About: I've had pets my entire life. I take care of large and small dogs and a cat here and there for friends, neighbors and referrals for 2 weeks or less, but I can do longer. Most of my care is due the pet owner going on a vacation. It got started bc I do house sitting and some of them had dogs. That is when I learned that I like dogs more than people most of the time and I mean that in a nice way. I flush every toilet at least every other day and run every sink at least long enough to refresh the p traps. Toilets get flushed, plants watered, I can mow the lawn too. I've handled emergencies before when it was 20 degrees and can shut off water gas power. When you come back to your house it'll be in perfect condition. I may charge more than others but I do a lot more and you can have a lot more trust in me. I'm not new to this. I'm just new to Rover. I take care of my own dogs AKC Doberman Pincher and our loved ditch rescue, got cats, a Rhode Island Red hen and a unclipped Conjure parakeet too. If you need the extras while your gone, let's figure this out bc I do real house sitting and I love pets! I am retired from the Security and Safety industries. I have been doing this for friends untill I started getting referrals, but I still have a lot of time left over so I spend it with my big dogs. I love taking care of animals bc they are so appreciative and love back unconditionally. I have selected a relatively small circumference of serviceable homes, so this means you're probably living pretty close to me. I can visit your home 2, 3 or even four times a day. If you really need me to spend the night I can do it. I update my calendar daily and look forward to taking care of my friends and neighbors pets every single day. I like to take care of the pets at your house. I just don't think my big dogs want to share their home. And I think most animals probably would have less stress being at a familiar place, after all there's no place like home. But I can take them for walks if you need me to. I will feed them exactly as you require and if you run out of food I can back you up. Since I am literally safety certified as a technician and a supervisor, I can ensure you that your pet will not be put in harm's way. As a former licensed security operator owner, I have decades of proven honor and dedication to my customers and their homes and belongings. But most importantly I dig dogs and cats so put that first. I honestly would rather meet or talk on the phone first before you pay for anything please. Details matter.

About: I've cared for animals my entire life and currently have two cats, a snake, and a frog of my own. Beyond caring for my own pets, I have extensive experience caring for dogs of various sizes, ages, and temperaments. My experience includes overnight pet sitting, long walks, administering medications, and caring for pets with special medical needs. I've provided care for dogs with diabetes and seizure disorders, including administering medication and remaining calm and attentive during medical episodes. I'm comfortable cleaning up accidents, following detailed care instructions, and monitoring pets closely for changes in behavior or health. I've cared for dogs in a variety of environments, including homes, parks, public spaces, boats, and around other people and animals. Whether your pet is energetic and adventurous or prefers a quiet routine at home, I strive to provide safe, reliable, and loving care that keeps them comfortable and happy while you're away. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities so they receive the same level of attention and care they're used to at home. I work from home and have the flexibility to set my own schedule, which allows me to provide attentive and reliable care throughout the day. Because I am not tied to a traditional office schedule, I can accommodate potty breaks, walks, feeding schedules, medication administration, and plenty of companionship. My flexible work routine makes it easy for me to adapt to your pet's specific needs, whether that means extra exercise, midday check-ins, maintaining a consistent routine, or simply providing company for pets who don't enjoy being alone. I understand that pets thrive on consistency and attention, and I make it a priority to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you're away. Whether your pet is energetic and active or prefers a quieter day at home, I have the flexibility and availability to provide the level of care and attention they deserve. As a Director of Operations, organization, communication, and reliability are a major part of my professional life, and I bring those same qualities to pet care. I provide care exclusively in my clients' homes, where pets can remain in the environment they know and are most comfortable in. I believe maintaining a pet's normal routine is one of the best ways to reduce stress and help them feel secure while their owners are away. Before each booking, I take the time to learn your pet's schedule, habits, preferences, and any special instructions. Whether that includes walks, feeding schedules, medication, playtime, crate routines, sleeping arrangements, or simply relaxing on the couch, I strive to keep their routine as consistent as possible. Safety is always my top priority. I carefully follow all owner instructions, ensure pets are securely contained when needed, monitor their behavior and well-being, and communicate promptly if any concerns arise. I understand that trusting someone with both your pet and your home is a big decision, and I treat both with the same level of respect, responsibility, and care that I would expect for my own. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable, cared for, and loved while you're away—and for you to have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands.

