About: Ya know that child that has a heart for anything living? That child that wants to nurture even the wooly caterpillar or the slimy toad? Well, that was me and I’m still that child at heart today. If there was a stray within a 5 mile radius of my home, we’d find each other and become family. To this day, if I see an animal in need I cannot turn away. At the age of 11 I began sitting and walking my Aunt Linda’s Pekingese, Toyboy. Toy and Auntie taught me from a very young age the importance of keeping animals safe and respecting their personal boundaries as well. Animals ARE family members and should be treated as such. I’ve spent ample time as a volunteer in local rescue shelters, fostered adoptable dogs in my home and have always had at least two pets of my own consistently (the most at one time was six, and, honestly, it was a little slice of heaven to me). My personal experience as a pet mom has taught me many things. The good, the bad and the ugly. I’ve managed flight risks, diapered seniors, enforced the cone of shame, nursed wounds and stitches, cleaned up many a pet mess (from both ends) and administered medications. If a pet requires it, I’ve likely done it! One of the best and worst parts of being a pet mom is watching our babies grow older. As they age they change and need even more patience and love. There’s a special place in my heart for the older pets and I’m happy to patiently provide anything they need in your absence. A person is only as good as their word, and if you chose me to care for your babies, you’ll have my word that I will treat them as my own and give them the best of care and attention until your return. After retiring early from my career at 48 I’m finding I have more time on my hands than I can fill and I’d love to spend my extra time providing service to animals in need. Animals bring me a level of joy unsurpassed by any other activity I endeavor. Simply put, they make life worth living. They make me laugh, and laughing is truly the best medicine. I understand the importance of pet safety. I’ve had several personal pets that were lifetime “flight risks” (runners) so I know the importance of keeping a watchful eye on them every moment. Walking is a favorite past time and I’d enjoy the company of your fur babies. I’ll be happy to walk pets, check in on them throughout the day as needed, sit with them if they need more attention or administer necessary medications (I will not administer pills to cats). Having had several senior pets and a dog with cancer that I treated holistically for a year, has made me keenly familiar with senior and special needs pet care. Whatever your pet needs, I likely am able and willing to provide.

About: I adore my fur babies and would love to take care of yours! I am reliable, trustworthy and compassionate. I will treat your babies like my own! Flexible, just ask! 😊 We can definitely work out a time that works for both our schedules. Work Monday through Friday in the mornings and late afternoon. Pets are taken outside consistently in a safe area, made sure to have food and water and spoiled with all the love I have to give!

About: I am a childless human that takes all my maternal instincts out on animals. My animals are treated like my kids and would bring the same kind of energy to your babies. There hasn’t been a time in my life that I haven’t owned some kind of pets. I’m reliable and would love to be a part of your families routine. I work from home and my work day is fairly flexible, specially to families that are in Spring Hill. I usually can make most times work. I am a very trustworthy, punctual, and caring human. I will go above and beyond for your furry children. My presence in your home would be to your requests and routines. I’ve yet to meet an animal that did not feel safe with me.

About: I have had dogs and cats in my life since I was a small child. I have had puppies and geriatric dogs. I know what they need to stay out of trouble, play, affection, excercise. I have a young dog myself and she loves to play so I have gotten pretty good at it. If you live in the Miami County area of KS, I can easily visit your pet if you have to be away. I can also give medicines or baths if need be. Your beloved pet will be as comfortable as I can make them. In this time which health and safety are primary concerns please know that I will practice CDC guidelines and aseptic hand Hygiene. I can even bring a leash with me for walks. If you will place treats, food or any necessities out where I can access them touch contact will be limited. I will sanitize before interacting with your pet and after leaving. Hopefully this will all be behind us soon.

About: I have over a year of hands-on experience working in an animal shelter and previously worked at a dog daycare facility for a year. In both settings, I cared for dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments, including shy, high-energy, and special-needs pets. I have also volunteered with animals for 3 years and grew up in a home with both dogs and cats. I currently have 2 cats and a mini pig, so I understand the importance of routine, enrichment, and individualized care. I will follow all rules given to me and treat every dog and cat with respect. I respect boundaries and give treats when needed. I'm comfortable on a leash, kenneling, and just spending time.

About: I've had pets my whole life, large and small dogs, and cats. I also have 100+ hrs walking dogs at the local shelter. Making sure they're happy and well taken care of genuinely makes me happy. I'm currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! Right now i'm available anytime except between 10 and 2 p.m. on m-f. I have a large field behind my house, my yard is not fenced. I always have my dog on a leash when outside and do not kennel her when I'm gone. I do have a kennel if it's needed.

About: I love being outside connecting with Nature, especially animals. The passion for nature connection started when I was 10 years old in Oregon at a Nature camp. Ever since then I have had pets that I have taken care of. My favorite thing to do is be outside with them. I started a Non profit that is based in Nature Connection called Blue River Forest Experience in Overland Park, KS. Part of the Non profit is Animal Therapy. About: I have a very open and flexible schedule. I have 2 small children and 3 pets of my own so I am an expert and being patient and seeing to the needs of others. I am currently available to care for pets between the hours of 9am- 7pm. I am available weekdays and weekends as well as the occasional overnight. I would love to have dogs over to my home but unfortunately my family dog is not a fan of having playmates. Any care will need to be in your home for the safety of your pets. My own pets are spoiled and loved the same as every other member of my family. My clients are an extension of my family so trust that your pets are in loving hands with me!

