“Sarah, thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my pet. It gave me real peace of mind knowing they were in such kind and attentive hands, even for just a few hours. I truly appreciate your warmth, responsibility, and the genuine care you showed. I would gladly trust you again anytime!”

“Not only was she super responsive but she was so loving send sent pictures and updates. She went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations as a first experience with Rover. Thank you so much for loving on our Lily!”

“I cannot say enough positive things about Chi! She came to my apartment to house/cat sit and she was fantastic. She came over ahead of time to meet my boys and I could tell right away that she’d be awesome. While I was away she kept me updated regularly with lots of pictures which helped this cat mom be more relaxed on vacation. She’s a great communicator and my place was clean and just how I left it. It is great to be able to find someone caring and reliable to watch my fur babies for any future trips I go on. I cannot recommend Chi enough!”

“Roneisha is a kind and gentle soul that India, my standard poodle absolutely loved. She house sat for me while I was out for 5 days. My home was clean and well kept and India was happy. I would highly recommend Roneisha to anyone looking for a responsible and caring person for your pet and home.”

“Our first Rover experience and it was awesome. Sara had great communication. Our pets and house were very well taken care of and happy. Thank you so much Sara. Great experience and already planning another getaway.”

“Etni was awesome! She was very responsive and sent me daily pics of my pup, which I really appreciated. She stayed at my place while taking care of the pup and everything went super smoothly!”

“I am so glad that I found Malia to watch my 3 little dogs when I had to be away on travel. This was my first time leaving my babies in the care of anyone other than family members and it went so well. She stayed in constant communication and sent lots of pictures each day. She went above and beyond cleaning the house - she did the laundry for the bedding she slept on and even put our dishes away for us. Our dogs were so happy and calm when we got home from our trip. I would absolutely recommend Malia and will not hesitate to book her again.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting since I was a teenager. From 20 year old chihuahuas, nursing day old kittens, and 80lb king German shepherds.. I’ve volunteered at a few animal shelters. Taking care of animals is a passion of mine. My work schedule is 7-4, Monday- Friday and have evenings and weekends free. Over the weekends I am available all day and evening. For week days I can visit your furry baby any time after 4! I have a big fenced in yard and have two loving and playful dogs that enjoy making friends. I have 2 cats that are incredibly friendly but also leave my dogs alone. I have crates available and my neighborhood has sidewalks that are perfect for dog walking.

“Madeline took great care of our dogs while we were on vacation for spring break! She was great about following the specific food diet and medication regime for one of our dogs. We received many pictures of happy and smiling doggos.”

“Sharla was absolutely wonderful watching the pets! She made sure they were happy, kept me updated with photos, if she spotted an issue she was quick to bring it up, and she went above and beyond. She’s great!”

About: I have been dog sitting since I was 13 and have grown up with 2-3 dogs my entire life. Before heading to college, I volunteered and fostered dogs from a rescue group. I am an early riser, so I am more than happy to hang out with your pups no matter how early! I am home from college for the summer, therefore, my schedule is pretty open. I'm consistent and reliable whether I am walking dogs, doing drop-in visits, or providing overnight care. I make time every day to give pets the love and care they deserve. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize safety, comfort, and consistency. I follow the pet's usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any medication needs. I take time to build trust through positive interaction and gentle attention, especially with shy or anxious pets. While in a client's home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully to ensure their pets feel secure in their familiar environment.
“I cannot recommend Sam highly enough. She came and helped somewhat last minute, yet took the time to visit before and get to know our pup. We trust her so much and our dog loves her too!”

About: I've been around dogs my whole life and I'm currently in college so I have a lot of free time. I have 4 dogs(2 frenchies, a staffy, and a malinois) at the moment but they are extremely friendly and well trained. I'm in college but it's online so I have plenty of time to show attention and care for pets. I have a few appointments through the week, but my schedule is pretty clear otherwise! I am able to give dogs the care they need and I can follow detailed care instructions so please do not hold back on what your pet needs. My dogs run around in the backyard. I play fetch, tug of war, and give lots of treats. I give them mental enrichment toys such as a snoop as well as heavy duty chew toys(bully level).
“Keirstan watched my 3 dogs for the weekend and I would definitely have her house sit again! She always made sure to keep me updated, sent pictures/videos, took them to the dog park, and made sure they were always comfortable and tucked in for bed. I’m always nervous leaving my dogs but I felt at ease with her staying there and watching them. Will definitely be requesting her services again!”

