About: I became a foster parent for GPSCA at the end of 2020 after adopting my bubbi with them during the summer. I took care of a mom and 3 puppies as my first assignment, all were adopted! <3 A few months after that, I fostered an older dog who had recently had surgery, who also got adopted after a couple of months with me. I love playing with dogs and getting to know all of their different personalities. My bubbi is an old man who loves to just snuggle and play catch with you. He's all about those TREATS too. Recently promoted to a hybrid job, 3 days in person, Mon-Weds. Unlike before where I was WFH. This would take me away for about 8-9 hours on those days. I know it can be scary for a pet to meet someone new. I like to make any dog I'm pet-sitting feel comfortable in its own environment. Whether that means I just sit there until they are comfy with me or abiding my their normal routine, I don't want them to feel out of place.

About: I have had dogs all my life. My whole family loves dogs. I am the proud dog mom to Winston, my shy and super sweet black Labrador, and Laney our rescued Labradoodle. He taught me a lot of responsibility and showed me a lot of love. A few years later my my mom added several dogs to the family - miniature Schnauzers, Standard Schnauzer, and a Beagle mix Having these animals in my life has given me great experience and also taught me unconditional love. My previous dog helped me get through the rough days when I lost my mom to cancer. I have learned to care for seniors, animals requiring medication (orally) and how to work with young animals especially puppies. In your employ my top priority will be your pets happiness. Working for you is my only employment and my focus will be on your dog or cat only. They will get my undivided attention and I hope to spoil them like crazy. Since I have dealt with several puppies I can even try to bring some training tips to your dog if needed. Personally, I do still have my pup Julius but he lives with family out in the country loving his best life in open fields He is 12 now, He is my furry angel in he was my little protector. It is so true that not all angels have wings. I would have kept him but I could not afford all of the vet bills when you take care of a pet properly, luckily I have a family member I love so much that was able to provide that. I have no problem following any regimented food or medication delivered to the animals. Also if I'm in a client's home I would treat it with respect and basically make it look like nothing has changed except your dog has gotten top-notch care. If there's anything specific in the requiring overnight boarding I am more than happy to oblige with that.

About: I have always had a big heart for all dogs. They truly are man’s best friends! I grew up with 2 dogs of my own, Melbee and Reese. I watched and helped care for them in the crazy puppy and teething stages, the feisty teenager stage, all the way up into the little old lady stage. They were the most loving, sweet dogs and I miss them so much. I think every dog deserves all the love, head scratches, and snuggles in the world and would love to be there for your dogs when you are taking a vacation or will be away! I helped both my dogs with training for emotional therapy support and was there for both puppy potty training courses! I do work Monday - Friday from home, but I am available as early in the morning as you need and then I am avalible after work. If your dog is older and able to come stay at my apartment, I can watch them during my workday! I am also free on the weekends to stop by and care for your baby as much as you need! My apartment complex does not have a fenced yard, however, they do have tons of open space for dogs to play in, lots of walking paths, and are considered to be very pet friendly! There is more than enough space for your dog to get all the walkies and play time they need. In your own home, I will make sure to keep everything exactly the way you need, clean up after both the dogs and myself, and keep your home in top notch condition. About: About 50 years ago when I was 12 years old, I met a scruffy dog while I was out playing. It was immediate Love. I led the dog home and proceeded to beg my parents if I could keep the dog. Unfortunately, they said no and they didn't even want it in the house. That night it rained and I stayed out there with the dog while we took harbor under the back deck stairs. I named him Pal. The next day, a friend down the street was allowed to take Pal into their family and he stayed with him until he went to heaven. Pal played a very important role in my life. I realized my passion for animals. Also after that, my family began to appreciate animals becoming a part of our family. Years later after I purchased my own home, I came across another homeless dog. I took him in and with my vet, we nursed him back to health. From that point on, I always had at least 3 dogs in my home and usually a cat too. I have cared for many animals from family members, friends and coworker. In hindsight, I have cared for more than 30 animals in my life. In the last 25 years, I have worked as an in-home provider for children. I was also the primary family caregiver for my mother when she returned home from the assisted living facility after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and needed to be brought home before her passing. I was also primary family caregiver for my father when he moved in with me and my daughter due to complications with diabetes and dementia before his passing. I am divorced and live alone, I am home 95% of the time and I rarely travel. I am available everyday of the week throughout summer because I have to be here for my child care and my animals. I have been doing in-home childcare/preschool for 25+ years. Due to my passion for dogs, I have joined Rover to provide care and boarding for dogs. The family room is now mostly dedicated for the dogs. The floor is padded, they can get on the 3 couches and chairs and there are several beds on the floor for their comfort. They have access to see out the back windows and out the back doorway. I have a large backyard that has been divided with a fence. There is the small yard dedicated for the children and a much larger area for the dogs. It is large enough for running and throwing balls - The back fence in both areas is open enough for the dogs to see and chase the school kids and trucks as they go by. My dogs favor the fire trucks and emergency vehicles that go by which is pretty often since the station is right down the street. They will usually stand out at the fence howling with the alarms as those vehicles go by. I scoop daily and I have the yard sprayed regularly for fleas, ticks and mosquitoes.