About: I've been an animal lover and pet owner my entire life and have been in home pet sitting for over 20 years. I will give your pet the attention they deserve on a daily basis. I am happy to accommodate whatever requests you have in order to take care of your pet. I work in Gardner as a cook at a retirement community. I am regularly available for overnights and drop-in visits. I am typically available to make in-home visits whenever you need them. I'm also able to accept last minute reservations for care. While I do own six cats, they are able to be separated from other animals that I am boarding in my home. I have a very large backyard, it is unfenced, so I would keep your pet on a leash or lead while outside. I prefer to watch animals in their own home, for their own peace and security. I am happy to do overnight stays if required. I'm very trustworthy and I am completely comfortable with you having cameras in your home while I am there.

About: I grew up on a farm and fell in love with animals by being constantly surrounded by them! I started doing Rover in July, 2024 and I am loving it! I am currently living in Gardner, KS and am a physical therapy student at KU medical center. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide your pets with the care that they deserve. I am currently in school Tuesdays and Thursdays but the rest of the days I have completely free! My fairly open schedule makes it easy for me to give your pups lots of care and attention. To me, quality care for an animal means quality time spent with them! This is a skill that comes very naturally to me because I absolutely adore all animals. About: I’m all about keeping dogs happy, engaged, and well cared for not just watched. I love mixing in physical activity and mental enrichment like walks, play, training basics, and enrichment games so they’re fulfilled while you’re away. I’ve worked with puppies, senior dogs, and shelter dogs, so I’m comfortable with all kinds of personalities. Anything from shy and anxious to high energy and playful. I’m patient, observant, and always adjust to what each dog needs. I also have hands on experience with basic grooming like bathing, and I’m continuing to build those skills with my own dog. Every dog I care for gets treated like my own, with a focus on safety, comfort, and making sure they feel genuinely happy and understood. I have my own dog, so pet care is already a big and consistent part of my daily life. My evenings especially revolve around him with walks, play, enrichment, and just making sure he’s happy and cared for in the way I describe in my profile. I also work a full time 8am–4pm job, but I prioritize pet care outside of those hours and make sure I have the time and energy to fully focus on the pets I’m caring for. I’ve primarily only house sat for family and friends, and I always follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to keep things low stress and familiar for them. I focus on maintaining consistency with feeding, walks, and daily habits so pets feel secure in their environment. Any adjustments I make are minimal and situational for example, changing walk timing or length depending on weather or the pet’s comfort. My goal is always to keep pets relaxed, comfortable, and in their normal rhythm while their owners are away.

About: I became a foster parent for GPSCA at the end of 2020 after adopting my bubbi with them during the summer. I took care of a mom and 3 puppies as my first assignment, all were adopted! <3 A few months after that, I fostered an older dog who had recently had surgery, who also got adopted after a couple of months with me. I love playing with dogs and getting to know all of their different personalities. My bubbi is an old man who loves to just snuggle and play catch with you. He's all about those TREATS too. Recently promoted to a hybrid job, 3 days in person, Mon-Weds. Unlike before where I was WFH. This would take me away for about 8-9 hours on those days. I know it can be scary for a pet to meet someone new. I like to make any dog I'm pet-sitting feel comfortable in its own environment. Whether that means I just sit there until they are comfy with me or abiding my their normal routine, I don't want them to feel out of place.

About: I have had all kinds of pets, dogs, cats, goats chickens and so on. I have love walking dogs and love to sit and talk to them. They are family! I work from home. So i can keep your dog or cat during the day. I can walk dogs after 5pm. I have one older rescue dog and 2 older cats. They love company. I do not have small children, i do have an older daughter who loves to help me with pets. I have a fenced yard. dogs will be safe in the yard. Cats will have 2 littler boxes to choose from. If you have special food, i will separate and feed them. my dog/cats are older and very mild mannered. Your babies will get the best of attention.

About: I have had a dog all my life. Professionally in shelter industry for 12 years with all training courses. I am a certified dog trainer in Goodpup, certified in small animal vet assistant. I specialize in behavior modification, puppy training w and socialization and play activity. I am available 7 days a week. Day care is available with doggy play dates. My pet has been around cats and loves other dogs. I live in an apartment with dog park and trails. My dog loves all dogs and playing with other dogs. I also have a large kennel and expert in house training.

About: I have taken care of all sorts of animals from bunnies to horses. I grew up raising and showing pigs, goats, rabbits and longhorns. I have ample experience with house hold pets. The past two years I have worked with local animal rescues to find forever homes for dogs. About: I’ve have taken care of animals my whole life. Both of my parents are veterinarians! I’m able to give medications & care for many animals! I also recently worked as an apprentice at a dog training facility & can help with basic obedience. I am currently working in the Kansas City area with plenty of free time to visit or stay with your pets! I will be available most weekends & weekdays. About: I have been watching friends and families dogs for almost 10 years now, as well as the experience taking care of my own dogs. I have lots of experience with reactive dogs as well as non reactive dogs, so I am well aware on how to handle different personalities and can keep your animals safe. I work from home twice a week, but on the other days I would be gone for 8-9 hours. I can come back on my lunch break depending on the distance (I work on the plaza). I am a responsible and knowledgeable sitter & a giant dog lover! I also love to be active so walks/activities would be no problem for me. I work Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM. I work from home typically Mondays and Thursday but this can be moved around according to scheduling. I have time on my lunch break to come home, as long as it is in reasonable distance as I work on the Plaza. I have school on Wednesday nights but other than that I am available to care for your pets after work as needed! With having pets of my own, I can understand the schedules and routines that any different animal might need. I am flexible and understanding and will always put forth my best care for your pets!
