“Andrea and her family were great. My dog loved his stay there! I rebooked with Andrea and as soon as we pulled up to the house he got excited and ran straight up to the door and inside. He's very comfortable there which helped put my mind at ease going forward. 5/5”

“Randy was absolutely incredible with RYKER! I was going through a lot and needed someone I could truly trust, and Randy exceeded every expectation. RYKER isn’t an easy pup—he’s epileptic, highly anxious, and has major trust issues—but Randy handled him with such patience, care, and compassion. It honestly felt like a miracle to find someone who not only understood RYKER’s needs but also created a calm, safe space for him to feel secure. Randy was communicative, gentle, and completely unshaken by any challenges. 10/10—would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Randy, for being exactly who RYKER (and I) needed.”

“Ashlyn came to our rescue for Thanksgiving!!! She accepted our dog with only food as we were in a rush to head out of town and sent us pictures and updates the entire time!! We will definitely look for her again next time we need someone”

“Erica was such a great care taker! We had been looking for a new Rover as our last family has had to step away. We could not be happier with the level of attention Erica gave Amina during her stay. We got photo and video updates and her communication was amazing! Amina came home happy and rested. We are so relieved to have a new Rover that we can depend on. Thank you Erica!”

“Silvia was very friendly, flexible and communicative. She sent pictures of my pup everyday and was forthcoming with any questions and concerns. I would definitely hire her again!”

“Angela took wonderful care of Bailey. She treated Bailey like a member of her household. Lots of pictures and videos assured us she was contented and following her normal routine. Your dog will feel right at home here.”

“We are so glad that we found Leon through Rover. Our pet dog, Arlo, stayed with Leon for a month while we were out of town. Leon sent us updates everyday with pictures. Arlo was treated as a member of their family, just like we treat Arlo. He got a lot of love and care from Leon and family. Arlo seemed like he enjoyed the stay. Thank you so much, Leon and family!”

“My wife and I cannot say enough good things about our experience boarding our dog, Elton, with Remy. We had a weeklong trip out of state that we waited way too long to find accommodations for Elton for. Our previous sitter, who we had used for several trips, moved out of state so we were back to square one. I contacted several promising sitters on Rover, but unfortunately they were all either booked or unavailable for the timeframe we needed. I came across Remy's profile and contacted her, and she was very accommodating in setting up a last minute (several days before trip) meet and greet with our dog and hers to make sure they got along. Our boy is sweet and loving, but he has had some reactivity issues with other dogs sometimes and we were of course concerned he would not get along with Remy's pups. Well, he didn't, at least immediately. To be clear, the issue was NOT AT ALL due to Remy's pups, it was our Elton who was being less than polite (not necessarily aggressive, but definitely stand-offish). We were a bit dismayed thinking that it would not work out...but Remy was not phased. She told us to go ahead and book, which, without any other options, we did. We dropped Elton off at Remy's place a few days later, fully expecting that we'd soon receive a message from Remy saying she had to get our emergency contact to pick Elton up because he was just not getting along with the other dogs. That was not the case at all. It took a day or two, but Remy (and her pups!) worked with Elton to get him comfortable on his own time and in short order he had joined the pack! We got photos and videos regularly of Elton playing and running and just having an absolute blast. To summarize, here are some things we LOVE about Remy: - She clearly knows what she is doing. This isn't some kind of hobby for her, she is very professional and this is clearly a labor of love for her and a reflection of the deep-seated passion she has for animals. Some people would be put off on boarding a dog that didn't immediately conform to "good dog" behavioral standards; Remy's experience, dedication, and patience allowed our Elton to get comfortable and warm up to her pups on his schedule. - She kept us updated. We received regular texts with pics and videos of Elton playing, lounging, cuddling, etc. It gave us a TON of piece of mind. - She doesn't just "board" your dog, she makes them part of the family. We never got the impression that Elton was just another dog she was sitting, he might as well have been her own dog with the way she treated him. It was clear from the pictures and videos and seeing how he behaved with her that he felt loved and safe in their home. I could go on and on, but hopefully you get the point. Remy truly is THE BEST. She is at the very TOP of the list for Elton whenever we go out of town (and we'll definitely have to arrange some playdates so he can see his new friends!); my only reservation in leaving this glowing review is that it may increase the odds she is booked up when we need her! :) TL;DR: Don't hesitate to book with Remy. You and your pooch will be thankful you did.”

“This was my first time using Leslie and she was beyond fantastic! She really took the time to understand each of my dogs needs and took great care of them both. She sent lots of photos and updates and I could tell they both felt comfortable and right at home. Knowing they were well taken care of while I was gone was a huge relief and Poptart and Wally would be so excited to go back!”

“Maria is an absolute angel and an amazing dog sitter! This is the second time my Maddie has stayed with her and I couldn’t say enough great things about her and her family. She is kind and constantly sends updates and pictures of how my dog is doing! She goes above and beyond and treats my dog like one of her own. I recommend her as a dog sitter over anyone else I’ve ever used. Trust me, you will not be disappointed! She’s truly the best!”

“Kelsie is a pleasure to work with. She looked after our dog for a month. She provided pics and videos and stayed in frequent contact throughout our time away. I would 100% work with Kelsie again and happily recommend her to anyone else. 10/10.”

“We really appreciated Estephania's openness for a last minute boarding! We got photos / videos for updates and was patient with our timid girl. Thank you for caring for Lexi! She came back very happy!”

“Ashley was a wonderful sitter who sent a ton of photos and videos - we didn’t worry a single second because she was so communicative and responded right away! Ashley asked great questions about our pup, followed our instructions perfectly, and took excellent care of our baby. She was wonderful!”

“Rhianna was a great boarder for my puppy. Took great pictures and I could tell immediately my puppy loved her. Plus she was super accommodating when I had a delayed flight for my pickup. She didn’t make me feel rushed at all and was super nice about it. 5 stars!!”
“Gracie was amazing. So sweet and very welcoming. She kept us updated every step of the way and sent plenty of picture's and videos just so we can feel comfortable and not so worried cause this was the first time of us ever leaving our dog. But Gracie definitely took the anxiety away. Will definitely be using her again in the future. 😊”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
