“Hannah has taken such great care of our dog and two cats each time we have been away. She never shied away from our high anxiety dog and ornery cats so I have all the faith she can handle just about anything! Will absolutely continue booking with her.”

“Eva was really great with my sweet piranha. she id a little reactive and nervous with new people, but she immediately took to Eva. We had some communication issues in the beginning, but after some chatting, we were able to resolve everything and she was even able to extend her time with piranha at the end of the booking when my flight was canceled so her flexibility is unmatched. I will 100% book with her again!”

About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was a teenager. From 20 year old chihuahuas, nursing day old kittens, and 80lb king German shepherds.. I’ve volunteered at a few animal shelters. Taking care of animals is a passion of mine. My work schedule is 7-4, Monday- Friday and have evenings and weekends free. Over the weekends I am available all day and evening. For week days I can visit your furry baby any time after 4! I have a big fenced in yard and have two loving and playful dogs that enjoy making friends. I have 2 cats that are incredibly friendly but also leave my dogs alone. I have crates available and my neighborhood has sidewalks that are perfect for dog walking.
“Kari was amazing! She took care of my.dog like she was her own dog. And my home! I got daily updates and received numerous photos daily of my girl while we were gone. Will definitely check for Karis availability for our next trip!”

“Sarah was very accommodating and took great care of the dogs while we were away. She communicated throughout her visit and sent us some pics! Very grateful for a good experience with Sarah!”

About: Hi! I'm Caroline but I go by Maggie! I ‘m a chiropractic student with a flexible schedule who loves spending time with animals. I've always been a huge dog lover, and I know how important it is to find someone you trust to care for your pets while you're away. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I'll make sure they receive the attention and care they deserve. I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and happy to follow any feeding schedules, medication instructions, or special care requests to keep your pet comfortable and happy. I'll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! As a chiropractic doctoral student, my schedule gives me flexibility throughout the week, allowing me to provide dependable care and plenty of attention to your pets. Whether your dog needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or overnight care, I'll do my best to accommodate your schedule. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I'll make every effort to keep them on their normal routine and provide regular updates while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special instructions so they receive individualized care. I'm attentive, responsible, and committed to creating a calm, positive environment where your pet feels safe and loved. I'll always treat your home with respect, carefully follow your instructions, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

About: Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life! I’ve always had a deep love for animals and taking care of them. Growing up, my family adored Great Danes, so I’ve had plenty of experience with big breeds. By the time I was ten, I was already looking after the family dogs, my own fish tank, and even a leopard gecko! My dream of having a mini zoo at home didn’t fade, and once I moved out, I could finally indulge in my love for cats. Now, we’ve got two Danes, four cats, and a whole flock of chickens. My friends and family know they can count on me to make sure their pets are happy and healthy, so they can rest easy and enjoy their time away. You can too, especially with the detailed notes and photos of your pet that I’ll send you during my visits. I’m not a dog trainer (yet!), but I do know how important it is to be consistent with training. With clear communication, I can make sure the hard work you’ve put into your training stays on track, even when you’re not around! I’m currently working remotely and part-time while undergoing medical treatment. I’m available to give your pets my full attention most of the day. My routine treatment and recovery periods are blocked off, so they won’t interfere with my ability to care for them. I exclusively care for pets within their homes because I can’t accommodate any more pets in my own. I offer either drop-in visits or full house sitting, so you can choose the level of care that best suits your needs. I respect that every pet parent has their preferences, so the more specific you can be with instructions, the better!
“Chi was AMAZING and definitely the best pet sitter we have ever had. She sent tons of pictures and updates, and our pets loved her (including a notoriously shy cat). As an added bonus, the house was even cleaner than we left it. We will definitely be booking her again.”

“Madisyn did an awesome job taking care of my pets. She sent me pictures of my pets when I was on vacation, was very attentive to their needs and went above and beyond more than once. I highly recommend booking with her.”