About: I have a solid level of experience caring for dogs of various breeds. I like to provide daily walks, feeding, playtime, and in-home care while following each dog’s routine to ensure they feel comfortable and secure. I am attentive, reliable, and always mindful of safety. My consistent goal is provide dependable, loving care so your furry friend feels happy and well taken care of while you are away. I have a very flexible schedule so that allows my pet care to include walks, drop-ins, and sitting visits. I am able to maintain consistent routines while still being reliable and punctual. This flexibility allows me to give each dog attention they need without feeling rushed. I like to provide custom care for each dog which includes a calm, safe, and comfortable environment. I focus on safety, cleanliness, and make sure every dog feels at home.

About: I’ve learned so much from caring for my own dogs over the years. My first dog was a husky–wolf mix we rescued at age two and cared for until he was fourteen, which taught me patience, commitment, and senior dog care. I also adopted my current dog as a puppy—a corgi—giving me hands-on experience with puppy routines, training basics, and daily care. In addition, I’ve cared for many dogs of all sizes and ages, from small breeds to large breeds, puppies to seniors, including dogs who require medication. Each experience has helped me become a more attentive, adaptable, and reliable caregiver. I’m available Monday–Thursday with advance notice if you will be boarding your pet at my house or for me to pet sit at your home or if it’s a feed and walk . I can do weekends with advance notice. I have a friendly 4-year-old corgi who gets along well with other pets. I also have a large, fully fenced yard for safe outdoor play. Pets can be crated if needed or allowed to roam freely around the house. I do have stairs, but they are fully blocked off so pets do not have access to the upstairs area.
“Tatiana was proactive in making sure she knew everything she needed to know before the day-of. She is also very friendly and easy to chat with. Took great care of my puppy and I’d gladly book her again.”

Sarah was excellent! Took care of our Roxie girl, sent us pictures of her every day while we were on vacation! I love that she did a meet and greet with Roxie to make sure it was going to be a good fit for the both of the! I would 1000% recommend Sarah to anyone needing a dog/house sitter

This was our first time booking with Kendall and we had a great experience. We had a medical issue that came up shortly before our trip and she was very thorough and caring with our dog’s new needs. Kendall was also great with communication and pictures each day, and was very respectful when staying at our house. Thank you again Kendall!

Omg! Chi was the best for my team of huskies while away! She went above and beyond and kept me posted throughout the whole stay. She even cleaned my sheets (that smell amazing btw w/ her detergent) and she cleaned my house so it was a nice welcome back home. My dogs are super picky and they loved her! She was able to bond with them immediately and I knew they were in the best hands with Chi! Honestly I’m so glad I found her! 200% will be rebooking for the next sitting ✨🙏🏼

Brenna is awesome and a pleasure to work with. While I was gone she needed to deal with a neighbors dog attacking my chickens killing 3. She talked with police and my son to try for a resolution with my neighbor. Brenna sent pictures and updates almost everyday. Her dog Coda was here to play with my 2 GSD and my dogs loved her. I highly recommend Brenna for any animal care and/or house sitting. She is dedicated, dependable, kind, and intelligent. Brenna is the best!

Ana was fantastic! She house-sat for me for a week and took such great care of my dog and two cats. She was so patient with my 1 year old pup (who can take a little time to warm up to new people), sent great updates and photos, and even tidied up and swept while I was gone. She’s super easy to communicate with, laid-back, and genuinely caring. I felt completely at ease while I was away and would absolutely book her again.

Teri is simply the best! She’s been such a great part of my pups life as their favorite pet sitter. She’s a dog mom too so she knows how hard it is to leave your fur babies but she makes it so easy for me. I don’t know what I’d do without her. My girls just love it when she’s there and I feel so comfortable leaving them in such great hands.

Sofia was absolutely amazing and I appreciate her so much! Even though I couldn’t get updates while I was gone, she sent me info when I got back and made sure to stay until I was just about home so my dogs didn’t have a long period of being Alone. I will absolutely book her again!

Caden provided exceptional care — professional, compassionate, and truly devoted to the well-being of pets. I’d like to share a bit about my dog, Biggie, to highlight just how impressed I was with his service. Biggie is a senior dog with a number of health challenges, including a collapsed trachea, a heart murmur, anxiety (due to past trauma), and age-related joint issues. He also requires daily medication and supplements, along with a lot of patience and gentle care. Caden went above and beyond standard pet-sitting duties. His attention to detail, empathy, and calm presence made a noticeable difference in Biggie’s comfort and well-being. It was clear he truly cared, and that level of dedication gave me complete peace of mind. I’m deeply grateful for the care Caden provided, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter.

Carly is amazing! She took on watching my babies last minute and I appreciate her so much. She even squeezed in a meet and greet before I left. She was prompt, wonderful with communication, sent so many updates and photos.... I knew my babies were in the best hands. My house was in great condition and I had the sweetest note I came home to. I could not recommend her enough!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Webster walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Webster maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Webster choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