About: Hi! I'm Brizza, a 24-year-old Animal Science student at Sam Houston State University with 9 years of experience in veterinary medicine. I'm currently based in League City for the summer and look forward to caring for pets in the surrounding area. I've worked as both a veterinary assistant and technician. My experience allows me to recognize abnormal behavior early, administer oral medications and injections, monitor pets for signs of illness or discomfort, and provide compassionate, attentive care. Whether your pet needs medication, extra patience, lots of playtime, or simply someone who understands their unique personality, I'm happy to help. I currently volunteer with a wildlife rehabilitator to continue expanding my knowledge while building experience for veterinary school. I'm comfortable caring dogs, cats, and other small mammals, including seniors and pets with medical needs. Animals have always been my passion, and I treat every pet as if they were my own—with patience, kindness, and respect. I'm dependable, responsible, and committed to keeping both you and your pet comfortable through regular updates, photos, and communication while you're away. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or has special medical needs, I'd be honored to provide the same level of care and attention I would give my own pets. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! As a full-time Animal Science student, I have a flexible schedule this summer and am available for drop-in visits, dog walks, and house sitting throughout the week in the League City area. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, so I make it a priority to give every pet plenty of attention, exercise, enrichment, and affection. I'll happily follow your pet's normal routine—including feeding schedules, medications, potty breaks, and bedtime routines—to help them feel comfortable and stress-free while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities. With nearly a decade of veterinary experience, I'm trained to recognize subtle changes in behavior that may indicate illness, pain, or stress and can administer oral medications and injections when needed. I practice calm, low-stress handling and tailor my approach to each pet's personality, whether they're energetic, anxious, shy, or senior. I will treat your home with the same respect I would my own, carefully follow all care instructions, keep your pet's environment clean and secure, and provide regular updates with photos so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always been second nature to me. I’ve raised and trained puppies, cared for senior dogs with love and patience, and everything in between. I’m experienced in leash training, treat training, managing different energy levels and ensuring dogs feel safe, loved and engaged—whether it’s during a walk, playtime or while they’re relaxing at home. What sets me apart is my deep understanding of a dog’s emotional needs. I truly believe that dogs are healing animals and I approach each one with the same love and attention I give my own. I’m attentive to body language, responsive to their individual personalities and adaptable to their unique needs. Whether it’s a high-energy pup that needs an adventure or a senior dog that requires a slower pace and extra care, I’m here to provide the perfect balance of fun, comfort and love. It’s an honor for me to care for dogs and give them the affection and attention they deserve while their families are away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule during the weekdays, which allows me to easily incorporate pet care into my daily routine. As a dog mom and a mom to three kids, I’m used to balancing care and attention for everyone in my home. I’m available for walks, playtime, and check-ins throughout the day, but evenings and weekends are typically dedicated to my family, making my availability a bit less flexible during those times. That said, I’m happy to plan ahead and do my best to accommodate any special requests! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, safety, trust and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality, routine and preferences to ensure they feel secure and at ease. I’m attentive to their body language and signals, always making sure they feel safe and loved. In a client’s home, I maintain their established routine as closely as possible—whether that means following feeding schedules, administering medication or keeping up with favorite walks and playtime. I’m respectful of the space and treat each home as if it were my own. When pets are in my care, they not only receive my full attention, but they also have a very loving and social dog to play with, providing them with companionship and fun. Plus, they’ll be surrounded by my warm and caring family, who will shower them with love, attention and plenty of tummy rubs. I create a calm, loving environment where dogs can relax, feel safe and truly be part of the family while their owners are away.

About: I’ve cared for multi-diverse manner dogs for 15+ years. I have experience and certification in behavior therapy. So I understand motivation, reinforcement, and attending to differing array of expressed behaviors, as-well as creating behavior interventions plans to train for appropriate/desired behaviors for clients. I’m a voice actor, so my schedule is as I dictate it to be. I’ve got commitments, however I’ve got loads of freedom to attend to dogs full-time. It’s a true joy. When I render services I’d like you to consider your lovely pet on a holiday surrounded by private security. They will be safe in my fenced neighborhood, I will be present and interactive, and will bring so much fun they’ll be bouncing to come back. All my family and friends love pets and show much affection. My place will be an extension of your family — if you’ll have us.

About: I’ve taken care of puppies and all sorts of animals since I was little. I grew up around dogs due to extended family and close friends having them. I love all dogs, big, small, old or young and would love to meet more puppies and people. I have a year of experience working at a doggy daycare and boarding facility as well! I’m currently between jobs and the only thing I’m doing in my free time is theater. I’d start rehearsal at 7:00pm, so any time before that is perfect! When walking your dog, I will bring treats (if permitted of course) as well as toys. I’d likely walk them around your neighborhood and find a place to play with them for a bit to exert their energy. I do have experience with disciplining dogs as I had experience doing so at my last place of work.

