About: I have 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As a full-time veterinary technician, I work with pets every day and have experience recognizing signs of illness, administering medications, and helping animals feel safe and comfortable. I'm comfortable caring for: • Puppies and kittens • Senior pets • Large and small breeds • Anxious or shy pets • High-energy dogs • Pets with medical conditions • Pets recovering from hospitalization and surgery (following veterinarian instructions) Whether we're going for a walk, playing, sticking to a medication schedule, or simply spending time together, I make sure every pet receives individualized care and plenty of love. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. My ultimate goal is to attend veterinary school, so getting exposure to helping owners is one of my biggest passions. I treat every pet like they're family while giving you peace of mind that they're in knowledgeable, caring hands. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I work as a veterinary technician and genuinely enjoy spending my free time with animals. I'm available after work on weekdays and have greater flexibility on my days off for walks and drop-in visits. I make it a priority to provide reliable, attentive care that keeps pets comfortable and maintains their usual routine. When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and any special care their pet may need. I'm comfortable recognizing changes in a pet's behavior or health and can provide medication administration if needed according to your veterinarian's instructions. I always prioritize your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being while respecting your home and keeping everything clean and tidy! During each visit, I'll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and enrichment based on their personality and energy level. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to build trust with both pets and their owners through reliable, compassionate care.
“Mateo is absolutely incredible with my cat Max. He is so kind to him and Max has warmed up to him so fast. He takes excellent care of him and Maxie follows him around like they have known each other for years. Mateo is amazing!”

About: What sets me apart is my experience working in HR at a veterinary hospital and my love of all different types of animals. I am familiar with animal care environments and understand the importance of safety, proper handling, and recognizing an animal’s needs. I have had animals my entire life including dogs, fish, birds, frogs, and more, so caring for different species comes naturally to me. Whether it is puppies who need structure or senior pets who need patience and gentler care, I bring a calm, confident, and attentive approach to every animal I care for. My toy poodle Prissy, who is featured in my profile picture, will forever have my heart. She recently passed away from cancer, and losing her has been incredibly difficult. I am not ready to adopt another dog yet, but pet sitting allows me to stay connected to animals and continue giving them the love and attention they deserve. When a pet is in my care, my focus is entirely on them. I make sure they get meals, walks, playtime, and cuddles every day, while paying close attention to their habits and personality. Even on busy days, I keep things consistent so pets feel safe, relaxed, and happy. I care for pets in my home with love, attention, and a safe, comfortable environment. I stick to each pet’s routine, from meals and walks to playtime and special needs, while keeping a close eye on their behavior. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a chill adult dog, or a wise senior, I adapt my care to make every pet feel happy, secure, and truly loved. 🐶

About: I’ve been a nanny since I was 15 years old and every family that i have been with and babysit for has had animals. I’ve kept some for a week and others a couple day or even just to come let them out and play. I’ve had dogs and cats growing up and am very comfortable. I cannot wait to take care of yours :) I am a full time worker but i have a break and can come home in the afternoon to let them out and take them for a little and play A little. I would be home by 5 so a 9-5 with a break. I live in an apartment but they have an area for dogs to play and use the restroom and it’s gated! Also, i live by a dog park.
About: I've taken care of multiple types of dogs from an early age. I also used to have a dog named Gary (my brother named him from SpongeBob) when I was younger, but my mom couldn't afford him anymore. During school breaks, pet care fits very easily into my routine because I have a much more open and flexible schedule. I’m able to prioritize regular feedings, walks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day without time constraints from classes. This allows me to give pets plenty of attention, maintain their routines, and be fully present while caring for them. I think that it's important to spend quality time with pets, whether that's going on a walk or spending time at the park. And also just following the pet owner's instructions as well as understanding their routine.
“LeeAnn was very caring and attentive to my senior cat and her needs, and took the time to get to know her and her personality. Throughout the stay, she sent me updates and pictures which gave me peace of mind that my cat was happy and well-cared for.”

“Jacqueline took great care of our cats for three days last weekend, they seemed happy and relaxed when we returned. She sent updates and nice pictures each day, and used the Rover app well so we always knew when she'd been in to visit. We would use Jacqueline's services again and would recommend her to others.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Houston
I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Juliana for taking care of my fur babies while I was away. I’ve never used Rover before and was extremely nervous about leaving my babies. I met up with Julianna at the last minute and she met my babies. They instantly fell in love with her and I felt at ease. Juliana updated me daily on my boys and how there were doing and was super communicative and treated them Like her own. I would recommend her over and over again. If ever I have to travel, Juliana will be my first option to take care of my fur babies.
Mary Allyn was fantastic! She was so good with my dog Franklin! My schedule changes frequently and she was so accommodating and flexible. She was great at communicating and the pictures she sent me were so cute! I could tell my dog was super happy and comfortable with her.

Chloe went so far above and beyond. I am elated to have had the opportunity to meet and work with her. She paid exceptional mind to my cat, plants, house, and even deep cleaned things around the house on multiple occasions. I could not have felt more at ease leaving my cat under her care. I will absolutely be calling her next time I require a sitter. Thanks so so much Chloe!!!

Julie has been taking care of our cat Baba for several years now. We trust her completely and she is extremely reliable and very good to our cat. She leaves amazingly detailed reviews and is diligent about all aspects of his care. Highly recommend booking Julie for pet sitting!!

We had a great experience with De Leasia! She took care of our pups for a week, was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. You can tell she’s great with pets, our huskies took to her immediately. Would highly recommend and definitely plan to use her again in the future.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
