About: I am 19 years old. I have two dogs of my own, a pit bull and a Chihuahua. I know how to handle dogs very well big and small. Walking dogs is just a hobby I like to do since I already have to. i have a cat as well, I take cats as well if that’s something you are interested in. If your dog does not like other dogs, please be sure to let me know before I walk your dog. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know. Thank you. During the week I do have college, i go to San Jac which is T/Th at 8:35-10:35am. Other than that I’m free to watch your pets ;) I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment when caring for pets at client’s home. I ensure all spaces are pet-proofed, free of hazards, and suited to their specific needs. I follow feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any special care instructions to maintain consistency. Building trust is key, so I use positive reinforcement, gentle handling, and patience to help pets feel secure. At a client’s, I create an stress-free, loving atmosphere where pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for.

“Our initial meet up made me feel grate about having Desiree check in on my gal! She covered all the basis when going over instructions, even things I didn't think of. Definitely would rebook!”

About: I’ve owned pets all my life but have more formal pet sitting experience with colleagues dating back 10 years beginning in undergrad. I have cared for young puppies as well as senior dogs and am able to handle a clear medication regimen. I have lots of patience and am excited to meet your fur baby! I currently am finishing my dissertation so I have a very flexible schedule. I am able to move my writing and work to fit my needs. All I ask is that I received prior notice of cancellation within 24 hours. I am not currently able to board any pets in my home but I am able to stop by, talk pets on walks, and spend some time with them depending on the individual needs. I understand how important it is for my safety and for the pet’s safety to respect their space, pace, and disposition.
“Thank you Talia for the last minute booking for my sweet Leia girl! I decided last minute to not bring her on a trip with me and Talia was able to pop in and let her out for a few days with not as much notice as I would like. Thank you for taking such good care of her! ❤️❤️❤️”

About: I worked at a pet rescue for 2 1/2 years, as well as taking care of my two adorable kitties, bearded dragon, hamster, tarantula, and three fish tanks. At the rescue I took care of cats, dogs, horses, and a mule doing basic care like feeding and cleaning up after them as well as giving lots of love and attention. I also have experience giving medications and baths to both cats and dogs. I work full-time at Petco as an Animal Care Supervisor! I do work 5 days a week, full 8-9 hour days. I can get off as late as 9pm. I would of course be with your baby all night and any time I'm not at work! I prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency. I tailor my care based on each pet’s routine, personality, and needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely to keep the pet’s routine as normal as possible. This includes feeding, walks, medications, litter or yard clean-up, and of course, quality time! I also respect the client’s home, ensuring it's left clean and secure after each visit.
“Tatyana did a drop in visit for us and was great. We have a high energy puppy and she was calm and kind. She sent pics of the visit which we loved. I will use her again.”

About: I've been caring for many different animals my whole life, along with picking up any stray to care for them too. I love caring for pets with any kind of temperament, including high energy breeds and special needs. I currently own three mutts and one cat. I've dog sat for many people and I love to make them feel cared for and safe. I also love cats, and am equipped to care for them aswell. 💞🐶🐱 I have a mostly open schedule, and i'm always free in the mornings. I can make time for any pets and owners, and my home is open at all hours to house any pets in need. I have a large fenced in yard, with many toys to play with your pets all day! I have an open house for pets to relax and enjoy themselves if needed, equipped with lots of food, water, and treats. for cats, I own a cat tree with many toys to please your cat, along with many treats. I will never take my eye off your pet, and make sure they are fulfilled and happy!!

About: Ever since I raised my dogs, I learned that they are more than just pets, they are family. It is all about patience and understanding their needs. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and have 3 dogs where 2 of them understand Spanish while my Frenchie is bilingual. I speak to my dogs in a gentle matter as they have the tendency to listen to positive tones. If pets need medication, I make sure to follow instructions as their health comes first. I currently have a dog who is a senior and on medication. I always make sure my babies are well and can tell when something is wrong. I work on a hybrid schedule where I’m in the office 3 times a week and can choose what days to go. If I am in care of a pet, I will work around my schedule to make sure I am present for them when I am at home. I do not go out at night and will be home especially when taking care of someone. I have a fenced backyard. I have 2 outside dogs (a chihuahua and a pitbull) and 1 inside dog (a Frenchie) who all have been neutered and spayed. Your pet will stay indoors for most of the time and my Frenchie will be excited to have someone to play with. Plenty of dog toys will be available. My outside dogs are senior dogs and will mostly ignore your pet as they do with my Frenchie.

“Melissa is the best always. She takes the CUTEST pictures, and the cats really love her. They’re scaredy cats and don’t always love new people but they were quick to warm to Melissa.”

About: I’ve spent over 7 years pet sitting, but honestly, I’ve been a pet person my whole life. Having raised multiple pets of my own, I know they aren’t just 'animals', they’re family members with their own quirks and personalities. I’m an active person who loves staying fit, so I’m always happy to take your dogs on long walks to keep them healthy and tuckered out. I am also very mindful when it comes to the details; whether it’s a strict medication schedule or a specific way their food needs to be prepared, I’ve handled it all before and take those responsibilities seriously. Beyond the basics, I have a really soft spot for pets who might be a little anxious or stressed when their humans are away. I’m naturally gentle and patient, so I’m happy to take things at their pace until they feel safe and comfortable. I also make it a point to keep your home tidy and send you plenty of photo updates so you can see exactly how much fun (or how many naps!) your best friend is having while you’re gone I currently work a flexible part-time schedule, which honestly works out perfectly for pet sitting. It gives me plenty of time to focus on your pets during the day. I’m usually wide open for boarding on the weekends and available every weekday after 2pm for walks or drop-ins. Your pet definitely won't be lacking for attention or playtime while they're with me! When I’m staying in a client’s home, I’m a big 'leave it better than I found it' kind of person. I take the trust you’re putting in me seriously, so I’m super diligent about double-checking locks, following alarm codes, and respecting your space. My goal is to keep your pet’s routine exactly the same so they don't get stressed; plus, I’ll make sure the house stays tidy and secure while you’re away.
“Emma was able to care for my two cats with twice daily drop in visits while I was gone. Very communicative and gave lots of photo updates. No issues were had and she was very sweet to bring in a package at the door for us. Will use Emma again for our next trip out! Thanks again!”

“Rubí es una persona muy responsable y confiable. Siempre acata órdenes, limpia muy bien y hace exactamente lo que le indico. Me da mucha tranquilidad dejarle mi casa y a mis gatitos porque se nota que ama a los animales. Además, siempre me manda fotos y me mantiene al tanto, lo cual me da muchísima confianza. La recomiendo totalmente!!”

About: I've met nearly any kind of dog and cat you can imagine, with personalities and needs of all sorts. My family has always relied on me to take care of and tend to many of their pets. What makes them so inclined to choose me comes from my extensive knowledge and expertise on animal health and body language. Every pet has something to say, and I always do my best to make an animal feel safe, seen, and understood. Animal behavior (more specifically dogs and cats) is one of my special interests, so I am always learning new ways to understand and bond with furry friends. You can always count on me to give your pet the absolute happiest and comforting experience that I can offer, no matter their circumstances—I've even tended to partially-paralyzed pets, so no matter the situation, I will always put your pet first and make sure they know I'm there to help. We are super happy and so thankful with Esmeralda, she has been so great withAthena and has gone overboard with extra attention to Athena and our Home. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
