“Kristy was a lifesaver as my family and I transitioned from overseas to stateside! She was patient and flexible with our boarding date needing to change unexpectedly. The nightly pictures were great and I knew our pups were in amazing care! Thank you!!”

“Kristy took wonderful care of Ollie! She kept me updated and sent lots of pictures, which I really appreciated. It gave me great peace of mind knowing Ollie was in such good hands. Thank you, Kristy!”

“Gina was really great. This was our first time leaving our dog for extended time while out of the country. Gina sent updates 1-2 times a day and always let us know how it was going. We could tell our dog was being well cared for and having fun from the photos/videos. Would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Best experience! Katie and Carmen are very accommodating and easy to work with, plus they’re fun. It’s clear that they really enjoy animals and my quirky little dog sure loves them. After a lengthy stay, he still wasn’t ready to go back home! I am happy to have found a great sitter and will be choosing them every time!”

“Richard did an awesome job with our dog Haylie. She can be very high energy one minute and snuggly the next and Richard was able to handle either situation. He and his wife made Haylie very welcome into their home and she enjoyed playing with their younger dog. I would use Richard again to watch our Haylie.”
“Becky was amazing! She was so sweet to our pup and made us feel super comfortable leaving him at her house. She sent a lot of pictures and was flexible with schedules. I especially loved that she allowed our dog on furniture and didnt require him to be kenneled. We will definitely reach out of Becky again when we have to leave town!!”

“Evelyn was so friendly and communicative during the time leading up to our visit that we were already completely at ease before dropping our dog off. During the time away, Evelyn sent photos and kept up to date with how our girl was doing. Would absolutely book with Evelyn again and recommend to all my friends and family.”

“Bo spent four nights with Lizmarie T. this past week. He appeared to have a great time at her house and with the other doggie buddies. Will definitely use her again in the future! Thanks so much for taking care of our Bo!”

“Shannon is an excellent dog sitter. She has watched our 10 year dog, Ginger, several times now. I am very confident she’s being well looked after and getting all the love and attention she needs. I get daily updates of Ginger going on walks and basking in the sun. Very grateful I don’t have to worry about her when I’m out of town!!”
“Pamela is so warm and kind. From the meet and greet to drop-off and pick-up, I felt completely comfortable and knew I was leaving Leo in good hands. She sent lots of wonderful pictures and always updated me on how everything was going. Her husband is also very loving towards all the pups running around. I would highly recommend Pamela!!!”

“First time ever to leave our 3 yr old golden doodle. Elizabeth was wonderful. She walked her twice daily and sent pics and updates every day. We never worried once during our 4 day trip. Rebooked her immediately for our next one.”

“Derrika and her family are so sweet and amazing. Kiki might like them more than me! She has the best time when she says with Derrika, cannot reccomend more! Derrika will send all the cute pictures and you won't worry in the slightest. Book her immediately!”

“Dana was so fantastic! She watched our energetic pooch for two nights. And sent plenty of pics and updates of our energetic puppy having a blast in her yard and with her dog. During the meet and greet, she asked questions and graciously showed her home inside and out to see where our Boba would be spending her time. Our dog had a blast with her and we definitely will be hiring Dana again”

“Samantha is an excellent dog sitter! She invited Honey and Walter over for a meet and greet a few weeks before the boarding date for everyone to get acquainted. The pups settled right in and enjoyed their time. Samantha checked in regularly and sent pictures to show what they were up to. We will definitely board our dogs with her again!”

“Our Remi had the best time with Sylveena and her family. We received so many pictures, updates and notes throughout the days we were gone, it was so appreciated. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lake Quivira
Pamela was an excellent choice and we will definitely book with her again. We had a unique situation that happened last minute (one of our two dogs had to be kept separate from all other dogs). Pamela took it all in stride and was able to make adjustments to accommodate our special need. She and her husband are true ‘dog people’. We were able to relax and not worry about our fur babies while on an extended vacation.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