About: Ya know that child that has a heart for anything living? That child that wants to nurture even the wooly caterpillar or the slimy toad? Well, that was me and I’m still that child at heart today. If there was a stray within a 5 mile radius of my home, we’d find each other and become family. To this day, if I see an animal in need I cannot turn away. At the age of 11 I began sitting and walking my Aunt Linda’s Pekingese, Toyboy. Toy and Auntie taught me from a very young age the importance of keeping animals safe and respecting their personal boundaries as well. Animals ARE family members and should be treated as such. I’ve spent ample time as a volunteer in local rescue shelters, fostered adoptable dogs in my home and have always had at least two pets of my own consistently (the most at one time was six, and, honestly, it was a little slice of heaven to me). My personal experience as a pet mom has taught me many things. The good, the bad and the ugly. I’ve managed flight risks, diapered seniors, enforced the cone of shame, nursed wounds and stitches, cleaned up many a pet mess (from both ends) and administered medications. If a pet requires it, I’ve likely done it! One of the best and worst parts of being a pet mom is watching our babies grow older. As they age they change and need even more patience and love. There’s a special place in my heart for the older pets and I’m happy to patiently provide anything they need in your absence. A person is only as good as their word, and if you chose me to care for your babies, you’ll have my word that I will treat them as my own and give them the best of care and attention until your return. After retiring early from my career at 48 I’m finding I have more time on my hands than I can fill and I’d love to spend my extra time providing service to animals in need. Animals bring me a level of joy unsurpassed by any other activity I endeavor. Simply put, they make life worth living. They make me laugh, and laughing is truly the best medicine. I understand the importance of pet safety. I’ve had several personal pets that were lifetime “flight risks” (runners) so I know the importance of keeping a watchful eye on them every moment. Walking is a favorite past time and I’d enjoy the company of your fur babies. I’ll be happy to walk pets, check in on them throughout the day as needed, sit with them if they need more attention or administer necessary medications (I will not administer pills to cats). Having had several senior pets and a dog with cancer that I treated holistically for a year, has made me keenly familiar with senior and special needs pet care. Whatever your pet needs, I likely am able and willing to provide.

“Chandra is great with my crazy dog, who apparently is not crazy with Chandra. She is on time and great to work with. Even with last minute walks. The biggest thing is that my dog didn’t bark at Chandra at all when I opened the door. My dog barks at everyone but not Chandra. I think that in itself deserves an A+. We wouldn’t consider going with anyone else.”
About: I have had dogs and cats in my life since I was a small child. I have had puppies and geriatric dogs. I know what they need to stay out of trouble, play, affection, excercise. I have a young dog myself and she loves to play so I have gotten pretty good at it. If you live in the Miami County area of KS, I can easily visit your pet if you have to be away. I can also give medicines or baths if need be. Your beloved pet will be as comfortable as I can make them. In this time which health and safety are primary concerns please know that I will practice CDC guidelines and aseptic hand Hygiene. I can even bring a leash with me for walks. If you will place treats, food or any necessities out where I can access them touch contact will be limited. I will sanitize before interacting with your pet and after leaving. Hopefully this will all be behind us soon.

