“Our girl loves it at Zee’s house! The big yard is her absolute favorite. We feel confident going on vacations knowing our pup is safe, happy and cared for like she’s right at home. We receive constant comforting updates and can’t wait to book again!”

“Sherri took very good care of our little Lily. We received lots of photos and short notes about Lily each day, and Lily seemed to be in very good spirits when we picked her up. In fact, after saying an excited hello, Lily ran back off with the other pups and we had to call her back to leave :) She adjusted well when we got her home too - a sure sign that she had enjoyed a good experience during her stay at Sherri’s.”

“Emily was wonderful! She was able to handle my senior boy's medications without issue, and sent updates so that I knew he was doing well while I was out of town.”

“Absolutely loved our experience with Alexis and Sean. They made me my dog happy and me very happy with daily reports and pictures of his activities. I would not hesitate to use or recommend them.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 16. I have experience watching dogs and cats as well as rabbits and chickens. I have watched young puppies all the way up to dogs that are 15. I have experience taking care of pets that need medications or medical attention from surgery. I work full time, but have a very flexible schedule. I am able to take your furry friend on walks, car rides, and to the park. I am available all days of the week to pet sitting as long as I have about a week’s notice of the days I am needed. I do live at an apartment, but we have a dog park and a ton of trails near me to walk. If you choose to have me come drop in at your house, I am very trustworthy and reliable. I have references from not only past pet sitting but also from clients whose houses I clean. I am okay with pets on my furniture and bed, but if they prefer to be in a crate I can make sure to accommodate.
“Mia was very flexible and took care of my two animals, treating them as royalty. I had to extend my request a bit longer and she was able to accommodate. Received multiple updates during their stay as well as pictures, so I could definitely tell they were in great hands. Hands down, one of the best pet sitters I have dealt with since using this platform. THANK YOU, Mia B!!!”

About: With 25 years of experience raising four beloved dogs of my own, I have a working understanding of canine behavior, routines, and unique personalities. Over the years, I have also provided dedicated dog-sitting for multiple breeds, ensuring they receive the same level of care, playtime, and love I give my own 35-pound pup. Because our household schedule is fully synchronized, someone is always home at our house to provide constant supervision, companionship, and peace of mind for you. Your dog will never be left lonely and will safely step right into a warm, attentive, and reliable family environment. I currently work part-time so I have plenty of time to watch after your dog. When I am at work my husband is home to assist me. I have a fenced yard and my own dog to keep your dog company. I also have a crate to house either dog if preferred.
“Martine was such a pleasure to work with. She has a beautiful home in a beautiful safe area with an enclosed backyard that my dog really appreciated. She had no problem administering medicine that my dog needs and they seem to have a great time together and enjoyed little walks around the neighborhood. I highly recommend Martine as a trusted pet sitter who has a warm heart for pets”

“Alyssa was such a great sitter for my dogs. They took good care of my puppies and made sure to give their medication. They gave them baths and provided daily updates with pictures and videos. Highly recommended.”

“Mariah took excellent care of my baby Charlie! She was very responsive and would periodically send me updates and pictures. He even made a friend while under her care. I really appreciate the care and attention given to Charlie. I would definitely book her again. And because they watched him during the Christmas holiday he received a gift. That was very nice and thoughtful. Amazing service!”

“Kristin took great care of our fur baby while we were out of town! I was a little nervous sending her somewhere else, but once I met Kristin I knew she was in good hands!”

“My fur babies had a wonderful time at Danas. They got to spend most their time outside running and playing with all of her babies and she sent me photos through their whole stay. I didn't worry at all with them their. I actually felt bad for taking them away because they had so much fun.”

“Abby went above and beyond in caring for our two golden retrievers, Barbara and Timothy. She embraced their chaos and high energy from the moment they walked in the door and we felt fully confident leaving them with her knowing they would have an amazing time. Abby loved them like her own and took exceptional care of them - she even bathed them when they played too hard in some mud! Our pups were happy, healthy, and tired from walks and playtime when we picked them up - we could not recommmend Abby enough and can't wait for our next visit with her!”

“Kathryn was wonderful with our dog while we were on vacation! Communication was great—she sent daily updates and lots of videos, which we really appreciated. Our dog has some separation anxiety and she was incredibly patient and caring with him. It was clear he was being well looked after. We’d absolutely book with her again.”

“My pup enjoyed her time with William so much that she was reluctant to leave. William regularly sent me photos and texts to keep me apprised of my pup's activities. I was happy to see her enjoying her stay.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
