjoy!

Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Dalton and I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was old enough to start dog-sitting as a teenager. I grew up with two golden retrievers and a domestic shorthair cat. Here are a few things that may set me apart from other walkers/sitters that you may find - Dog Walks/Drop-ins: I like to cater the way I walk your dog to whatever your preference is. For some owners, the main goal is exercise and often that means booking for an hour and I am able to get a few miles in so that upon arriving home they get to enjoy a calm dog instead of one that is bouncing off the walls. For other dog parents their desire is just for their dog to interact with someone. I've had dogs where we go and play fetch for 15 minutes and then go walk the rest of the time, as well as dogs that are on an extended leash and we go and explore parks and neighborhoods. I also have a lot of experience with large breeds and dogs that are more difficult to walk or take care of. Thank you for considering me to take care of your pet!

Dalton was so good with my dogs! There was even a big storm while we were away and he was so good with them and really eased a lot of my stresses to make them feel comfortable. Will definitely be booking with him again!

Dalton is so accommodating with our changing busy lives. he's watched extra pets when we were dog sitting for family, he took my dog to the basement during a tornado siren, and has even picked up accidents in the house when we were training a new rescue. He is such a big help to our family and he treats our dogs so well.

dalton goes above and beyond. he has been a huge help with getting our new rescue into a routine and helping us deal with all the messiness of a new pet transition. highly recommend.

Our dog came home happy and tired! Dalton communicated throughout the process.
