“Julia is amazing! she took care of my pup last minute and I felt so safe and comfortable with her! My fur baby was happy and didn’t seem like she missed me at all haha! I recommend using her if you want your pup to have a safe, fun and comfortable time!”

“Angela was very accommodating and took great care of my cats! I would definitely book again and would 100% recommend her services to anyone looking for excellent pet care 😊”

“Angie did a wonderful job taking care of Molly and Sophie. This was our first time using Rover, and we couldn't have felt more confident in their care. Angie gave us daily updates and pics which made us not feel guilty for being gone. We could feel easy about being away and would definitely use her again.”

“Deanna clearly treated our Gary with so much love because he came back to us extremely happy and absolutely exhausted! Makes our hearts so happy that he had such a good week with her and her pets!”

“Kristy is so great and took awesome care of my pup. She sent photos every night and updated me throughout his stay. He seemed like he had a fun time when we picked him up from her place. She also did not get upset when he had a few accidents in his house. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Michelle helped our family when we needed it, and I am super grateful for that. I really appreciate the meet and greet as well. She watched our hound Lucy for a week, and we could tell from the pictures and texts that she was having a very fun vacation from us! We would definitely recommend and use Michelle again!”

“Another flawless visit with Mo! Our sweet boy had tummy troubles and Mo not only kept in great communication with us, but she even slept near him to make sure he was okay. So grateful for Mo and her whole family!”

“Karrie is amazing! Top notch communicator, flexible, caring, accommodating, gives us daily updates, and I trust her completely with our 2-yr old pup. She gave him walks and played with him daily in their fenced-in yard. Will always reach out to her first for future needs ❤️”

“Joy and her husband did a great job taking care of Charlie. My husband and I were in town visiting family for Thanksgiving. Last minute we thought Charlie would do well with a sitter on Rover, and Joy came to the rescue! She did a great job communicating with us. We picked up Charlie tired and calm. We would for sure use her again when we come back in town. Thank you Joy!”

“Nicole is absolutely incredible. She treated our pups like family for sure. Her backyard is an oasis for any dog that likes to run. And her kids are ready willing and able to play with the dogs. Thank you so much for the wonderful care and love you gave to our doggies.”

“Rhiannon and Rachel were great. Our dog had an excellent stay with them. Would recommend them to anyone looking for someone to watch your dog.”

“We are so glad to have found Dana. She has been open, flexible and attentive to Frankie who stayed with Dana for the first time for three weeks. She tore her ACL right before our departure and so arrive for her stay with medications and criteria for healing that certainly added to Frankie’s care. Dana was up to the task and kept us well informed of Frankie’s adjusting and her new friends that she made during her stay. It was a great experience and we would recommend Dana and hope that she would care for Frankie in the future. It was wonderful to have the peace of mind while we were so far away.”

“This was our first time using Rover. We met Crissy and Matt before the stay which helped answer questions and alleviate anxiety. They sent pictures throughout the stay, and I felt like I didn't have to worry so much about my dog and cat since this is a job they do all the time! We would definitely choose Crissy and Matt again in the future as our sitters!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Overland Park
Nadia took wonderful care of Orion. From the very beginning, she was kind, responsible, and attentive. She kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It's clear that she truly loves animals and treats them with kindness and patience. Orion was well cared for and in great hands. I would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter. Thank you so much, Nadia!

This was my first time leaving Lucy with a sitter like this, so I was definitely a little anxious. Melissa made the whole experience really easy and kept me updated while I was gone. Lucy came home happy and well taken care of, and I felt like she was in good hands the whole time. I’d definitely trust Melissa with Lucy again!

This was my first boarding experience and it was great! David took great care of my dog and gave him a lovely little vacation. I can tell my dog had a great time. David took the time to keep me posted on how my dog was doing and sent pictures. I appreciate you David for making this experience so easy and great. We’ll for sure book with you again in the future!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Marie and Carl. Our sweet Henry ended up being sick while he was with them (he was sick with what we believed to be an upset stomach when we dropped him off). After a couple of days he wasn’t getting better and Marie took him to the vet and called me so I could be on the phone during his exam. He ended up with a couple of medications she administered for him during his stay and he fully mended while there. They were SO incredibly sweet to him and did an exceptional job of keeping me informed. We have had them watch Henry before and would never hesitate to recommend them.

Tori and her family were so great with Moose! He is usually very excited to see me when I pick him up from boarding, but he didn’t even notice when I came in to Tori’s house because he clearly adored her and her kiddos. He also definitely got lots of exercise and attention because he came back tuckered out and happy :) I will absolutely reach out to Tori first the next time I need someone to watch Moose.

We had a great experience with Ariel and Alex! They were accommodating, responsible, and easy to work with. They asked thoughtful questions about our pup’s routine and personality. Their dog, Ellie, welcomed Liesl right away, and they were enjoying each other’s company. They have a large, shaded, fenced, and well-maintained backyard. Ariel and Alex are genuine, down-to-earth people who clearly care about the dogs they watch. We’d happily have Liesl stay with them again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
