“Since Griffin works from home he was able to provide our pup with the human company he is used to at home. This was important for me. Griffin’s little dog was happy to share space with ours. Easy access to play in the fenced in backyard was especially nice on sunny days. Willy was well-cared for during his stay in Griffin’s home.”

“Iryna was fantastic. Will use her again as often as she is available. Her communication was phenomenal, she treated Midas with so much love like one of her own pet. I really appreciate her, and feel so lucky to Have found her.”

About: I've had pets my whole life, and love all kinds! Through the years, I've had cats and dogs, birds, ferrets, hamsters, rabbits, mice, and hermit crabs as personal pets. I currently have a 10-year-old Bichon Frise, a two-year-old rabbit, and a one-year-old cat. My sweet Siren (cat) passed away last year just shy of her 22nd birthday. I'm available to help other people out by providing a loving, friendly face to walk or visit your pet, or to watch them in our home when you need. I provide gentle care that is tailored to each pet. Some pets need a quiet and calm presence, others want to expend energy and play. I adapt to the needs of the pet so every pet can feel comfortable! I'm a teacher currently on summer break! I have two kids at home, a teenage son and an elementary-age daughter, and if your pet comes to stay with us then he or she can expect plenty of love, pets, and cuddles and as much play as they want! When I come to your home, I make sure your pet has plenty of food and fresh water, as well as clean bedding. I spend time playing, petting, brushing, and/or walking your pet, whatever you and they would like. In our home, we have a fenced-in backyard and a friendly Bichon Frise who loves other dogs and cats. Let me know if your pet requires medication administration or any special instructions, any I am able to accommodate that.
“Lisa was very communicative before and during our dog’s boarding, she sent an update video so our kids could see him playing and we felt at ease with Lisa and leaving our dog for the weekend at her house!”

About: I am the biggest dog lover. I’ve always took care of my neighbors, friends and families fur babies while they're at work or out of town. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I’ve built my schedule around making sure the dogs in my care get plenty of attention and affection throughout the day. From morning potty breaks, lunch potty breaks and playtime in the afternoon walks and evening wind-downs, every part of my day includes time dedicated to their well-being. I’m always available to monitor and care for them, making sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained. In my home, I provide a safe, clean, and dog-friendly environment where pets can relax, play, and feel at ease. I have a secure space for plenty of cozy spots for naps and downtime. I stick to each dog’s routine as closely as possible whether that’s specific feeding times, medication, walks, or crate time to make their stay stress-free and familiar.
“We had an amazing experience with Nicole and her family. She was so responsive, flexible, and communicative through the whole process. She has an amazing back yard with plenty of room for the dogs to run around. We received updates and pictures throughout our dogs’ stay, and it was clear they were completely loved on by her and her family!”

“Sarah and Cyrus did a fabulous job with Finn. Finn is new to me only adopting her in March so I didn’t know how she would be. I got regular updates and photos which made me feel like Finn was in good hands. Thank you guys!!”

“Brittany and her husband were fantastic watching our golden, Leia, while we were away on a Christmas cruise. I got several updates during the week with pictures! When we went to pick Leia up, it was like she was right at home and super comfortable which is very important to us! She’s very attached to my husband and I, so to see her happy and not anxious was amazing. We travel frequently and will definitely use them again.”

“Lucy made sure my dog Penny got lots of love and attention! Pretty sure Penny didn’t even miss me while I was gone. I loved getting picture updates everyday! Would definitely pick Lucy again to take care Penny”

About: I’ve had several dogs growing up and every single friend has dogs and they are my family. Energetic and playful, can happily and easily wear a dog out at the park or playing fetch or runs, access to pools and frequent visitor of Shawnee Dog Park with our Springer, Dottie, who gets along with everyone!! I am the go-to friend to dog sit while friends and family are out of town, and extremely reliable. Married to an equally passionate animal lover who can also spread the love and care. Although I travel for work as a salesman, I am home 85% of most weeks. My travel is offset my wife as a nurse. As a pet owner to 2 cats and a 1 year old Springer Spaniel, pet care is at the forefront of every day and they are family. I have a fenced-in back yard to allow for play time and beautiful weather, easy potty break access. All new laminate flooring with minimal carpet, but clean and well-kept home ready for a family.
“Beth was very attentive to my pets needs. She understands walks and belly rubs. She sent regular texts or emails to ask questions about his adjustment to her home and pet. He loved the daily walks with Cooper. She is very comfortable with spoiled little dogs.”

