“Zee did a wonderful job with our dog, Kyle. She made him feel so comfortable that he ate the first day he was there (which is rare for our dog). Zee sent photos and videos during his stay and kept in great communication. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a great dog sitter! Thank you again, Zee!”

“Really appreciated Liz and the way she updated us daily on our dogs stay with her. Our dog really seemed to enjoy his stay. Will definitely be looking for Liz for future stays. Highly recommend.”

“Benji LOVED staying with Thi and Jace! From the meet and greet, my pup felt comfortable with the two of them (and he usually takes a while to warm up). He seemed to get a lot of love and attention throughout his stay - cuddling and playing inside and outside walking/playing at the park. They sent me tons of quality photos/videos at 3 times throughout the day, which I made me feel good and confirmed how great of a time Benji was having. They are also very responsible - Thi thoroughly reviewed instructions and asked my permission to take Benji to her dad's house so he could enjoy a large backyard. Their home is a nice, clean, cozy apartment, and they have a few very fuzzy large dog beds that Benji liked. I would recommend 100%! Thank you!”

“Kathryn was wonderful with our dog while we were on vacation! Communication was great—she sent daily updates and lots of videos, which we really appreciated. Our dog has some separation anxiety and she was incredibly patient and caring with him. It was clear he was being well looked after. We’d absolutely book with her again.”

“She was wonderful with our fur baby. She kept me updated about him and sent pictures/videos along with the updates. Will use her again in the future. My fur baby loved her.”

“My dog Palmer had the best time with Destinee and her son. They did an excellent job keeping me posted on how things were going and sent pictures throughout his stay. I can’t thank them enough for taking such good care of my baby!”

“We have used Ashley many times over the past 2 years to board our Goldendoodle! She is kind, quick to respond, flexible, and and takes great care of our fur baby!”

“This is our first time to use Rover.com and boy do we feel blessed! This family treated our dogs better than we do I think! lol It was a pleasure coming home and knowing that our dogs were happy and well cared for while we were gone and not languishing in some hot kennel. We received regular updates with adorable pictures of our doggie family being cared for and loved on by this family. Highly recommended and we will definitely become repeat customers! Thanks again to Synamon, Christopher and the whole family.”

“Rosario was great! Shows easy to communicate with and very easy going. She sent a picture to update me on how he was doing. My dog can be a little timid when going to new places, but when I dropped him off, he couldn't wait to go play. Coordinating to pick him up was seamless and easy to do (since my return schedule was dependent on a lot of different variables). She even provided him with some extra treats to go home with (which he LOVES). I definitely plan to ask Rosario to watch Ollie the next time I need to!”
“Veronica was amazing with my pup! She constantly sent pictures reassuring me he was well taken care of! I absolutely loved the communication and her love for dogs. Highly recommended ❤️”

“Luke had a great time! We got lots of pictures and Marranda even made a Mothers Day card out of Luke’s paw prints. It was so cute & extra sweet. Looking forward to our next stay.”

“Timothy was great. I needed a last monute booking and booked the day of and he was able to accommodate my dog for me for 4 nights. He sent me pictures and updates and Maverick had a great time.”

“Martine and Martin took such wonderful care of our sweet Gracie for 11 days. They were very caring and knew we wanted our girl to be cared and treated with the same love we gave her. Even Martin’s sweet mother who was visiting gave our girl sweet cuddles. I would never hesitate using Martine again.”

“Dana is amazing. Scooter had a great time. They were very attentive and sent me lots of pictures. She also understood and worked around my busy work schedule. I give her 5 stars!”

“Paola did such a great job caring for our Golden, Winston! From the moment he met her at the meet and greet, he loved her, and her son greeted Winston with hugs, which my doggie loves. I truly appreciated the photos she sent throughout Winston’s stay and how she proactively kept us informed about how he was doing at different points during the day. I could tell he was so happy, relaxed and loved. I’m looking forward to bringing him back to her warm, caring home soon!”

“Michelle was amazing. It was only the second time that we have boarded our dog and he was so well taken care of. Michelle sent photos and updates twice a day and our boy was relaxed and happy. She has a welcoming home for dogs and a lovely back yard for outside time. We would definitely use again and highly recommend.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Friendswood
We have used Amy several times for the last couple years - her and her family are the best we’ve ever had watch our dogs! They are super communicative and flexible with dynamic schedules when traveling in and out of town. Stop looking around and send her a request right now!

Ashley was so sweet and genuinely loving with my two big dogs! Her yard was perfect for them to run around and play with her dog, and I could tell they felt so much more at ease there than at a regular boarding facility. She has excellent communication and very easy to work with. We can’t wait to board with Ashley and her family again for future trips!

Very kind with us and our pup. She made sure he was as comfortable as possible in her home. My dog is a shy dog at first and because of this, she was willing to do a meet n greet before his first stay! Ariella is very kind and friendly and really listens to the pet parents about what their specific animal needs. With my dog, he wears shoes outside because his paws burn and get scratched easily and she heard our concerns about it and followed through with putting his shoes on. She sent daily updated and asked before she did anything with him, including meeting her own animals. I definitely recommend Ariella for your pet’s care!

Justo was super flexible with his schedule, to take our last minute booking and make changes to the drop off time when needed. We received plenty of videos and pictures of our Great Pyrenees during his time there. Really appreciated the responsive communications too!

With this being my first time using Rover I’m not going to lie, I was nervous to leave my girl Rose with a stranger for a whole week. Erika was amazing! Very reliable, sent me pictures and videos daily, took my Rose on walks and even went the extra mile to keep her calm and gave her extra attention during a bad storm. I will definitely use her again for future pet care. Thank you again ❤️🥰

Heather and her family were incredibly kind, friendly and took great care of Luna. Their house was beautiful, very clean, organized, and had a very nice size backyard for a high energy dog like Luna (Husky mix). Thank you for being so accommodating and caring for Luna. We greatly appreciate and highly recommend.

Edward was amazing, our dog loved him and didn’t want to leave! We had just adopted our dog and were nervous about leaving him so soon but we could not have found a better place for him to go. Edward clearly loves dogs and his own are very sweet and extremely well trained. He made sure all the dogs got along before keeping our dog and we could tell our dog would be treated as part of the family during his stay. From the start, he was very responsive, professional, and friendly. He sent us updates and pictures throughout the stay. We will definitely be using Edward every time we need to board our dog from now on!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
