About: I have years of experience caring for both dogs and cats, including feeding, walking, playtime, basic cleaning, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable. I have grown up around animals and understand how important it is to be patient, gentle, and reliable. I enjoy getting to know each pet’s personality and following the owner’s instructions closely so their routine stays consistent. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine, and I’m looking to help with walks, drop-ins, and pet care when I’m available. I’m dependable, communicate clearly, and will always do my best to keep pet parents updated. My availability may vary by day, but I will only accept bookings that I know I can fully commit to. I always put safety first by following the pet parent’s instructions, keeping dogs secure on walks, watching doors and gates carefully, and paying attention to each pet’s behavior. I will make sure pets have fresh water, food if needed, and a clean, comfortable space. I understand that every pet is different, so I will be patient and respectful of their routine, comfort level, and needs.

“Noelle did such a wonderful job dropping in and taking care of my two mini dachshunds. She had great communication and I loved the sweet pictures! Will absolutely book again and would recommend her to anyone. :)”

“Susan is great. She’s very thorough in knowing all instructions for taking care of our Cats and our home. Very confident that our girls and our home will be well taken care of. Puts my mind at ease when going on a vacation. Our Cat’s are looking forward to Susan’s next visit.”

“She is amazing with my dog! She went above and beyond and took such great care of my old man! I came home from my trip early and he didn't want her to leave. He wanted to go with her! I received tons of pictures and let me know how he was doing and made me feel so much better about him being at home while I was away. She will definitely be watching him every time I'm out of town”

“Lindsey has been amazing! She has a great approach of going on our dogs pace with new people. Especially to our one dog who has anxiety and territorial issues. We will definitely be using her services again in the future! She has sent lots of pictures updates as well and keeping our home safe while we are gone! Thank you for all the communication!”

“Anna is great! She watched our cat for a week, sent us lots of pictures, and even brought some unexpected packages in for us. We will definitely use her again next time we leave town!”

“Diana was a lifesaver for us. We needed to find someone to care for our older dog who can be stand-offish around new people, but Diana got along great with him. She went above and beyond for us and I highly recommend her if you need a sitter.”

“So great. This was the first pet sitter I’d hired and she did amazing with our older cat. She gave her pills and so many cuddles while we were out of town. I also appreciated all the Rover cards, updates, and great communication. When we go out of town again, Maddie will be the first person I contact.”

“Mackenzie was so amazing! She stayed right on schedule and made sure to communicate with me each day and even helped me recognize that i incorrectly scheduled her assistance plan and got it all squared away for me. Will definitely be requesting her services again!”

About: I have been entrusted with the care of many friends and neighbors pets since I was 10 years old. I have my own cat, Pidge, who I trained to go on walks and do tricks. He’s very friendly and people oriented. I just adopted an Aussie puppy and have been adapting her to the world and keeping her mentally stimulated. I am a detail oriented and thorough sitter. If your pet has special quirks or needs I am more than willing to abide! I can go over their training, take them on a walk and prepare special treats or meals. Anything to ensure my visit is as close to their usual routine as possible. Your pets comfort and care is my top priority. My schedule works perfectly for date nights, concerts, and any special events you may have in the evening during the week. Weekends I’m fully available. If you want your dog to get some socialization I’m also willing to orchestrate a play date with my dog (after an initial meet with you present). I would love to check in on your pet or take your dogs (or cats) for a walk! I work full time so I am available on weekdays in the morning, evening and overnight. Weekends all day. I can visit after work and take them on a walk, feed them, let them out to potty, check their food/water, do some training, etc. I am detail oriented and will make sure I follow the specific routine and guidelines you require for your pet. In my own home I have a daily schedule for my puppy’s training in 10min increments to maximize her training and behavioral development, as well as give her my undivided attention in the hours she’s awake. I wouldn’t hesitate to go above and beyond for your pets as well. I care about the well being and safety of all animals and will make sure every pet in your home is treated with respect.
“We had the pleasure of working with Lauren twice over the last month. She is a reliable, communicative sitter. She was patient with my nervous girls at our meet and greet and won them over fairly quickly. She was very helpful and flexible when we needed to add our daughter's dogs to the mix for our second reservation with her. She is kind and thoughtful and was exactly what we needed!”

“This was my first experience using Rover, and Emily was the best! She was very communicative, send updates and pictures, and helped ease any fear or anxiety surrounding leaving my little kitties alone. 10000/10 stars for Emily!!”

“Jennifer did a wonderful job caring for our three dogs - one of which is a senior dog. She is a great communicator and established a strong rapport quickly with our fuzzy family. We strongly recommend her to anyone needing professional, compassionate care for their pets.”

“I had Stephanie drop in to let my dog out while I was at work and she did a lovely job. She sent me great photos to update and went above and beyond what was asked!”

“Krystina was awesome! Booked her last minute, met up right away to walk through our routine and then scheduled for a couple drops ins a day because I had an elderly mom staying who can’t handle the dogs on her own. She sent lots of pictures, lots of play time and booty scratches. They looked so happy! She was so kind to help me with a few minor unrelated pet things here and there on some days when she was at the house. I will definitely book her again and recommend her to anyone I know!”

“Ace and Rosco loved having Michelle visit them daily for a whole week!! Thank you, Susan! My girls had a fantastic time with Susan! You know she was well liked because they would take turns waiting for her arrival by the front door (& these are cats!) They got to play a little with her at every visit. She tended to their needs and arrived every day around the same time. Susan messaged us with any news about the girls and was great about sending many photos during the visit. Both Northstar and Bleu were starving for attention and Susan was able to give them the comforting hand they were looking for. Our cats will definitely look forward to the next time Susan can care for them. Thank you, Susan!!
Thanks so much to Amanda for taking such good care of my two little ones while I was away at MD Anderson this week. It meant a great deal to me to know they were in such caring and capable hands during a stressful time. I could tell they were happy, comfortable, and well-loved when I got home. My family and I truly appreciate her kindness, reliability, and the care she gave our sweeties.

Amanda was very sweet with Phoenix and updated me every visit how it was going. She provided lots of play and checked on her food and water for me. I asked her to come back before the end of the visit as she kind and caring and all we could hope for in a sitter.

Angelica was super communicative and offered a meet and greet prior to my last minute request (one of three I reached out to and the only I heard back from). She let me know her availability so I could adjust my needs around her schedule, which was not outside of my request and much appreciated. She took pictures and sent during the visit as well as after and made sure everything I needed was handled before her departure each day. Would have her back again for my only child I mean kitten.

We found out at the last minute that our spring break accommodation did not allow cats, and Susan saved the day! We always prefer someone who has experience with cats, and Susan’s experience and love for all animals shone through from even the first meeting. When we had questions after coming home, Susan was responsive and helpful.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
