“Karrie did a great job taking care of my 11 year old miniature golden doodle. She had excellent communication skills, sent great pictures and updates, and followed all of our feeding instructions. Our dog Murphy seemed to have an amazing time with her. It was our longest trip away from Murphy so I was definitely on edge but Karrie did a great job. My only critique is that I didn’t realize Karrie was dog sitting for multiple dogs (up to 9 others) during our booking with her until after I had already finalized our booking and did a meet/greet. She was forthcoming after the fact but I do wish she would’ve brought this up beforehand as Murphy can be a bit timid around other dogs. But overall it was a great experience and I’m happy we used Karrie for our week away.”

It's obvious that she places a lot of importance on making sure the dogs felt comfortable with her prior to taking care of them and she went out of her way to help Lyla continue making progress in feeling safe. She handled my big, exuberant boys with ease and genuine affection while also being gentle and quiet with Lyla. During our meet and greet, she was more than happy to learn about the quirks of each dog and when asked, provided genuine and thoughtful suggestions about fearful rescues, including specific things she would do during her home visit. She was prompt on her timing and provided updates and pictures of her time with the dogs, accommodating a last-minute request for a medication administration. About: I’m all about keeping dogs happy, engaged, and well cared for not just watched. I love mixing in physical activity and mental enrichment like walks, play, training basics, and enrichment games so they’re fulfilled while you’re away. I have helped a friends family with their cattle and pigs, but am not as experienced with livestock outside chickens. About: I became a foster parent for GPSCA at the end of 2020 after adopting my bubbi with them during the summer. I took care of a mom and 3 puppies as my first assignment, all were adopted! <3 A few months after that, I fostered an older dog who had recently had surgery, who also got adopted after a couple of months with me. I love playing with dogs and getting to know all of their different personalities. My bubbi is an old man who loves to just snuggle and play catch with you. He's all about those TREATS too. Recently promoted to a hybrid job, 3 days in person, Mon-Weds. Unlike before where I was WFH. This would take me away for about 8-9 hours on those days. I know it can be scary for a pet to meet someone new. I like to make any dog I'm pet-sitting feel comfortable in its own environment. About: My pet care experience began when I was a young child. My parents have always had at least five pets that I helped train and take care of while growing up. After we moved to a farm, they adopted more pets (dogs, cats, chickens, etc.); which allowed me to have more responsibilities and experiences taking care of animals. In college, I adopted my dog and had her for over 13 years. Sadly, she passed from old age and I have not adopted another pet since. I currently have a full-time job, but it does not involve animals. About: Ya know that child that has a heart for anything living? That child that wants to nurture even the wooly caterpillar or the slimy toad? Well, that was me and I’m still that child at heart today. If there was a stray within a 5 mile radius of my home, we’d find each other and become family. To this day, if I see an animal in need I cannot turn away. At the age of 11 I began sitting and walking my Aunt Linda’s Pekingese, Toyboy. Toy and Auntie taught me from a very young age the importance of keeping animals safe and respecting their personal boundaries as well. Animals ARE family members and should be treated as such. I’ve spent ample time as a volunteer in local rescue shelters, fostered adoptable dogs in my home and have always had at least two pets of my own consistently (the most at one time was six, and, honestly, it was a little slice of heaven to me). My personal experience as a pet mom has taught me many things. The good, the bad and the ugly. I’ve managed flight risks, diapered seniors, enforced the cone of shame, nursed wounds and stitches, cleaned up many a pet mess (from both ends) and administered medications. If a pet requires it, I’ve likely done it! One of the best and worst parts of being a pet mom is watching our babies grow older. As they age they change and need even more patience and love. There’s a special place in my heart for the older pets and I’m happy to patiently provide anything they need in your absence. A person is only as good as their word, and if you chose me to care for your babies, you’ll have my word that I will treat them as my own and give them the best of care and attention until your return. After retiring early from my career at 48 I’m finding I have more time on my hands than I can fill and I’d love to spend my extra time providing service to animals in need. Animals bring me a level of joy unsurpassed by any other activity I endeavor. Simply put, they make life worth living. They make me laugh, and laughing is truly the best medicine. I understand the importance of pet safety. I’ve had several personal pets that were lifetime “flight risks” (runners) so I know the importance of keeping a watchful eye on them every moment. Walking is a favorite past time and I’d enjoy the company of your fur babies. I’ll be happy to walk pets, check in on them throughout the day as needed, sit with them if they need more attention or administer necessary medications (I will not administer pills to cats). Having had several senior pets and a dog with cancer that I treated holistically for a year, has made me keenly familiar with senior and special needs pet care. Whatever your pet needs, I likely am able and willing to provide.

They also have two human sisters who they are very overprotective of (they’re 8 years old and 1 year old). My oldest dachshund had surgery for IVDD a few years ago so I am familiar with administering oral medication and providing needed crate rest. About: I've had pets my whole life, large and small dogs, and cats. I also have 100+ hrs walking dogs at the local shelter. Making sure they're happy and well taken care of genuinely makes me happy. I have a large field behind my house, my yard is not fenced. I always have my dog on a leash when outside and do not kennel her when I'm gone. I do have a kennel if it's needed.

I have helped a friends family with their cattle and pigs, but am not as experienced with livestock outside chickens. I work from home on weekdays so I’m always around, and my husband is home at night and on weekends. Our home is dog friendly and revolves around our dog, Millie. I’m self employed and I work from home, so I’m able to give your pets lots of attention and care. They will get plenty of potty breaks, time outside, and walks around the neighborhood and to the park.