I know it can be scary for a pet to meet someone new. I like to make any dog I'm pet-sitting feel comfortable in its own environment. Whether that means I just sit there until they are comfy with me or abiding my their normal routine, I don't want them to feel out of place.
About: I am a stay-at-home Dad and my wife and I both work from home and we have four kids. I have been around dogs of all sizes for most of my life and now Rover for over 8 years! We have a good sized fenced in yard. We would like for your dog to be kid friendly. The kids are super good with our dog! Since I am home full time, I have plenty of availability for what you need. Talk to me about your dog and how we can make his or her stay fun and exciting ! We would love to make more doggy friends! This is my mine priority after taking care of the kids. We let the dogs in and out as much as they want during the day. We follow any instructions that are given for pet care. We treat them as we do our own dog. They are free to roam, go in and out as much as they like, and play with the other doggy friends we have. If we are doing drop-ins, we respect your property and leave it in exactly the same state as we arrived.

About: I've been an animal lover and pet owner my entire life and have been in home pet sitting for over 20 years. I will give your pet the attention they deserve on a daily basis. I am happy to accommodate whatever requests you have in order to take care of your pet. I work in Gardner as a cook at a retirement community. I am regularly available for overnights and drop-in visits. I am typically available to make in-home visits whenever you need them. I'm also able to accept last minute reservations for care. While I do own six cats, they are able to be separated from other animals that I am boarding in my home. I have a very large backyard, it is unfenced, so I would keep your pet on a leash or lead while outside. I prefer to watch animals in their own home, for their own peace and security. I am happy to do overnight stays if required. I'm very trustworthy and I am completely comfortable with you having cameras in your home while I am there.
About: I grew up on a farm and fell in love with animals by being constantly surrounded by them! I started doing Rover in July, 2024 and I am loving it! I am currently living in Gardner, KS and am a physical therapy student at KU medical center. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide your pets with the care that they deserve. I am currently in school Tuesdays and Thursdays but the rest of the days I have completely free! My fairly open schedule makes it easy for me to give your pups lots of care and attention. To me, quality care for an animal means quality time spent with them! This is a skill that comes very naturally to me because I absolutely adore all animals. Making sure that dogs get proper nutrition, physical activity, and loving is very important to me.
About: I’ve had a dog my whole life! I currently have a therapy dog that works with kids and dog sit for friends and family often! I’m currently available for boarding on weekends. About: I have had all kinds of pets, dogs, cats, goats chickens and so on. I have love walking dogs and love to sit and talk to them. They are family! I work from home. So i can keep your dog or cat during the day. I can walk dogs after 5pm. I have one older rescue dog and 2 older cats. They love company. I do not have small children, i do have an older daughter who loves to help me with pets. I have a fenced yard. dogs will be safe in the yard. Cats will have 2 littler boxes to choose from. I've walked my dog for 14 years and she still loves it, although our walks are shorter. I care for my daughters three dogs when she is traveling and enjoy walking them as well. Because they work from home, it was comforting to know Murphy wouldn’t be left alone for extended periods of time as he can get anxious. “We just had our beloved husky stay with Nichole and her family for six days. It started with a meet and greet and our dog loved meeting and playing with her three dogs. I received video and picture updates while we were gone and a recap of activities when I picked up our dog. “I would leave Tony any day with Jessica. We had a wonderful experience with Jessica! She was so kind and updated me often on what Tony was doing everyday. Tony has difficulty eating on his own and also he barks whenever he hears any sounds. I'm so happy that she worked with him and addressed them really well to train Tony to not do those. I don't know how many sitters does this but I really felt Jessica took care of our Tony really well and I'm grateful that she took care of Tony.”
