About: I have been a pet owner for 30 years. My pets have always been like family to me. I enjoy long walks and being outdoors. I stay home and care for my grandson and we spend much of our time outside playing and taking walks. My schedule is very flexible. I have a fenced yard and your pet will be welcome to join me on the couch or wherever it finds to be most comfortable.

About: I have had dogs and cats in my life since I was a small child. I have had puppies and geriatric dogs. I know what they need to stay out of trouble, play, affection, excercise. I have a young dog myself and she loves to play so I have gotten pretty good at it. If you live in the Miami County area of KS, I can easily visit your pet if you have to be away. I can also give medicines or baths if need be. Your beloved pet will be as comfortable as I can make them. In this time which health and safety are primary concerns please know that I will practice CDC guidelines and aseptic hand Hygiene. I can even bring a leash with me for walks. If you will place treats, food or any necessities out where I can access them touch contact will be limited. I will sanitize before interacting with your pet and after leaving. Hopefully this will all be behind us soon.

About: I grew up with two cats in my family household, and I continued to live with cats throughout college. I began fostering kittens in college and currently live with my roommate's cat. Last year, my roommate and I adopted a sweet puppy from the shelter, so I am also experienced in all of the hard work it takes to raise a pup! I love taking our dog on walks, playing with her, and providing snuggles at all times of day. I am also a nurse so I am comfortable giving medication as instructed. I currently work full-time 3 days a week and have 4 days off. On my days off, I am available all day and overnight to provide care for your sweet pet! I live in an apartment in Kansas City. There is easy access outside for your pet to go to the restroom and go on walks. There is an elevator if your pet is not a fan of stairs.

About: I’ve had a dog my whole life! I currently have a therapy dog that works with kids and dog sit for friends and family often! I’m currently available for boarding on weekends. This summer when school is out I’ll be taking daily jobs and providing other services as well. Thanks! I have a large fenced in back yard. I have a friendly, trained therapy dog to play with your dog and keep it company too!

About: I have done dog sitting my whole life. I helped with my neighbor's pets. He was a vet and had 9 dogs and a horse. I am currently laid off from my job at GM so I am available daily for walks or sitting. I prefer the Johnson County area. I have a fenced yard dogs can use for fresh air or go for walks. I live near 2 parks . We can go on multiple walks per day. They can go on day trips with me too.

About: I am a stay-at-home Dad and my wife and I both work from home. We have 4 kids and our our own dog. Luna is a Scottish terrier that is middle age. I have been around dogs of all sizes for most of my life and now Rover for over 6 years! We have a good sized fenced in yard. We would like for your dog to be kid friendly. The kids are super good with our dog! Since I am home full time, I have plenty of availability for what you need. Talk to me about your dog and how we can make his or her stay fun and exciting ! We would love to make more doggy friends! This is my mine priority after taking care of the kids. We let the dogs in and out as much as they want during the day. We follow any instructions that are given for pet care. We treat them as we do our own dog. They are free to roam, go in and out as much as they like, and play with the other doggy friends we have. If we are doing drop-ins, we respect your property and leave it in exactly the same state as we arrived.

