“This was the 2nd time I’ve had my dog stay with Mariam and her family. It was an easy choice and a no brainer due to the care she’s given the first time. I had the peace of mind that my pup was in good hands. I highly recommend booking your dog with her!”

“I had an excellent experience with Yoanna. She did a wonderful job taking care of Odie while I was away and kept me updated with pictures and videos the entire time, which brought me a lot of peace of mind. Odie even made friends with her dog, which was such a bonus! Her home was clean, welcoming, and clearly a comfortable environment for animals. She communicated consistently and professionally throughout the whole process. I highly recommend her.”

“Hector is so wonderful with Ollie. Hector makes Ollie feel very calm and welcomed when staying with him. Hector is attentive and makes sure Ollie is always ok. Thank you Hector!”

“Mia was very flexible and took care of my two animals, treating them as royalty. I had to extend my request a bit longer and she was able to accommodate. Received multiple updates during their stay as well as pictures, so I could definitely tell they were in great hands. Hands down, one of the best pet sitters I have dealt with since using this platform. THANK YOU, Mia B!!!”

“We couldn't have been happier with Abby's care for our dog. As other reviews have mentioned, she was not only incredibly loving and attentive to our dog, she also did an amazing job of keeping us informed of how our dog was doing. We have an older Doberman that has lived with us her entire life, in the same house, and sometimes requires a little more attention and care (meds, e.g.) so we were a little nervous about leaving her somewhere else for a few days but that nervousness was completely unwarranted. She really did treat our dog as if she was her own. We couldn't imagine leaving our dog with anyone other than Abby going forward and obviously we highly recommend using her to anyone else looking for a a reliable, loving pet sitter.”

“Oh my goodness, can't say enough great things about Autumn! Highly recommend her! She communicated very well, and frequently, even went above and beyond in so many ways. You won't be sorry to hire her!”

“It all went very smoothly, and great communication. Although I didn't need it, he does offer drop-off/pick-up as well! They came back (ready to be home, obviously), cared for and exhausted after playing with his pup for a few days! I will use him again!”

“Jaclynn, her hubby and children really came through for us when we needed last minute boarding for our fur babies! We traveled to the Galveston area and our boarding plans fell through; !leaving us scrambling to find care for them. Every pet boarding facility within 25 miles of our hotel was booked! Wow! Needless to say, we were feeling quite anxious and without many options. We remembered advertisements about Rover.com and that’s where we found Jackynn who graciously came to our rescue! We contacted her around 9:00AM on a Saturday and our babies, Joy and Oreo, we’re settled in by 11:00AM. We felt comfortable and trusted Jaclynn from the moment we met her. She put all of us, pups included, at ease and we are so grateful we found her! We know our pups were happy to see us after a few days but they definitely did not enjoyed their home away from home too. Thanks a million and many Blessings to you and your beautiful family Jaclynn!!”

“It was so nice to see Dana again after a couple of year hiatus! I appreciate that she made herself available to take care of my dog even though she was busy with other things at that time. My dog loves her and that goes a long way with us! Thank you, Dana!”

About: With 25 years of experience raising four beloved dogs of my own, I have a working understanding of canine behavior, routines, and unique personalities. Over the years, I have also provided dedicated dog-sitting for multiple breeds, ensuring they receive the same level of care, playtime, and love I give my own 35-pound pup. Because our household schedule is fully synchronized, someone is always home at our house to provide constant supervision, companionship, and peace of mind for you. Your dog will never be left lonely and will safely step right into a warm, attentive, and reliable family environment. I currently work part-time so I have plenty of time to watch after your dog. When I am at work my husband is home to assist me. I have a fenced yard and my own dog to keep your dog company. I also have a crate to house either dog if preferred.
“Kristin was amazing!! She watched our dog, and sent us lots of videos and pictures when we were gone. She has a big backyard for your dogs to run around in, and she has dogs that were friends with my dog! I used to be stressed about finding somewhere for my dog to stay when we went out of town, but Kristin made the experience totally stress free. She is amazing!”

“I can’t recommend Mariah enough for her exceptional pet-sitting services! She took incredible care of my baby dog, Hugo, and I could instantly tell from the updates and photos she sent that he was in great hands. Mariah went above and beyond to ensure Hugo felt comfortable, loved, and well-cared for in my absence. Not only did she follow all my instructions to the letter, but she also provided Hugo with extra playtime, attention, and making sure he was happy and content the entire time. It’s clear she has a natural affinity for animals and a genuine passion for their well-being. I came home to a happy and relaxed pup, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and attentive pet-sitter, Mariah is absolutely the one to choose!”

“Leaving Frida with someone new always makes me a bit nervous, but Ruby and her partner gave me peace of mind from the very first minute. They were super attentive, caring, and you can instantly tell how much they love animals. Frida came home happy. Thank you so much for taking such great care of her!”

“Martine was such a pleasure to work with. She has a beautiful home in a beautiful safe area with an enclosed backyard that my dog really appreciated. She had no problem administering medicine that my dog needs and they seem to have a great time together and enjoyed little walks around the neighborhood. I highly recommend Martine as a trusted pet sitter who has a warm heart for pets”

“I would give Heather 10 stars if it were possible! We’ve boarded our dog on several occasions and it’s always been a tough experience because she doesn’t eat very well and has seemed depressed while we’re gone. Our experience with Heather was the complete opposite; our dog was content and happy the entire time, something we didn’t think was possible while boarding 😅. Heather was very communicative and sent photos and videos of our dog every day while we were away. Her facility is also very clean and well kept, and feels warm and inviting as opposed to the large dog crates we’re accustomed to with other boarders. Heather obviously loves dogs and we were so grateful that she took such good care of our dog while we were gone for 10 days. I can’t recommend her and her services highly enough, this was hand down the BEST boarding experience we and our dog have ever had.”

She was amazing! My sweet boy warmed up to her instantly which rarely ever happens. She sent plenty of updates and pictures/videos through out the stay. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
