“Everything went very smoothly when Renee stopped by to check in on Jax the first time. She's scheduled once per week and Jax will be looking forward to that. Good photos too.”
“Idalia was attentive, punctual, and kind! It’s so hard letting someone else take care of your babies but when it’s necessary, it’s nice to know there are good people out there who care and are willing to help. I know my pup was in good hands 🫶🏼 thank you for everything!”

“Jazlyne was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure that my pet was taken care of in my absence. My pet took to her really quickly which is unusual for him. I would book again.”

About: What sets me apart is my experience working in HR at a veterinary hospital and my love of all different types of animals. I am familiar with animal care environments and understand the importance of safety, proper handling, and recognizing an animal’s needs. I have had animals my entire life including dogs, fish, birds, frogs, and more, so caring for different species comes naturally to me. Whether it is puppies who need structure or senior pets who need patience and gentler care, I bring a calm, confident, and attentive approach to every animal I care for. My toy poodle Prissy, who is featured in my profile picture, will forever have my heart. She recently passed away from cancer, and losing her has been incredibly difficult. I am not ready to adopt another dog yet, but pet sitting allows me to stay connected to animals and continue giving them the love and attention they deserve. When a pet is in my care, my focus is entirely on them. I make sure they get meals, walks, playtime, and cuddles every day, while paying close attention to their habits and personality. Even on busy days, I keep things consistent so pets feel safe, relaxed, and happy. I care for pets in my home with love, attention, and a safe, comfortable environment. I stick to each pet’s routine, from meals and walks to playtime and special needs, while keeping a close eye on their behavior. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a chill adult dog, or a wise senior, I adapt my care to make every pet feel happy, secure, and truly loved. 🐶

“Joni was an amazing pet sitter! She checked in on my cats over Christmas and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was incredibly kind, very communicative, and sent lots of great photos that gave me total peace of mind while I was away. It was clear she genuinely cared about my cats and made sure they were happy and well looked after. I would absolutely book with Joni again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful sitter.”

“This is my first time booking w Rover. Anna was our first choice. We met up prior to her dog sitting so she could meet the crew. The dogs liked her right of the bat. She sent me photos and kept me at ease if I had any mommy concerns. She communicated well. We would book Anna again. Thanks Anna.”

About: Hello pet parents! I am new to Rover. But rest assured your fur baby is in great hands! I’ve had animals for as long as I can remember, I have two fur babies who have been with me for well over a decade, both are rescue pups! They have been with me through everything and I dream of living on an open land where I can save more sweet animals! Not just dogs and cats, but all kinds! I work part time and at the moment not in class. So I have plenty of time in between work to keep busy with caring for your baby! Pet safety is my main priority! The more information the better to ensure and safe and happy experience for both the pet and myself. I want them to be excited to have me and get to know me as well.
“Mandilyn was amazing! Having someone like Mandi was a big sigh of relief. We really loved that she was also a cat lover and really bonded with them. Great communication as well. Looking forward to booking with her again! Highly recommended.”

“LeeAnn was very caring and attentive to my senior cat and her needs, and took the time to get to know her and her personality. Throughout the stay, she sent me updates and pictures which gave me peace of mind that my cat was happy and well-cared for.”
“We hired Delilah to dogsit, and we organized a meet and greet, which went well. We ended up cancelling our booking due to outside circumstances, but we then rehired Delilah for a different occasion to pay a house visit and let our dogs out. Delilah is great at timely and clear communication. Will hire again.”

About: I’m a speech-language pathologist by trade, while babysitting/animal sitting/dog walking as a side hustle! Taking care of people and animals is my specialty, and something I take pride in. I’ve cared for dogs and cats for 20 years total. I have my own dogs and cats at home, and understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for them when I’m not home. I would love to help take care of your fur baby when you need the assistance. I currently work full time from 7:00 AM-4:45 PM Monday-Fridays, but can drop in for visits after work hours. I am free during all hours on the weekends. On major holidays, I should be free as well. Once your instructions are provided, I will drive over and provide whatever assistance is asked of (going potty, feeding, cleaning the litter box, playing with them, etc.).

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Houston
Leah was awesome. She was very professional, polite, and kind when we met, and she was great with my dog. The rover card updates were thorough and comforting as pet owner away/traveling. I could tell my dog had a great weekend with her! I look forward to booking with her again!

I cannot begin to express my gratitude to Juliana for taking care of my fur babies while I was away. I’ve never used Rover before and was extremely nervous about leaving my babies. I met up with Julianna at the last minute and she met my babies. They instantly fell in love with her and I felt at ease. Juliana updated me daily on my boys and how there were doing and was super communicative and treated them Like her own. I would recommend her over and over again. If ever I have to travel, Juliana will be my first option to take care of my fur babies.
Mary Allyn was fantastic! She was so good with my dog Franklin! My schedule changes frequently and she was so accommodating and flexible. She was great at communicating and the pictures she sent me were so cute! I could tell my dog was super happy and comfortable with her.

We had a great experience with De Leasia! She took care of our pups for a week, was very communicative and sent lots of pictures. You can tell she’s great with pets, our huskies took to her immediately. Would highly recommend and definitely plan to use her again in the future.

Bailee was so sweet and great with our dog. We also have a cat in the home and though we did not book her for help with the cat, she was so kind and patient with our cat and sent photos of both of them to make us feel great while we were away. She handled changes well and I am so thankful for her professionalism. Thank you again, Bailee.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