“We had a wonderful experience! Our young Boston Terrier is full of energy, curiosity, and mischief, and Danielle handled her with so much patience and care. It was clear she was well-loved, exercised, and treated like part of the family while we were away. We received updates and photos that gave us complete peace of mind. We came home to a happy, healthy pup, and we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We highly recommend Danielle and will definitely book with her again!”

“Aaron spent tons of time making sure our husky puppy had all the love he needs! He also stopped by to walk our other two huskies who were staying with their grandparents! We will definitely try to book again with Aaron when we need. Highly recommend.”

“Ashleigh is very professional, kind. & caring. My dog got lots of exercise in her fenced backyard with her two small dogs, close to my dog’s size. She sent me texts and pictures which we appreciated so much! She was also very nurturing and empathetic to my dog who was having a bit of separation anxiety and wouldn’t eat at first. Ashleigh will be our go-to for dog sitting!”

“Molly seems to have enjoyed her time with Evelyn and clearly she enjoyed playing hall with the boys. Molly ate her food, which is a sign she was comfortable and not too lonely.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Olathe
We had an outstanding experience with Sarah & Cyrus and couldn't be happier with the care they provided. From the very beginning, they kept us updated with daily messages and adorable pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. One of our Goldens wasn't feeling well during the stay, and they went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, monitored him closely, and kept us informed every step of the way. It was clear they genuinely cared about our dogs' well-being and treated him like their own. We came home to two happy, well-cared-for pups, and we truly appreciate the kindness, professionalism, and attention they showed throughout the entire stay. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate sitter, and we would absolutely book with them again!

This is the 2nd time we have brought our “babies” to Julie. They absolutely love her!!! And so do we!!! We have no worries at all when leaving them with Julie. She gives us complete peace of mind. I love the daily texts and pictures. I will continue to go to Julie whenever we need a Rover.

My 10 year old labradoodle has never been away from my wife and I for more than 2-3 days. The first day we met Gina he was immediately comfortable with her and the house. We took a 5 day trip to Disney and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch our dog. She kept us updated everyday with videos and pictures of how he was doing and acclimating with the other dogs. Thank you Gina for making our trip stress free knowing our doodle was cared for and in great hands!

Money seems to have had a great time while I was away.Jennifer did an amazing job watching my dog, Money, while I was out on vacation. She kept in contact with me the entire time and sent pictures and updates regularly, which really helped me feel comfortable knowing he was doing well and having a good time. She was also very accommodating and understanding with my late-night pickup after I got back into town, which I really appreciated. When I picked him up, he seemed happy, relaxed, and very well cared for. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches and takes the time to make sure they’re comfortable and treated well. I really appreciated the communication, professionalism, flexibility, and peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter, and I’ll absolutely book with her again in the future! Thank u very much for watching over money I Kno he's a big dog

Lauren & Cannon were awesome dog sitters! They are patient, calm, & kind. My dogs must have picked up on those vibes b/c they RAN into the house, tails wagging, the minute we got there. L&C were great communicators & sent pics & updates over the weekend. Their dog, Wally, was really cool & my dogs loved him. I would 100% recommend these Rovers and will definitely use them again in the future!

We had a wonderful experience with Brigid! She took great care of our dog and sent daily updates with photos, videos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind—especially since our pup can be nervous around new people. It’s clear she genuinely loves the dogs she boards. We came home to a happy pup and would definitely book with her again!

Karen was absolutely wonderful with our dog, China. China had back surgery two years ago and lost her dog-sister last year, so she’s been a bit more sensitive and not very comfortable staying around other dogs. Karen was incredibly understanding and kept China as the only dog in her home, which gave us so much peace of mind. She sent us daily pictures and updates, and we could tell China was relaxed and well cared for the entire time. When we got back, China was happy, healthy, and completely herself — as if we had never left. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Karen.

Sara is a God send! I was really sick and needed someone to care for Macy, and I needed that person to pick her up because I was so sick. Sara was there for me and Macy. She came and got her and kept her for two days while I recovered. I’m very grateful for Sara. ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in KS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
