Instinctively, I’ve always been a caretaker. During my long career in the medical field I tended to humans. But my fascination with befriending and nurturing creatures who don’t necessarily walk on two legs began as a child, hiding “pet caterpillars” in a shoebox under my bed. I spent my childhood with a chihuahua, a pug, and a hamster that had a surprise litter! I have traveled domestically and internationally as a petsitter, as well as provided my services for neighbors, friends and family. Having owned two finicky Biewer Yorkies (along with my petsitting experiences) I’ve mastered strict routines, custom diets, grooming, administering medications, attending to special needs, first aid, and quickly identifying symptoms requiring a vet call or visit. I have also completed dog walking certification with Rover. My approach to petsitting blends the thrill of a best friend with the trust of a reliable guardian. Whether your pup is a exuberant social butterfly or needs a calm, patient touch, I tailor my care to fit their unique personality. I know that each dog’s “perfect day” is different—some need long, exciting walks to feel their best, while others prefer short strolls and lots of cuddles. I’m great at reading body language, respecting their personal comfort zones, and making even the most anxious pups feel relaxed. From keeping walking schedules spot-on to time-sensitive medications, I handle every part of their routine with focused dedication. I am meticulous in my role as your dog’s temporary human, providing detailed updates that capture their adventures, mood, and those tail-wagging moments that make you feel like you’re right there with us. Your trust and your dog’s happiness are my top priorities. While I can’t promise to be as amazing as their favorite human (you’ve set a high standard!), I can guarantee professional, loving care that will have them excited for our next visit together.