About: ❗️If your house has any signs of fleas, do not book with me.❗️I have always grown up with pets in my house hold, i have always token care of them when no one else did and gave them the love they deserve. We are with them their entire lives, while they are with us for only a portion. I will be gentle and patient with them until they gained my trust. I can bathe them and play with them too, i cannot groom though. But i can make them smell all yummy! College student! I do go to college all year, even in the summer! I don’t have an outside job, so the only thing taking me away from your furry family is school! I’m always open and i can always get to your fur baby’s when needed! I have 1 doggy of my own and she has fear aggression towards other people and dogs, i’ve learned to work around her personality and to go forward. I bathe my dog by hand inside my home every 1-2 months (depends on if she gets dirty, she’s got a self-cleaning coat) and she gets fed every night! (she eats at her own pace so i just top off her bowls) She is trained to sit, paw, talk, wait, and lay down! She is my first daughter and my soul dog! I love her to death!!
“Sharla was absolutely wonderful watching the pets! She made sure they were happy, kept me updated with photos, if she spotted an issue she was quick to bring it up, and she went above and beyond. She’s great!”

“We 100% trust Alyssa to take care of our dog and know he’s in great hands when she’s with him. We always get plenty of pictures and updates on Winston when he’s with her. We love Alyssa, and so does our dog!”

About: I and my family have been caring for a large variety of animals since I was a kid. I have looked after dogs, cats, rabbits and others. I have handled small jobs like taking my sisters friend's energetic husky on walks through their neighborhood. I have done things like take care of my neighbors dog and their rabbit while they were away for a week. I kept a family friends deaf dog Mickey at my house for about a month so I have some experience taking care of special needs dogs. I really love dogs and enjoy taking them on walks. I am a recent college graduate so I have a lot of free time to take care of animals. I am usually busy at noon to one on most weekdays with long term client. I take care of them. feed them on schedule, take them out when needed, walk them so they can stay healthy and give them attention to keep them happy. I also try to get to know each dog since they all have their own personalities and prefferences.
About: Currently no pets at home, but owned two large German Shepherds over 20 years, and lost my 12yr old German Shepherd last year. So I'm used to large aggressive breeds, puppies and older dogs. I'm ok with crate trained or dogs who are house trained. I work Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, but live 1 mile away from work, so I'm used to coming home at lunch to take a walk and potty break. Mostly home on the weekends. I can work from home on Fridays if needed to support a long weekend house sitting. I have large fenced yard, with all grass and used to throwing a ball for hours at a time. Tree lined streets for shaded walks. No other pets, kids or adults in the home.
“I am so glad that I found Malia to watch my 3 little dogs when I had to be away on travel. This was my first time leaving my babies in the care of anyone other than family members and it went so well. She stayed in constant communication and sent lots of pictures each day. She went above and beyond cleaning the house - she did the laundry for the bedding she slept on and even put our dishes away for us. Our dogs were so happy and calm when we got home from our trip. I would absolutely recommend Malia and will not hesitate to book her again.”

Eva was wonderful! We had a relatively last minute request and I’m so thankful to have found her! She is incredibly professional, scheduling a FaceTime call ahead of time to ask thoughtful questions to make sure we’re on the same page. During the stay, she was so sweet and took great care of our fur baby. She is also extremely commutative, sharing thorough daily updates and photos. Would definitely recommend her and already looking forward to working with her again!

Kendall was absolutely awesome with Benji! She was punctual, communicative, and treated Benji with so much love and genuine affection. It gave us total peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be rebooking Kendall in the future!

Absolutely amazing experience working with Chi. She sent multiple updates throughout the day without having to be asked, including photo and video. I was nervous to be apart from my dog for the first time, but I can tell that my dog had an amazing time. 10/10 would book again!

Elizabeth was absolutely amazing—truly everything you could hope for in a dog and house sitter and more. From the moment we connected, she made us feel at ease with her genuine love for animals. She was perfect with our dogs, giving them so much attention. It was clear they were happy and comfortable in her presence. She kept us consistently updated with messages which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She went above and beyond in every way- whether it was sticking to their routines, making sure the house was in great shape, or just putting in extra effort to ensure everything ran smoothly. You can just tell she truly cares. We couldn’t recommend Elizabeth more highly. She’s reliable, thoughtful, and incredibly sweet. Anyone would be lucky to have her as their sitter

Brenna is awesome and a pleasure to work with. While I was gone she needed to deal with a neighbors dog attacking my chickens killing 3. She talked with police and my son to try for a resolution with my neighbor. Brenna sent pictures and updates almost everyday. Her dog Coda was here to play with my 2 GSD and my dogs loved her. I highly recommend Brenna for any animal care and/or house sitting. She is dedicated, dependable, kind, and intelligent. Brenna is the best!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred League City walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in League City maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in League City choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