I ventured into professional pet care four years ago, offering services both at my residence and at my clients' homes. Proficient in administering medications, including insulin injections, and equipped with basic first-aid skills, I ensure the well-being of animals under my care. My family comprises of my husband, three teens, and one elementary kid, along with our two crate-trained, pet-friendly small dogs and one indoor cat with a cat condo. A dedicated pet-sitting room is available for our furry guests, along with dog-walking services and visits to the local dog park if so desired. We treat every pet as if they were our own, offering grooming, bathing, and nail trimming services for both cats and dogs. Rest assured, your beloved pet will be pampered and cared for as part of our extended family for those wishing to have me care for your loved one in my home. If you prefer the convenience of having me drop in to care for your pets in the comfort of your own home, rest assured I are more than happy to accommodate households with multiple pets or one single pet. This option is ideal for those seeking to maintain their pets' routine and sense of security without the stress of traveling or disrupting their familiar surroundings. I am flexible and can tailor care to follow any specific routines you have established for your pets, ensuring their normal feeding schedules and potty breaks are maintained. Whether you have dogs, cats, or a mix of both, or reptiles, I am dedicated to providing the care and attention your furry companions need while you're away. My passion for animals has been a lifelong love affair, transcending species boundaries. 15 years ago, my focus shifted as I embraced motherhood as a stay-at-home mom to four children, managing the delicate balance between school and home life. Despite the demands of family responsibilities, I have successfully integrated professional pet sitting and grooming into my routine since 2019. With the unwavering support of my family, I will work to ensure that every pet under my care receives the quality attention and care they deserve. To maintain the high standards I uphold, I deliberately limit bookings, ensuring that I never compromise on the level of care provided. This deliberate approach guarantees that I can fulfill commitments without overextending myself, safeguarding the well-being of both our family and your beloved pets. Your trust in my services is paramount, and I am dedicated to prioritizing the needs of my furry clients and alongside my own. The approach to caring for your pets will vary depending on the service you opt for. When visiting your home, I will diligently adhere to any instructions provided regarding your pets' care routine. I will ask you to show me where you keep their food, how much is given and when, and the location the bowl(s) will be placed to eat and whether multiple pets must be separated during meals. I am committed to maintaining a clean environment, providing fresh water daily, promptly addressing any accidents, and ensuring the home remains tidy during your absence. Furthermore, I will seek your input on acceptable toys, furniture boundaries, and room access for your pets. By incorporating your preferences, I aim to create a comfortable and familiar environment for your furry companions. Your provision of toys and treats will aid in building a bond through play and rewards. Additionally, I will inquire about walking permissions for your dog, requesting that a leash, collar, and doggy bags are available. For pet care in our home, I limit stays to one pet family at a time (two pets max) to provide exclusive accommodations in our spare room. Initially, your pet(s) will have a get-to-know-you period to acclimate to our household members and surroundings. As comfort levels increase, they will have access to our home and backyard respectively, gradually integrating with our pets at a pace that ensures mutual security and well-being. I prioritize a smooth and gradual introduction process to prevent any unexpected incidents. During walks in my neighborhood, I will utilize your provided leash and collar or harness for your dog's safety. Your pet's food routine will be respected and followed with the food you provide, using the stainless-steel bowls we provide, unless you prefer to bring your own bowls. For puppies or dogs in need of containment, I offer a spacious crate with bedding and toys, tailored to their comfort and security. Information on crate training will be gathered to ensure your pet's well-being and reduce stress. Additionally, I am open to including your pet in pet-friendly errands for an enjoyable outing. My goal is to create a welcoming and happy environment for your furry family member, prioritizing their comfort and well-being above all else.

Emma was absolutely wonderful! She was so sweet, thorough, and communicative the entire time. Our dog Banjo loved her, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was in such great hands. We booked Emma to stay in our home while my fiancé and I got married, and she made our entire wedding weekend stress free when it came to our sweet boy. She took amazing care of him and kept us updated, which meant everything to us. We will definitely be booking Emma again for any future trips. Highly, highly recommend! 🐾

I absolutely loved my experience with Sarah, she was so patient and good with my nutty, picky gremlin puppy! I never worried about my pup, she always updated with pics and notes about how the day went. When her stay was over she left my apartment cleaner than when she got here, I would 100% recommend her to anyone who needs a dog sitter.

FAQs for House Sitting - Bacliff

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,562 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bacliff. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bacliff walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bacliff maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bacliff choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
