About: I have 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities. As a full-time veterinary technician, I work with pets every day and have experience recognizing signs of illness, administering medications, and helping animals feel safe and comfortable. I'm comfortable caring for: • Puppies and kittens • Senior pets • Large and small breeds • Anxious or shy pets • High-energy dogs • Pets with medical conditions • Pets recovering from hospitalization and surgery (following veterinarian instructions) Whether we're going for a walk, playing, sticking to a medication schedule, or simply spending time together, I make sure every pet receives individualized care and plenty of love. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you always know how your pet is doing. My ultimate goal is to attend veterinary school, so getting exposure to helping owners is one of my biggest passions. I treat every pet like they're family while giving you peace of mind that they're in knowledgeable, caring hands. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because I work as a veterinary technician and genuinely enjoy spending my free time with animals. I'm available after work on weekdays and have greater flexibility on my days off for walks and drop-in visits. I make it a priority to provide reliable, attentive care that keeps pets comfortable and maintains their usual routine. When caring for pets in their own home, my goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I carefully follow each owner's instructions regarding feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications, and any special care their pet may need. I'm comfortable recognizing changes in a pet's behavior or health and can provide medication administration if needed according to your veterinarian's instructions. I always prioritize your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being while respecting your home and keeping everything clean and tidy! During each visit, I'll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and enrichment based on their personality and energy level. I'll also send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and strive to build trust with both pets and their owners through reliable, compassionate care.
About: I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages. I’ve raised newborn cats and bottle fed them. I love caring for animals and would love to engage with them with games, toys and snacks! I’m currently a student at university, part time. Therefore, I have plenty of time to take care of pets in the mornings and afternoons. I’m available during weekends as well. I have 2 cats who are friendly to other animals. I will pay attention to your furry friend and keep an eye on them at all times. While also playing with them and keeping them entertained.
“Everything went very smoothly when Renee stopped by to check in on Jax the first time. She's scheduled once per week and Jax will be looking forward to that. Good photos too.”
“Idalia was attentive, punctual, and kind! It’s so hard letting someone else take care of your babies but when it’s necessary, it’s nice to know there are good people out there who care and are willing to help. I know my pup was in good hands 🫶🏼 thank you for everything!”

About: Why Choose Me? 🛡️ Your pet’s safety is my top priority. While Rover provides its own protections for bookings made through their platform, I also carry my own professional pet care insurance for an additional layer of peace of mind. I take the responsibility of caring for your furry family members seriously, and proof of insurance is available upon request. 🏡 I'm home almost all day, so your pup gets plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and playtime instead of being left alone for hours. 🐾 Whether your dog loves adventures or prefers relaxing on the couch, I'm happy to match their energy. I love taking active pups to nearby parks and on walks, while couch potatoes are just as welcome for snuggles and naps. 📸 I send lots of photo and video updates, so you'll always know how your furry friend is doing and can feel connected while you're away. 🐶 I have one sweet, gentle pug who gets along with just about every dog. If your pup enjoys canine company, they're welcome to play together. If they'd rather have their own space, I’m able to keep them completely separated to make sure everyone stays comfortable and stress-free. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. My goal is to make them feel like they're on their own little vacation while giving you complete peace of mind. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. Because I am home most of the day, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and feeding schedules throughout the day rather than fitting pet care around a busy schedule. Let me know any special request your pet has, and I’ll follow your instructions to the dot. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities.

“Brittaney accepted my last minute request over the New Year holiday week. She navigated my downtown apartment building’s complicated parking, door concierge, and keyless system with ease and communicated quickly. I would recommend her to anyone. She also took super cute pics of my elderly man cat.”

About: My family and I have rescued and rehomed cats and dogs over the past 15 years, so I have plenty of experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments. Calm cats, sassy cats, pitbulls, chihuahuas, elderly, you name it! I also have four cats of my own, one of which is 15 years old! I have been pet sitting here and there for about 12 years for friends/neighbors. I would love to spend time with furbabies as I earn money to fund college! :) I’m currently working part-time at a cafe, and only attend in person class on saturdays, so I have plenty of free time on my hands. I am always out of work or school by 3pm, and i always have at least 3 days completely free a week. I will always keep a close eye on the pets when I am around, and pay attention to their body language to ensure that I will notice if anything is out of the ordinary.

“Anna is awesome. She’s always arriving for Franklin’s schedules walks within the times discussed. You can tell immediately that she loves animals and is always communicating when she’s on premises. She’s great!”

The location of apartment is near a bayou, so PLENTY of scenery & space to walk your dog & have fun!
“Beth has been incredible! She’s really made this a smooth process for us and, most importantly, our puppy as we return to work. Our pup loves her and is extremely well taken care of!!”

“Kayla is the best! 10/10 would recommend! Nice, fast responses, on time, flexible when I needed a last minute change to my reservation. Will definitely book her again, she made sure Beau was taken care of and happy just like I would.”

“Annie was very responsive, thoughtful and efficient. I appreciated the extra care, pictures, updates and communication for the drop ins with our Yorkie. It was our first time using Rover for care while we were on a trip and Annie exceeded our expectations.”

“Gari, where have you been lo these many years? We needed your dependability, efficiency, groundedness and genuine caring for our pets a long time ago! But you came along at just the right moment and set our minds at ease while we were away for almost 2 weeks. Gari collected mail and sent daily personal texts and updates through Rover. They won over our shy indoor cats with gentle attentiveness and vibed with our outdoor cats to gain their trust. We hope Gari will be available for our next extended vacation. We think they and our kitties will take up right where they left off. Thank you again, Gari!”

“Kris is an amazing pet sitter and always takes great care of our cat! She even goes above and beyond to feed our stray outdoor kitty which is so greatly appreciated. She’s truly the best and I would highly recommend her to everyone!”

Bailee was so sweet and great with our dog. We also have a cat in the home and though we did not book her for help with the cat, she was so kind and patient with our cat and sent photos of both of them to make us feel great while we were away. She handled changes well and I am so thankful for her professionalism. Thank you again, Bailee.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Houston with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
