“Lindsey was amazing with our big fur baby! Took lots of pictures and gave us great updates and photos after every single drop-in. We will definitely use her again and recommend her 1000%!”

“My pup, Maxwell, is still running to the front door looking for Susie when he hears a rattle. I think he made a new best friend in her. She showed up on time, gave me an update including pictures every visit, and kept his routines the same as if we were home. I highly recommend Susan and will use her every time she is available.”

“Lilli was excellent! She came on time when she said she would, the communication was fantastic, she built a great rapport with our dog and sent us pictures everyday while we were away. Honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more! Highly recommend.”

“Absolutely love having Samantha take care of our kitties while we are on vacation. It’s nice not having to worry about them and knowing that they are being spoiled makes it easier being away.”

“Emily is very timely and spends time with our dogs and they really seem ti like her. We are feeling very lucky to have finally found someone we can trust in our home and with our dogs when we aren’t there !”

“Diana was a lifesaver for us. We needed to find someone to care for our older dog who can be stand-offish around new people, but Diana got along great with him. She went above and beyond for us and I highly recommend her if you need a sitter.”

“Susan has been great for our dog Trevor. We have used her multiple times and has been great every time. She even was able to pop in on short notice to let him out when we couldn’t get home. 10/10”

“Beth is very nice, punctual and caring. Beth did an amazing job checking on Lea (my cat) while I was out of town. She gave her medicine and then sat and played with her a bit after feeding her too. It was such a relief knowing someone was checking on her and taking care of her. I would definitely re-book with Beth!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and have owned 8 dogs total, with as many as four at one time. I’ve cared for all kinds of breeds and personalities, from Great Danes and German Shepherds to Sheepadoodles, Airedales, and mixed breeds. I’m very comfortable with both large and small dogs, energetic dogs, and puppies. I also have experience around litters of puppies since one of my dogs had puppies multiple times while I was growing up, so I’m used to younger dogs and all the energy that comes with them. I genuinely love spending time with dogs, whether that’s playing, going on walks, giving attention, or just making sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’m very patient, responsible, and will treat your pets like they’re my own. I’m a college student home for break, so I have a very flexible schedule and lots of free time. I just ask for 3 days notice for changes! I have two big dogs at home, so I’m very comfortable with active dogs and daily care routines. I love playing, cuddling, feeding, and keeping pets active and comfortable.
“Mackenzie was so amazing! She stayed right on schedule and made sure to communicate with me each day and even helped me recognize that i incorrectly scheduled her assistance plan and got it all squared away for me. Will definitely be requesting her services again!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. After I moved out of my parents house I have two dogs one is a rescue with ptsd and the other was rescued as a puppy so I am very understanding of many different kinds of behavior in pets. I am currently in college so I have a very free open schedule. The only thing I have to do is homework take care of my dogs and take care of yours. In my own home I feed, take out, and play with my dogs and would love to do the same for other people because I love animals.

About: I grew up with dogs, so once I graduated college, I started dog sitting as a way to get my fix in. In the past several years, I've worked with cocker spaniels, pugs, golden retrievers, border collies, pit bulls, Austrialian cattle dogs, and mutts :) I have experience working with multiple dogs at the same time, as well as dog and people aggressive dogs. I have a house with lots of space for playing, and a fenced in yard so friends can run around my backyard. I am currently not working, so I am very flexible on my availability! My daughter is in part-time daycare and is home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I am free virtually all day Monday/Wednesday/Friday! I have had Rover sitters watch my pet before, so I know how important it is to be respectful of someone else's space. I'll make it a priority to leave your home as I found it!
“Stephanie was so helpful and kind with our two dogs! This was a first time using Rover and Stephanie exceeded all needs and eased our worry. With a senior dog who needs extra care and a younger dog who has much more energy, she was able to accommodate both of our boys to keep them happy and safe!”

About: I LOVE dogs! I've helped take care of dogs since I was 8 years old. I got my own dog when I was 10 and after he passed, my husband and I got our own puppy. Walking, feeding, playing, and bathing dogs is all second-hand to me now. I'm currently working a full-time remote position, so I'm flexible and can work with you, but walks or drop-ins before noon on week days is preferred. I will treat your dog as I treat my own and respect your privacy in your home. Your dog's needs come first and I will make sure they feel loved!
About: Ive had dogs my entire life, and am now step mom to two cats! I have been taking care of my own animals and housesitting/taking care of others for as long as I can remember I work part time for an afterschool program around 2pm, so I have wide availability in the mornings and would be more than happy to walk or check in on your pets! I will always treat your pet with love and care as if they’re my own. Also very important that we have the conversation before hand as to what you prefer and I am happy to oblige.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Craig
Amanda was very sweet with Phoenix and updated me every visit how it was going. She provided lots of play and checked on her food and water for me. I asked her to come back before the end of the visit as she kind and caring and all we could hope for in a sitter.

My kitty Phoenix and I would not be where we are today without Megan and her reliability (I wish I could say I’m lying, try to replace her). Anyone would be so lucky to use this fellow pet lover in their life. Punctual, premeditating your needs and following up to ensure you need nothing different, makes a huge difference. Life be lifin and Megan rolls with the punches and anticipates them. I couldn’t be happier with Megan or miss her more and I know my little kitten would say the same!!!

Angelica was super communicative and offered a meet and greet prior to my last minute request (one of three I reached out to and the only I heard back from). She let me know her availability so I could adjust my needs around her schedule, which was not outside of my request and much appreciated. She took pictures and sent during the visit as well as after and made sure everything I needed was handled before her departure each day. Would have her back again for my only child I mean kitten.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Craig. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