About: I had a dog a few years ago when I was young but unfortunately we had to let him go. My love for animals has always been strong and over the years I have regularly cared for friends’ and family’s dogs during that time, including both energetic puppies and gentle senior dogs. While I have limited experience with cats, I’m open to caring for them and excited to learn more if given the opportunity. I’m currently available full-time and have a very flexible schedule. Pet care fits easily into my weekly routine, so I can accommodate a variety of needs, including daily visits, extended stays, or last-minute bookings. About: Ya know that child that has a heart for anything living? That child that wants to nurture even the wooly caterpillar or the slimy toad? Well, that was me and I’m still that child at heart today. If there was a stray within a 5 mile radius of my home, we’d find each other and become family. To this day, if I see an animal in need I cannot turn away. At the age of 11 I began sitting and walking my Aunt Linda’s Pekingese, Toyboy. Toy and Auntie taught me from a very young age the importance of keeping animals safe and respecting their personal boundaries as well. Animals ARE family members and should be treated as such. I’ve spent ample time as a volunteer in local rescue shelters, fostered adoptable dogs in my home and have always had at least two pets of my own consistently (the most at one time was six, and, honestly, it was a little slice of heaven to me). My personal experience as a pet mom has taught me many things. The good, the bad and the ugly. I’ve managed flight risks, diapered seniors, enforced the cone of shame, nursed wounds and stitches, cleaned up many a pet mess (from both ends) and administered medications. If a pet requires it, I’ve likely done it! One of the best and worst parts of being a pet mom is watching our babies grow older. As they age they change and need even more patience and love. There’s a special place in my heart for the older pets and I’m happy to patiently provide anything they need in your absence. A person is only as good as their word, and if you chose me to care for your babies, you’ll have my word that I will treat them as my own and give them the best of care and attention until your return. After retiring early from my career at 48 I’m finding I have more time on my hands than I can fill and I’d love to spend my extra time providing service to animals in need. Animals bring me a level of joy unsurpassed by any other activity I endeavor. Simply put, they make life worth living. They make me laugh, and laughing is truly the best medicine. I understand the importance of pet safety. I’ve had several personal pets that were lifetime “flight risks” (runners) so I know the importance of keeping a watchful eye on them every moment. Walking is a favorite past time and I’d enjoy the company of your fur babies. I’ll be happy to walk pets, check in on them throughout the day as needed, sit with them if they need more attention or administer necessary medications (I will not administer pills to cats). Having had several senior pets and a dog with cancer that I treated holistically for a year, has made me keenly familiar with senior and special needs pet care. Whatever your pet needs, I likely am able and willing to provide.

Secure environments: Make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always properly fastened. • Know emergency contacts: Vet numbers, emergency clinics, etc.

About: I have had all kinds of pets, dogs, cats, goats chickens and so on. I have love walking dogs and love to sit and talk to them. They are family! I work from home. So i can keep your dog or cat during the day. I can walk dogs after 5pm. I have one older rescue dog and 2 older cats. They love company. I do not have small children, i do have an older daughter who loves to help me with pets. I have a fenced yard. dogs will be safe in the yard. Cats will have 2 littler boxes to choose from. If you have special food, i will separate and feed them. my dog/cats are older and very mild mannered. Your babies will get the best of attention.

About: I grew up on a farm and fell in love with animals by being constantly surrounded by them! I started doing Rover in July, 2024 and I am loving it! I am currently living in Gardner, KS and am a physical therapy student at KU medical center. I have an 8 year-old female vizsla who is pictured on my profile, but I often take her to my parents house while I board just to make it easier on myself and your pups! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide your pets with the care that they deserve. I am currently in school Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays but the rest of the days I have completely free! My fairly open schedule makes it easy for me to give your pups lots of care and attention. To me, quality care for an animal means quality time spent with them! This is a skill that comes very naturally to me because I absolutely adore all animals. Making sure that dogs get proper nutrition, physical activity, and loving is very important to me.

About: I became a foster parent for GPSCA at the end of 2020 after adopting my bubbi with them during the summer. I took care of a mom and 3 puppies as my first assignment, all were adopted! <3 A few months after that, I fostered an older dog who had recently had surgery, who also got adopted after a couple of months with me. I love playing with dogs and getting to know all of their different personalities. My bubbi is an old man who loves to just snuggle and play catch with you. He's all about those TREATS too. Recently promoted to a hybrid job, 3 days in person, Mon-Weds. Unlike before where I was WFH. This would take me away for about 8-9 hours on those days. I know it can be scary for a pet to meet someone new. I like to make any dog I'm pet-sitting feel comfortable in its own environment. Whether that means I just sit there until they are comfy with me or abiding my their normal routine, I don't want them to feel out of place.
